Drew has betrayed everyone who loved him when he embezzled money from the family company. It has been years since he felt like a part of the family anyway. Sonya has spent her adult life working “marks” for expensive gifts, clothes, shoes and items she could lift when she disappeared. When one of her marks went wrong it places her directly in Drew’s path. Can two people who have lied to the world for so long help each other see the truth?
OMG Grahame Claire hit it out of the park with Thick as Thieves. I laughed, wanted to kill Drew and cried while reading. I love the characters in this series and will miss them like family. I was so glad to get to know Loretta better and see her strength first hand. Gabriel is such an amazing child and could win over even the most reluctant person. I had a love/hate relationship with Drew and honestly wasn’t sure he could redeem himself. It wasn’t easy but he made me understand him. I know this is the end of these characters but I can’t wait to see what amazing things Grahame Claire writes next.

This story is about Drew Carter. The conniving brother, liar, who embezzled a Billion dollars from the family oil company. Shading dealings, skipping out on unpaid bills. It’s just Drew trying to stay one step ahead from any more disaster he brought into his own life.
Then he met his match in Sonya, a sexy, con artist, liar, pickpocket.
They are physically attracted to each other. Their connection radiates electricity heat, lust, desire. When together it’s love/ hate , trust/lies, steamy sex. Drew is dominant , he takes what he wants and lets Sonya know it. She’s used to being with men on her own terms, but there is something more to Drew Carter, she just can’t figure out. She sees a tender side of him whenever he’s with his mother. He gently takes care of her during her illness, even when his father doesn’t want him near her.
Grahame Claire really makes Drew and Sonya two lost souls that needed each other and were healed through turmoil and hot, steamy sex. There are underlining reasons in their lives that made them the way they were. She answers the question, “What were the circumstances that drove Drew to the point of retaliation?” I thoroughly enjoyed reading this last book in the series. I received an ARC and offered my honest review.
