When friends become lovers, is their relationship screwed? When I told my friend Will that I was done with dating, he looked at me like I’d decided to give up oxygen. I’m not the first college princess to swear off kissing frogs, and just because we have a biology lab together doesn’t mean that he’s an expert on the birds and the bees, except… he’s given me a challenge—a friendly wager, so to … challenge—a friendly wager, so to speak, and a thousand bucks is on the line.
All I have to do is prove that he doesn’t affect me. Ha! Easy money, right?
Only I didn’t count on what it costs me to resist his panty-dropping smirk, dirty promises, and the way he gets inside my head. Giving up oxygen might have been easier, after all.
We’re both playing to win, but at what cost?
A Friendly Wager was first published in 2016 as Once Should Be Enough. It is a steamy, sometimes awkward AF, romantic comedy standalone novel about talking dirty and getting over your own hangups. And it’s hot. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

This was such a cute book with fun characters who despite the friendship they have make a relationship work. Will and Cassie are friends but things change when Cassie says”I think I hate sex.”Will makes it his mission to prove her wrong. He wants to make her feel good and wants to make sure she knows what she likes and doesn’t like. He shows her that she does have a voice and if she wants him to do something, she needs to either take charge or tell him about it to make it happen. Yes they have their issues and despite what I thought they had a strong communication between them but I was wrong. These two would do things and then the awkwardness would happen soon after. These two despite the amazing chemistry in and out of the bedroom they had, they still had stupid fights. It drove me crazy but I had to realize they were young and still figuring things out between them. They didn’t want to ruin their friendship but at the same time couldn’t stop the attraction they had towards each other. I really liked Cassie and Will. It was obvious they wanted the best for each other and supported each other a 100%.
