I re-read as a lead-up to Duke of Sin Book 10. I agree with other readers and reviewers that Meg was just a bit too immature, impetuous, self-centered, etc. for my taste. Not my favourite book, but like all the others there are lovely romantic moments.
Also liked tidbits with James Trevillion starting to interact with the Ghosts of St. Giles and …
I’ll read anything by Elizabeth Hoyt. I love the way she describes the time period and the seedier side of London. Her characters are real and a little quirky. I was waiting for Godric’s story, and it didn’t disappoint.
This is Maiden Lane series book #5. It is the story of Godric and Megs.

Another great book by Elizabeth Hoyt in the Maiden Lane Series! Will be reading all the Maiden Lane books!
