A year ago Jackson stepped away from his family’s company and his girlfriend Natalie. He’s says he’s a changed man now with a three legged rescue dog and in addition to saving the failing family company he wants her back. But she’s not just going to forgive him and only agrees to work with to help him figure out who is ruining the business and save it before it’s too late. I loved his dog Obi. But I found the writing to be a little stilted and abrupt.
Susan does it again! I started reading her books when she wrote them under the name of Dean Hodel. They are sweet, romantic, entertaining and a pure joy to read. You’ll fall in love with the characters, the story line, and the romance between the characters.

This storyline was familiar to me, with Natalie being the trusted non family member that everyone went to for help. In this case her past relationship with Jackson and her close relationship with the matriarch of the business made Natalie the go to person.
Jackson ended the relationship with Natalie a year ago and hurt her deeply. He came back in the guise of saving their family company but was really there to win back Natalie.
Their relationship was stiff at best and very slow to heat up again.

Jackson really got things a bit twisted. His first wife was flash and show, and died suddenly in an accident.
Natalie was the kind of woman to build a life with. Instead of that, he panicked and left. The best thing he did in that time away was adopt a three legged very zen dog.
Jackson may be a rain maker, but the family does not seem to appreciate his skills or his setting boundaries for them on how they can and cannot use company funds – those pesky laws .
Does a socially awkward CEO deserve to have a sweet gal with a good heart back n his life? Probably not. If the dog is on his side, maybe he has a chance. Given the awesome way Natalie cooks, the dog is smart enough to try to stay with Natalie whether or not Jackson does.

Is it weird that my favorite character is the rarely seen roommate? I really liked her sense of humor. The other characters were harder to like.
The story itself was well done and well paced, though.
Although I found the timeline of their previous relationship confusing (it might just be me) I enjoyed the story of Natalie and Jackson trying to figure out what they each want. Jackson’s family’s company needs him and he needs Natalie’s insight to find out why the company is in trouble. Meeting Jackson’s family explains a lot about why he has trust and commitment issues. Susan Warner gives us a good story with a mystery and a rekindled romance.
Take Two is a the first book I have read from Susan Warner and I am excited to add her to my bookshelf.
Jackson and Natalie’s journey will take your emotions on a roller coaster ride that will leave your heart racing. Natalie loves Jackson but is hurt by his rejection. Jackson realized to late that he make a mistake and now doing everything he can to get Natalie back. Natalie is a strong woman. She has done her best to get past her feeling for Jackson, now she won’t put up with anything.
I fell in love with all the characters in the story not just Jackson and Natalie. The chemistry and relationships makes the story enjoyable.

This one wasn’t really my cup of tea. It was well written for what it is. It just didn’t engage my interest.
Take Two
There was a lot happening in this story, some of it seemed to flow while some of it didn’t, I really liked Obi
A sweet second chance romance between two people dealing with their relationship and trust issues get a second chance at love. It was an okay story it was just difficult for me to really get into and connect with the characters.
Heartwarming
Love is in the air. Grams and Gina can see it but can Natalie and Jackson find their way back to one another? Beautiful feel good romance with a touch of intrigue. Loved it.
Jackson Banner might be the CEO of his family’s business but he has no clue what to do when he has a good woman who wants to marry him. He realizes he screwed up with his reaction with Natalie. Natalie Tucker has move on in her life, but it’s odd Jackson’s grandmother is asking here for a favor to take something to him. It seems weird that his family is asking her (his ex) as a go-between , I can understand that to a point, I got along great with my ex inlaws . It’s also strange that Jackson pretty much assumes that Natalie will just drop everything just for him. In my opinion that makes him a jerk but he can only get better. As the title state , this is a second chance romance and Jackson will need his A game to get Natalie back. Your going to have to read to see how it all ends. But be prepared of his family of as*holes.
*sigh*
I really hate to write this review on this one…but here it goes.
The synopsis of this story really appealed to me. I love a good story where one of the characters messes up with the other and has to grovel when they’ve realized what they did wrong. However, when it comes to this one…there really wasn’t much groveling. For a year Jackson tried to find a way to get Natalie back, and yet for all his business smarts his grand idea is to take a hiatus from his company and let his be run into the ground???
I was a bit confused as to why the family, every single member, would turn to Natalie with their problems. For the matriarch she turns to Natalie to help bring Jackson back into the fold of the company. The 2 cousins go to Natalie when they get caught in a bind when one of their clients starts to blackmail them. Then the aunt goes to Natalie to fix the problem for her kids because if the grandmother finds out she’ll disown them and if Jackson finds out he’ll use it as it weapon to see them out of the company… So why Natalie? I think if there would’ve been an epilogue to kind of give the reader a chance to see how Natalie fit in with the family and the bonds she might’ve made with them could’ve given us a better idea.
Honestly, I’m not sure what these two characters did during the first 2 years they were “dating” because obviously it wasn’t getting to know each other since neither one seemed to have any idea of how their family life was growing up, just like neither one seemed to know each other’s ideas of what they considered romantic. Throughout the story I wanted to throttle Natalie for her hypocrisy. She’s constantly on Jackson’s case about being honest and truthful, yet when the cousin’s issues are brought to her, and they’re big ones that could have negative impacts on the company, rather than tell Jackson she keeps all the secrets to herself promising she’ll get Jackson to fix them….but someway somehow she plans to do this without telling him….
The story pretty much ends with none of the problems being fixed. Or at least not that the reader gets to read about (unless the solution is later on in the series?) and all we get is a “I love you and always love you” kind of ending that just comes out of nowhere considering they went from Natalie wanting to hide their reconciliation from the public but also determined to not give him another chance.
Take Two is the wonderful second chance story of Natalie and Jackson. They were in a relationship when Jackson left to start his own company. Gram sends Natalie to bring him back to solve the problems in her company. There is a lot of family drama, well developed characters, great storyline and the resolution keeps you waiting until the end. I really loved the 3 legged rescue dog, Obi!

This book 1 in the Love Endures Series is a very well-written story with characters that have a Second Chance at Romance. These characters are very well-constructed with depth and history. He is losing everything, but had already lost his greatest treasure – her, through his own stupidity. And she has moved on, stronger and lonely but she must forgive in order to trust again. This story is interesting and entertaining and a must read 2nd chance

Jackson and Natalie had been a perfect pair, but when Natalie proposes to step it up, Jackson rejects her. But living without her is not as easy as he had thought, so his one priority now is to get her back at all costs.
An intriguing story of how far a man might go to reclaim his love. Funny as well as a small mystery that Jackson and Natalie have to solve to save family members mikes it an interesting and entertaining read.
