The author is continuing the story of the Moonlight Wolves while introducing more characters for us to care about. Lea is a pack member that has no qualms about being friends with the visitors. Finn and Lea run into each other at a coffee shop and have an instant attraction. As they try to define their relationship, they are also called upon to fight the rogue wolves that have targeted the Moonlight Pack.

Gabriel and the rogue pack are escalating and planning an attack on the Moonlight Pack to be carried out soon but no one knows just when Gabriel will strike so all the wolves are training vigorously in order to be ready when the time comes to defend themselves.
Finn is pretty much an outcast but he has come to help out the Moonlight Maine Pack and he and Lea meet at the coffee shop near the training facility and both feel an immediate connection to the other. This connection grows stronger and a bond begins to develop the more they are together but they question this feeling. Is this something that is real or is it just a result of the stress and the times they are all living in?
The unpredictable scenarios and plot twists along with the action and drama are what make this series so great!! There is so much danger, yet romances develop and grow amidst all of the conflicts! Who are the next couple to find their true mate at a time where the future is so uncertain?!

Finn was introduced in the previous book Grant as a wolf who was visiting to be trained with the Moonlight pack. Finn made the mistake of hitting on Britta who turned out to be Grant’s mate, which did cause a few hostilities that are still being worked through in Finn but things do work out.
The story opens with Finn telling his fellow pack mates that they need to work on being better accepted into the Moonlight pack, never knowing what he was about to run into would change his playboy ways forever. Lea, on the other hand had spent the night drink with a friend and with a monster hangover went to the local diner not knowing that grabbing that morning caffeine fix would truly change her life as well.
A little bump, a meeting of the eyes, a flash of heat, and two lives are changed. He was the eternal bad boy, the player and she was the good girl, the two were anything but the other’s type but the fates took matters into their own hands. On the night of extra training, Lea is attacked and Finn helps save her from a rogue and the fire goes out of control.
Gabriel is still targeting the Moonlight group but they are working on finding solutions on the poison, on finding Gabriel, and finally finding peace.

Sarah J. Stone has written a 5-star book with this book. If you have not read Grant-Moonlight Wolves then you will need to read that one before this one to get the back story about Flinn. Flinn has come to the Moonlight pack to train because of the attacks on all the wolf packs around the world by Gabriel and his band of Elders and rogue wolves. The first time Lea talks to Flinn is at the coffee shop and she offers to give him a ride to the gym where they both train. On this day they end up being partners because both of their partners are absent. They both start to feel strange around the other but they don’t know why. As they spend more time with each other their feelings start to change and grow stronger for the other one. Lea is getting ready to go into the gym one night for a practice session with Flinn when she is attacked by a rogue wolf and Flinn is the first one there to help her. The Moonlight Elders have gotten word that Gabriel is going to attack but not when so they all have to train a little harder. The Alpha of the Moonlight pack sends out the word to all of them that they are under attack and Lea and Flinn are together when word comes out. After the fight, Flinn realizes his feelings for Lea have changed again.
Will the Moonlight pack win the fight against Gabriel and his band of rogue wolves or will they lose more wolves to him?
Can Lea get up the nerve to tell Flinn how she feels or will she keep it to herself?
Will Flinn tell Lea how he feels or after things are over will he go back home?
This book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last with all the twists and turns. I would recommend this book to anyone.
