I thoroughly enjoyed this one! The story revolves around Alley, a princess that’s known as a Dark One, competing in a paranormal competition under an alias, when the place is attacked by assassins. She teams up wit Hal, a man who’s using an alias, fight their way out, but get separated. There’s plenty of drama and plenty of secrets playing out behind the scenes on both sides of the different kingdoms that will keep you guessing until the end of the book. There’s plenty of witty humor and many thrilling action-packed scenes that have you greedily turning the pages just to see how it plays out! I highly recommend this one!
This is the first book I’ve read about Shifters, Dark ones and Vampires and truly I was amazed at how it was written. M L Tompsett combined sex and family with some extra super human touches, in such a beautiful manner that you would keep on reading until the end. I recommend buying the book for you to read.
Princess Alley is destined to marry a dark prince but she isn’t that keen on marrying someone she has never seen because of an arrangement made when she was a child. If she can find a soul mate, this will release her and so she does at a warrior games event when someone sets out to kill her and the man she escapes from the compound with, but they lose touch when forced to separate. Now Alley’s life follows some incredible twists and turns because things are never as they seem. This is an intense read that is intriguing and very moving. Highly recommended for anyone who likes a different type of paranormal that is a breath of fresh air.
Predestined to be the next Queen of Darshia, Princess Alley Smithlyn is put to test when a handsome ghost from her past arrives. She must choose between keeping the peace of two nations while living a life full of lies or a hope for better future.
Alley with her spunk makes for a worthy heroine and is easy to root for. The secondary characters are developed with depth and skill. The romance is steamy, emotions run high, and shocking twists keep the tension high.
With its intriguing paranormal world, topnotch characterization, and steamy love-making, the novel makes for a page-turner. Highly recommended for lovers of paranormal romance.
It’s a hard one to put down. It sucked me right on in. Enjoyable and an easy read. If you like paranormal, give this one a try. The characters and the entire world they inhabit were engaging. I didn’t read the first ones and started with this one. No problem, there was enough information for it to be read as a stand alone.
Alley’s life hasn’t been an easy one. In order to end a war and bring peace between two kingdoms, she must live a life that’s based on lies. That is, until a love from her past returns and hope for a better life looms on the future.
The story is loaded with action, suspense, and plenty of moments of tenderness. I loved the character Alley. She was strong and independent. While there was a lot going on in her life and in the wonderfully-built world around her, she held strong, doing what she needed to make it through to another day. I love to see that in a female protagonist. I also liked the way that the idea of mates works in this book too. It’s certainly unique.
Engaging paranormal romance at its finest.
I really enjoyed reading this book; the story is really good. The book starts out in the present and then goes back 7 years. I thought there was a major timeline issue and even went back to check it was 7 years not 7 months, but no, there was no issue; the book just wasn’t going the way I thought it would. It was a nice surprise. This book is not predictable and keeps the reader engaged. It has some nice concepts, like the way the need for blood and soul mating works, and some small things, like the children’s powers at the end, elevate it.
It wasn’t until I got to the end that I found out that this isn’t the first in the series. You definitely don’t need to read the previous ones first to follow what is happening. Would you get more out of the book if you did read the other first? I have no idea, but I plan on finding out. I would like to read more by this author.
I loved the conflict lock in It’s You – in a true case of “can’t live with your soul mate / can’t live without him”, Princess Alley Smithlyn is put to the test when it comes to being patient and long-suffering with two intricately connected soul mates, Philip and Wolfy, one of whom she trusts and the other, a true traitor. A complicated plot line with many twists and turns with keep you turning pages as quickly as you can to see what happens next. Danger, frustration, Dark Ones, Shifters, family, friends and steamy scenes all work together to make magic come alive. in It’s You. I’ve read the others in the series, but you don’t need to have done so to enjoy It’s You.
