Lyssa had one job. Pretend to be her best friend’s doting girlfriend during a visit with his reclusive, ex-military hero father, John. But who could have predicted she’d be instantly attracted to the intensely rugged mountain man? Or that, despite their age difference, he’d not only want Lyssa back—forever—but would catch on to the ruse immediately? No way in hell Lyssa was his son’s actual … actual girlfriend. They weren’t even convincing liars. Forcing them to admit the truth, however, could hurt his son and John refused to do that. One thing he couldn’t refuse, though? His burning hunger for Lyssa. And if he wasn’t mistaken, his son continued to create situations that left him and Lyssa alone. Not touching his golden beauty before the truth comes out might prove to be the one obstacle in John’s life he isn’t strong enough to overcome…
…and the result could be a wild, enduring love for the ages.

I love her books, but this one really got me! It’s hilarious and steamy as hell. What a combination!
Well this just melted by kindle into a bubbling, sizzling pool of swoon and steam.
Just wow. The plot is fairly simple. Girl meets friends dad. Girl falls for friends dad. Friends dad is instantly destroyed by girl. Lots of sex comes next.
Simple but done so well. I absolutely freakin adored the fact that the heroine belongs only to the hero, she hasn’t spread her legs for other dudes to slime between and he claims her virginity for himself. YASSS!
This was an awesome quick read and Jessa Kane has yet to let me down with her short smexy stories. Keep em coming!
Mason and Lyssa are best friends, with that being said, Mason needs to visit his retired military father, at least once a year. Especially, if he wants his college paid for, so he and she, are on their way to the Catskills, to spend one night. Although, he doesn’t mention to her, his less than charming personality, until they are almost there.
You find out, Mason wants Lyssa to act like, his girlfriend because, John his father, doesn’t know he, is gay. Mason doesn’t think he, will understand. Once they arrive though, it becomes crystal clear that they are not a couple, not to mention you can feel the fireworks, going off between her, and John.
This is a gap age, she’s in college, a virgin, and insta-love for sure for both of them. Enjoyed the characters, they seem a little bit more realistic, than some. Free from BookBub and Kindle Unlimited.
I kind of loved this story. It was sweet and enjoyable. The characters were relatable. John and Lyssa met while she was pretending to be his son’s girlfriend. Mason was awesome and a great friend by wanting his friend to be happy. John and Lyssa were perfect for each other even with the age gap. I understood where Lyssa was coming from when she left the note. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.
Lyssa had one job while going to her friend’s father’s house for the weekend. She was to his beard. For Mason, his ex-military reclusive father would never go for having a gay son, so he needs Lyssa to play the role as his girlfriend just for the weekend to keep his father of his case. But even the best laid plans don’t always work out the way we think they should.
From the minute Lyssa and John locked eyes there was an attraction there that just couldn’t be denied. But Lyssa is there playing as Mason’s girlfriend and she won’t let a little bit of chemistry come between her and her best friend. But John knows all about his son and his sexual preferences, but if he wants to play the straight man he’ll go along with it…until it seems Mason is actually trying to push Lyssa and John together.
One of my favorite things about Jessa Kane’s books is she pushes the boundaries and always gives us some good down right smutty reads! I absolutely adored all the characters in this story and was a little bit happy that Mason knew from the minute they walked in the door that John and Lyssa were meant to be together.
This was my very first Jessa Kane book, and thank you IG for the rec! This was a shorty read but really satisfying. The heroine goes to meet her BFF’s father, pretending to be his girlfriend because he’s not ready to confess to his father that he’s gay. But the moment the heroine sets eyes on her BFF’s father, the sexual tension and attraction is sizzling, off the charts HAWT! There’s a big age difference, but that didn’t put me off. It was insta-lust and love, which doesn’t bother me at all. The chemistry was amazing, and what I really appreciated was it didn’t feel as if the hero “stole” the heroine’s future because of the age difference. She remained independent and was an equal partner in their relationship. This won’t be my last Jessa Kane book!
Hot.
Lyssa and John had great instant and steamy chemistry. I loved that Lyssa was such a great friend to Mason and I am glad that John had no problems with Mason being gay. I am glad that John chased Lyssa so they could be together.
