Short, drama-filled and sweet
Oh man, I was not prepared for the Christmas drama, but I should so expect this from the Faithful Fall crew! Getting to see my favourites during the holidays was such a joy. Julia and Luke never fail to make me smile.
I love how Ms. Linder introduces new faces into each book and gives us a sense of the wider town and it’s residents. I’m especially excited for the next book with that little bombshell at the end! Oh my days, I’m addicted to this series and I need more already.
I loved everything about this book from the well developed and engaging characters that have lots of chemistry. And the storyline that flowed smoothly from beginning to the end.

This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Elle Linder; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

More Family Drama than Romance
I think I was expecting a more traditional romance because that word literally appears in the series name. I don’t think I would really call this a romance at all. It is more of a family drama set at Christmas time. The heroine is feeling a little more stressed than normal as Christmas approaches. She is adapting to being a stepmom, which she loves despite its challenges. Her mother can be difficult to deal with as well. Really, though, this is about some of the craziness that can happen with family and friends during the hectic holiday season. Even though I hadn’t read previous books of the series, the author definitely wove in enough backstory that I didn’t feel lost nor did she overwhelm the novel with too much backstory all at once. I loved the little scenes as the heroine interacts with all the people in this story. I particularly liked her times with the children. Her love for them and their acceptance of her was a beautiful thing.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
It’s holiday time in a small town. Julia is so thankful that she and Luke has such a wonderful life together, but it can be a bit overwhelming at times. Brice is missing his mother, and Heather wants to date. Lauren’s mom is driving her crazy, and her dad shows up and wants to be in her life again. Holiday cheer is spreading, though, and the Hamill’s have a full house for Christmas dinner. This is a really nice story, very low-key, and a minimal amount of drama. It seems that everyone is pregnant except for Julia. Will it happen when we read about Zoe’s romance? I loved reading this book, and can’t wait for the next one.
