Second Chance Love
Clay is a smokejumper. He’s good at his job, but his inability to focus on it result in many painful, unnecessary injuries. All because he can’t keep his mind off his ex-wife. He still loves her but Peggy chose his brother Colt when Clay was gone too much at rodeo competitions. It’s what broke them up. At least, that’s what Clay is convinced happened… This time, Clay’s injury is severe enough that he won’t be returning to smokejumping. When his doctor tells him he needs physiotherapy if he’s ever going to walk again, the last person he ever expects to see is…
Great story. It can be read independently but is better read in order of the series as past characters are very much present in this book. The theme of smokejumpers reminds me of Susan May Warren’s books. Clean Christian romance well worth reading.
I loved this book so much I read it twice having characters that you connect with is great. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flows smoothly.
Let Your Love Flow Again is a wonderful and exciting story. I laughed, cried and set on the edge of my seat and in the end was so very pleased with everything this book had in it. Janith Hooper is able to pulled you into her books, make you fill as you are walking every step with the characters. It’s well written, with wonderful characters, lots of plots, suspense and faith.
I loved this book just as I have loved all of Janith Hooper book. I’m looking forward to the other brothers and their stories. Well done Janith Hooper, Keep up the good work. God Bless You!!
I really enjoyed reading this addition to the series. The characters are interesting and I like how the author keeps characters from the previous books involved in the story line. Overall a great read.
Loved this new book in the series.
Clay Cooper has been a successful fire jumper but was injured. Back to spending time on his family ranch he is again injured, severely enough that he needs a physical therapist to help him walk again. The person assigned to him just happens to be his former wife. Suffice it to say that there is conflict between the two with lots of misunderstandings and adventures in the story.
Hooper’s book covers are a refreshing break from the usual couples on covers and, for me, give a little insight into the main character of the book. Her stories have a Christian outlook without being preachy. I am looking forward to the next story in this series. I was given an ARC copy of this book and am freely giving a review because I really enjoy Hooper’s writings.
Very intriguing book. A cowboy with a temper and a high school sweetheart, together again. You would think it would be magical, but not this one. There are so many twists and turns and upside downs, I couldn’t stop reading it. Nothing turns out the way you think it should, but it sure is interesting so read how they do turn out. I glad I read this story, and I hope you will, too. Janith is a superb writer.
This was a very exciting story, with lots of twists and turns. Young high school sweethearts Clayton and Peggy married young, unfortunately, before they were mature enough to face the rigors of adulthood. (I can’t imagine the appeal of a life of rodeo or smoke jumping, but Clayton has a passion for them.) As their marriage evolves, Peggy questions Clayton’s commitment and gives Clayton divorce papers – not because she wants a divorce, but because she wants him to wake him up and be a participant in their marriage. To her dismay, Clayton takes her up on it and they separate, something neither one of them really want.
Years later, she’s finished school as a physical therapist and Clayton’s suffered enough injuries that he’s left the rodeo for smoke jumping. A traumatic accident means he ends up in Peggy’s care, but there’s sabotage afoot and no one knows if the Cooper family and their heritage will survive. Clayton is so obnoxious I nearly couldn’t continue a few times, but I’m glad I did – the ending was worth it. I received an advance reader copy and leave this honest review voluntarily.
What a rollercoaster of a story!!!! It kept me turning page after page.
I look forward to reading each story as Ms. Hooper never disappoints with her stories. I was hooked with the very first one I read. I received an ARC and am leaving my honest opinion.
Ms. Hooper has a unique ability to write a captivating story intertwining three important themes throughout her books: the relationship, the mystery and faith. She draws the reader into the tumultuous lives and relationships of her Cooper Ranch characters through her authentic depictions and stirring plot development. This story spotlights Clay and Peggy, who married young and each made some immature and hurtful decisions causing their marriage to fall apart. This novel navigates through their painful past to a blossoming mature love that both heals and redeems their broken hearts. As with the other books in the series there is also a thread mystery and sabotage against the brothers and their ranch interlaced in throughout the plot. The faith theme is vital and significant because it gives meaning, revelation, and resolution to written story and helps the reader to see the providence of God in their own lives.
I received an advanced copy from the author. This review is my honest opinions.
