Should it wake, its nightmares will consume the world… Rubin, but wishing for more almost lost her everything, and she’s not about to lose her witchlands to its nightmares caused by the villagers. That is, until the dreaded cult arrives…
Kaspian has never wanted the rulership, but when his father passes away, he has no choice but to ascend to lord. With tensions high between the village and the witches, trust lacking between him and his subjects, and a heavy heart turned toward the wood, Kaspian can’t help but wish for someone to take it all away… And then a familiar face from his past comes to grant it.
With a tide of blood and demons in its wake, the cult arrives to cleanse the so-called stain of witchcraft upon Rubin, and it won’t stop until Brygida and her mothers are dead. But with demons closing in and the fitfully slumbering wood ready to wake, the cult’s spark of violence could destroy not only the region of Rubin, but everything. Desperate for allies, betrayed by blood, and alienated from one another, can Brygida and Kaspian stem the dark tide of the cult together, or will they, their people, their lands, and everything drown in the mortal inevitability of blood, demons, and a waking wood with an insatiable hunger…?

Fall of the Reaper (Witch of the Lake Book 3) by Miranda Honfleur , Nicolette Andrews is an amazing story that I have read. This is book number three in this amazing series that I have loved from the begining. I highy recommend this story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
This final book in the Witch of the Lake trilogy is an amazing ride! I was hooked just as I was with it’s predecessors from page 1 until the very end! Miranda and Nicolette do an excellent job of weaving this story so well that I was enthralled imagining the world unfolding around me and feeling what the characters were experiencing. This is most definitely one of my favorite series I’ve read so far and highly recommend diving into it!!
If you read the first two of the Witch of the Lake series, you really need to finish it for the final showdown. If you haven’t read the first two, get Witch of the Lake: The Complete Trilogy, start at the beginning, and be sure to binge the series. There are a lot of characters to keep track of and the stories merge from one to the other.
This book continues the story begun in Witch of the Lake: the meeting, romance, and eventual pairing of Brygida and Kaspian. Books 1 and 2 really need to be read first; this book develops the world and characters from the previous books. Kaspian and Brygida are still separated six months after Book 2, but they long for each other and to be together again. The Cult of Weles is returning, led by the Prophet and causing problems as the rumors and discontent spread. Brygida and Kaspian and their families, as well as the loyal subjects, are all threatened with violence and death by the Prophet’s minions. Tension increases throughout the book to the final bloody dramatic showdown. In the epilogue, Kaspian and Brygida finally get their well-deserved HEA.
I enjoyed this final book in the Witch of the Lake series. Loved the vivid descriptions of the settings and all of the fantastical creatures and beings as Brygida must defeat the cult which is trying to destroy her people and Kaspian’s town. In the process, Kaspian and Brygida finally find their way to each other. Recommended for anyone who enjoys fantasy, mythical creatures and a great adventure.
I really enjoyed Fall of the Reaper. This was a very enjoyable series which featured Polish Historical/Mythological scenes. Brygida literally has to fight her demons in order to gain forgiveness and return to her home. I liked the story that spanned the three books and was thrilled with the outcome. The scenes between Kaspian and his brother Henryk were my favorite. I think the tale of the Mrok Witches that welcome new life into the world, and protect the woman who created it is very entertaining.
I give Fall of the Reaper 4 stars for its Polish Folklore.
I would recommend this book to Paranormal Fans.
A fantastic end to a great series. I will greatly miss these characters.
A fantastic read that grabs me from the first page to the last. Its a fast past read with epic scenes, the scenes are written so well that I can picture them in my minds eye. This is the third installment of the series. The Authors are really creative and that makes this is a real page turner with twists and turns that keeps you enthralled with this read. I definitely recommend this captivating read. Its a must read.

Fall of the Reaper is my favorite book in the Witch of the Lake trilogy. It grabbed me right from the start and never let go. Brygida struggles between two gods, one she is bound to and the other she hopes to redeem herself to. Unfortunely for her, these two gods seem to serve opposing sides, forcing Brygida to make some seriously tough choices along the way. Meanwhile, Kaspian is struggling to rule in his father’s footsteps. To make matters worse, the Cult of Weles has infiltrated Rubin.
It was exciting to witness the personal growth both Kaspian and Brygida experienced. I also enjoyed more development of some of the secondary characters. The storyline is fast-paced and unique, filled with magic, demons, cult-mentality, danger and intrigue. All in all, this was a very satisfying ending to a great trilogy!
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The authors want to note that a rough draft accidentally was sent to Amazon as their final draft. So anyone who has purchased a copy of “Fall of the Reaper” can get an Edited, Clean copy by emailing either author with a copy of your purchase and a new updated version will be sent to you.
This is my favorite book of the three. The writers really came together on this one and produced an exciting story. It’s full of betrayal, love, revenge, crazed villagers, and a dang cult. I love the universe Ms. Honfleur and Ms. Andrews created with Czarnobrzeg. Great world-building. And it’s wonderful to see how most of the characters have come into their own and matured. It was an exciting read all the way up to the end and chapter 6 was just mind blowing, I couldn’t believe the turn it took. The ending is such that everything appears that everything has been brought to a nice conclusion but there were a couple of unanswered questions for me that could lead to another book. ?Don’t Know? “The Fall of the Reape” is so amazing I highly recommend this third book in the “The Witch of the Lake series”.
The wonderful end of the series. This was a wonderful story and this was the best of the three! It had our heroine making very hard choices as she tries to do right. This story had action, adventure, intrigue and twists as the story progressed to see where it all will end. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Miranda Honfleur and Nicolette Andrews are two of my favorite authors. I think that I’ve read all of their previously published works and I’ve pretty much adored all of them. Same has held true (no surprise, all things considered) with their Witch of the Lake series. So now we come to that series latest book, Fall of the Reaper (Book 3). Things are looking pretty bad for Brygida and Kaspian (see the publisher’s blurb for a good description that doesn’t spoil anything), but I’d never lose faith in our champions. The path they take is a very exciting one and I love how the plot makes use of Slavic mythology that I new little if anything of. Wonderfully written this book is a total blast to read and easy to highly recommend.
Oh, and by the way, in case you missed it, the authors posted a notice after the kindle publisher’s blurb that they mistakenly uploaded an older draft of this novel to Amazon that was NOT edited nor proofread. Their notice says this has now been fixed (so if you want to buy it now you will get the final corrected version that was uploaded). If you download the book and it has 20 chapters and an epilogue, it is the correct/most updated version. If you downloaded the incorrect version previously they say that they are happy to send a correct file to anyone who needs it and emails a proof of purchase to @gmail.com">mirandahonfleur@gmail.com.
