My dreams constantly haunt me, whether I’m asleep or awake. Six months ago, my life veered off course when my fiancée disappeared with no explanation. The partying lifestyle I’d adopted to cope, ended in an accident that left my body as broken as my heart. To make matters worse, I’ve managed to run off countless physical therapists in charge of the in-home rehabilitation I need to get me back on … to get me back on my feet.
My last chance at staying in my own house is gift-wrapped in wavy, auburn hair and startling gray eyes.
The woman that shattered my heart.
Kelsey is the only one left to help heal my body. And her unexpected arrival brings with it the opportunity to ask the countless questions I thought I’d carry forever.
But her answers only create a new mountain to overcome, one I never imagined.
Now, more than ever, I need to prove to Kelsey that despite everything, we are meant to be a family…

A truly emotional second chance romance.
Connor and Kelsey met in college and were in love, right from the start. But even after being together six years, they were torn apart by a secret that Kelsey just couldn’t share with Connor. When Connor is injured in a serious car crash and has to learn to walk again, Kelsey, a physical therapist, becomes his last chance at doing rehab in-home versus an inpatient rehab facility.
Kelsey knows that she might be Connor’s only chance at walking again and agrees to help him even though it’s killing her inside being around him and not with him anymore. The question is whether or not he can forgive her for keeping her secret and whether she can forgive herself.
This is the third book in the Meant To Be series but it can easily be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed reading Meant to be Family by Amelia Foster because it was such an emotional story about Connor and Kelsey. They were together for a while and were engaged, then Kelsey just ups and takes off with no notice of where she went. Connor was beside himself and he has something happens to him that changes his life. Kelsey comes back into his life as his physical therapist. This story was so emotional and it told the story in the past and that lead up to the present time. It was a wonderful book that I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest opinion. I loved it for the passion that each of the character feels for the other. I love their pet names for each other as well. I would highly recommend reading this beautiful story.
Good read and romance. Love bad boy romances.
These Carlisle men are pretty special. This story’s about Connor and he’s my favorite Carlisle so far. It was great to see bits and pieces of the previous couples; that being said, if you want to understand some of the dynamics, I’d highly recommend you read the first two books first. Anyways, back to this book, Connor and Carlisle meet in college and go through a lot together. Their relationship, in spite of their differences, appears to be successful until Kelsey walks out the door. Their story is complicated and sincere. Their path very tumultuous but worth the work.
The third book in the series brings Conor and Kelsey’s story. It’s a second chance romance with all the emotions and issues they will need to overcome. The author does a wonderful job developing their relationship and moves it fluidly with her descriptive scenes. It’s a beautiful love story and I enjoyed reading. I would recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
A lack of communication can cause so much damage
Meant To Be Family is the third book in the Meant To Be Series Book by Amelia Foster. This is the story about Connor and Kelsey. They were college sweethearts and then got engaged with a future mapped out together. But suddenly and without explanation Kelsey leaves and Connor is shattered. Trying to cope her turns to bars and alcohol, a lot of alcohol. But the other women do not enter the picture as every time he picks someone up he just cannot do it as he still loves Kelsey.
After an accident Connor is in need of physical therapy but he is angry and rude with all the PT’s that come work with him. They are down to the last PT, his last chance, and in walks Kelsey. Well you can imagine how that goes over. But as he wants to get better he is forced to work with Kelsey. It does give him a chance to vent to her about what happened, what has happened to him, what she did to him, etc. She is taking it for the most part as she does still love Connor and wants to see him well again. Along the way secrets get revealed which may give them a second chance if they are willing to open their hearts to each other and take the leap of faith

The Carlisle men are some pretty special guys, once they realize the error or their ways.
This story focuses on Connor but I was excited to see tidbits of Tanner & Izzy and Wyatt & Georgia from the first two books in this series. While you don’t have to read those books to enjoy this one, some of the past that is mentioned will make a little more sense if you have read the first two books.
Connor and Kelsey have been together for a very long time after meeting at college. They endure a lot together and despite their differences manage to have a successful relationship…that is until Kelsey walks about the door with no explanation. It takes an accident to bring them back together. It isn’t an easy road back and it takes a lot of give and take on both Connor and Kelsey’s part.
I do have to say I was very disappointed with Kelsey and the reason why she left. Why did she not talk to Connor about what was going on in her life? Did she really think he was going to leave her over something that wasn’t her fault?
I do understand the frustration on Kelsey’s part (not why she left) with Connor’s behavior and not cleaning up after himself, but Kelsey is a little OCD and needs to relax. My husband is like Kelsey and I’m like Connor so I get that dynamic and how hard it can be on both sides. Of course, if you ask my husband we live in a hoarder’s house which is the furthest thing from the truth!
I enjoyed the past and present chapters because it gives the reader a history about Connor and Kelsey and their relationship. I learned so much of their life in the past and how it affected their life in the present.
If you are in the mood for something light but still has some twists and turns and a happy ending, then this book might be the one you want to pick up next.
We give it 4 paws up.
Kelsey and Connor were a couple about six years ago then Kelsey left without an explanation. Connor was heartbroken and led a partying lifestyle that ended in a tragic accident. Kelsey comes back into his life when he is needing an occupational therapist. The therapist turns out to be Kelsey. Connor has changed from the man she loved into a grumpy unhappy man. She thought she was doing the right thing when she left him but turns out it was all wrong. Can the two work things out and become friends then more? A good read that made me tear up at times and happy at others.

Kelsey disappears with a secret she can’t share, destroying Connor in the process. He’s out of control, and has a horrible accident. Kelsey’s the only one who can fix him, inside and out. Remarkable story of forgiveness and redemption. The characters are so real and well developed. And perfect together. The story flows and is easy to read, just so emotional. I enjoyed their journey back together.

This is the third book in the series and the first one that I have read. It was a very touching and wonderful story about loss and second chances. Connor and Kelsey were a couple for 6 years and due to one unforeseen circumstance, she left him without a reason why. She comes back into his life when he is at his lowest and when they are finally able to talk, she is able to tell him why she left. She thought it was better for him but in reality, it wasn’t. This story was so good and it was nice to see them overcome the past and get the HEA they deserved.

This book is the third one in the Meant To Be series. Meet Connor and Kelsey, these two have a past relationship that ended with broken hearts and a lot of questions. Connor was in an accident and needs a physical therapist to help him but he keeps running the others off. Kelsey is now a physical therapist and his last shot to get him on his feet. This was a really enjoyable second chance story. There is so much in this book, the story line flows so smoothly and the characters, they bring you in and have you on their emotional roller coaster right with them. This is not an easy journey for Connor and Kelsey but the journey is so worth the read. Enjoy!

The books in this series just keep getting better and better. Meant To Be Family (Meant To Be #3) is such a touching and beautiful second chance romance. Connor and Kelsey’s story was relatable, emotional, they went through so much and at times my heart broke for them. They were an amazing, charming couple and they more than deserved a HEA. I love the Carlisle boys and I’m looking forward to reading Dean’s book.
I’m a new reader to Amelia Foster and I thoroughly enjoyed this second chance romance. Connor and Kelsey are the perfect pairing and definitely stole my heart.
When Kelsey walked away from her fiancee for reasons you will just have to read about it devastated him. Connor’s life began to spiral and when things take a definite turn for the worst Connor and Kelsey once again cross paths.
An emotional story that will tug at your heartstrings as you root for Connor and Kelsey to find their way back to each other.
When Kelsey makes the decision to end things with Connor, she knows it’s what’s best for him. Too bad Connor doesn’t feel the same. Now she’s back, only Connor’s changed. Seemingly no longer the tenderhearted man she loved (loves), he’s grumpy and angry. Kelsey’s the last person he wants but she’s the only rehab therapist who can heal him. Will Connor ever find out why she left him with no reason?
This is a banner day for me – 2 tearjerkers in one review day is 2 too many! But, though tragic, Meant to be Family is a wonderful story full of love and hope. As second chance romances go, this one is top notch!
I liked this emotional book. It had me on the edge of my seat with this second chance story on many levels.
This is the first book I’ve read from his author… and btw it won’t be the last. I’ve just realized it’s the third installment in this series … sooo I think I need to go back and read the rest.
But onto this book.
It has a swoon worthy theme while still pulling at the heart strings. The perfect combination of both.
Let me just say I luv Connor.
