This Christmas, beauty is more than skin deep! For years, Snow has watched her stepmother become more and more deluded. Now that she’s been left alone with the nasty Mrs. White, she’s made the choice to put up with the woman…right up until her stepmother’s new hobby pushes her too far. Coven Cosmetic’s Skin as White as Snow lotion might appeal to other women, but Snow knows it for what it is: her … it is: her stepmother’s attempt to change Snow, to make her admit her skin color is what defines her.
Asthmatic Reverend Hunter Woods has arrived in Everland just in time for the holiday, but didn’t expect to meet two little old ladies claiming to be godmothers. He certainly didn’t expect to be hit between the eyes with some kind of magic spell, and on the list of things he’d anticipated in his new home, meeting the woman of his dreams was at the bottom of the list.
But wandering through his beloved woods, he can’t help but be intrigued by the lace-decorated Christmas tree, the haunting voice lifted in Christmas melody drifting through the trees, and the beautiful, dark-skinned woman who is suspicious of his claim to be there for the healing properties of the waters.
But the more he sees of Snow White, the more he realizes she has every right to be cautious around him. Her stepmother is an evil woman to try to judge her daughter’s worth by the color of her skin, and despite his holy duty as Christmas approaches, he wishes there was some way he could help. But when disaster strikes, he learns he can do something; when called upon, he’ll give up his very breath for the woman he’s come to love!

This was an interesting twist on the Snow White fairytale. I liked that Snow White and Hunter Woods were not perfect, but were beautiful in their own unique ways, she with her light hair and darker skin and he with his asthma and love for the Lord and nature. The godmothers, who paralleled the seven dwarfs, were each unique with different skills and funny like the original dwarfs. It was great to catch up with characters from the previous books in this series. This can be read as a stand alone. However, I felt a chart explaining the characters appearing in the story and their relationships would have been helpful as there were a lot of backstories and it was confusing at times following them. This was a clean romance with paranormal elements.
Reverend Hunter has just arrived in Everland when he got sent for a walk in the woods by some odd ladies. There he meets Snow who lives with her wicked stepmother. They become friends but Hunter isn’t happy with just being friends. Will the strange reactions of her stepmother keep them apart, or a little magic from the godmothers bring them together?
This was such a fun story. Hunter and Snow are perfect for each other.
An enchanting twist on the classic tale of Snow White! This was my first trip to Everland and I am hooked! I’m definitely going back to start this series from the beginning. The author spun a delightfully, twisted tale based on the classic fairy tale Snow White. I love the message behind this story and it definitely delivered in the heart-warming romance department. I need a Hunter Woods of my own!
A delightful presentation of one of my favorite fairy tales. I took the time to re-read ROSE RED then read SNOW. The characters are interesting with enough drama and emotional interaction that you will fall in love with them. Except for the evil stepmother, wow is she ever bad!
I was so happy to be able to read a brand new Everland story by Caroline Lee. I missed the Everland stories so much. Snow is an awesome story that I just loved. I did laugh out loud and almost cried but it was a very enjoyable story and one you won’t want to miss.
I loved the hero and of course the heroine but that nasty step mom was really bad.
It is one story you will read from start to end as you can’t put it down.
I enjoyed revisiting other characters in this story and I have to say I have to go back and reread all the other Everland stories.
I enjoyed hearing about all the other characters in the other stories and what they are up to and what new things are going on in town with these other characters.
I also enjoyed those crazy Godmothers in the Everland stories and that they are up to lately.
Overall this is a really another good Everland story.
I received this arc from the author with no expectations to review. I did this review because I really loved this story.
It was great to visit Everland again and catch up with some of the characters. The godmothers where up to mischief again. I loved Snow White and Hunter’s story and look forward to more books in Everland.
Enchanting!!!! I enjoyed this visit back to Everland, Wyoming, and if you have never been there you definitely need to read Snow and the other books in this series. It is a sweet love story about “Snow White” and “Hunter Woods” that roughly follows the Snow White Fairy Tale. It amazes me how the author can weave so many fairy tale characters into the narrative! (The “Godmothers” crack me up!) It is a short read filled with love, faith, and humor. Don’t miss this new book by Caroline Lee!
What a lovely Christmas romance! Show and Hunter and Godmothers! It made me remember what it was like to call in love, and after 25 years ghosts sometimes hard to remember.
So, just at the time of year when faith is everywhere, we are entranced by a story with good and evil. With faith and love. With True Love’s Kiss saving the day (just like in Frozen!)
And if you’ve never tried to learn, getting is really HARD! So hands off for including that!
This is my first Everland book. I know the Guild of Godmothers because I love the books about Dr. Lachele Simpson and especially her book club. I think I’m tempted to read them all now! What more could an author want?
Thanks for letting me be an ARC reader. It was fun!
