From USA Today Bestselling Authors Cora Kenborn & Dani René comes a brand new genre for this pair. A paranormal romance with a dark twist that will leave you on the edge of your seat!I can’t breathe. I don’t think. I run.MilaRespect death and it will respect you. Those were my mother’s last words, but she’s not the one called to crime scenes full of pissed-off spirits demanding justice. I’m … one called to crime scenes full of pissed-off spirits demanding justice. I’m a sensible homicide detective. Conversations with dead people were never in my job description until a string of murders rocks the French Quarter and dredges up a dark force wanting one thing–me.
I’m in over my head.
Unfortunately, help comes in the form of Odyn Broussard, a cranky, condescending pain in my ass. I’ve always heard it’s best to fight fire with fire. If that’s true, Odyn and I are about to ignite an inferno.
Odyn
I’m retired.
That’s what I should’ve told the pushy brunette who showed up on my doorstep demanding my help. Now, I’m fighting in a world I swore to never return to with Mila who claims she doesn’t believe in our gift. Against my better judgment, I’ll train and protect her, but I won’t give in to this dangerous attraction.
I’ll never make that mistake again.
I have to choose between protecting Mila or driving her into darkness. One will win the battle, and one will end the war. But there can only be one survivor.

This was a fantastic PNR! Detective Mila needs help, and Odyn is pulled out of “retirement” to help her. He has absolutely no interest in being dragged into this investigation, but it turns out he and Mila have more in common than they ever expected! This book had some amazing twists, and the turn of events as secrets are revealed brought things to a head, as they finally figure out what was really meant to be!
Oh my was this book fantastic. This was written by 2 fantastic Arthur’s Dani and Cora. This is about Mila who has a special power that she is denying she has all the while someone is trying to kill her before she realizes just how powerful she is. Odyn who is a Necromancer is sent to help her and soon they realize they have more than just professional interests towards each other.
I loved this story from start to finish I couldn’t put it down the whole time it was that good. I would definitely recommend one clicking it.
Paranormal romance is probably my favorite genre, so when I heard about this boxset full of talented PNR authors, I was ecstatic. The world needs more sexy PNR stories!
“Cursed in Love” by Cora Kenborn and Dani René it’s PNR at its finest, since it’s set in the magical New Orleans, that everybody knows is an iconic place for everything paranormal.
We have our main female character, Mila, who is a detective and has a gift. She doesn’t believe in her gift, but when murders start to happen around her, she starts to believe she’s special and she could use her power to find out who is being all of those deaths. To help Mila in her quest, we have an awesome male character, Odyn. The name itself is magical, since Odyn is, among many legends, the god of divination and like our male protagonist he is in contact with the dead.
There’s a link that connects Mila and Odyn, but I’ll let you find out by reading the rest of this novella.
I’ve read stuff by Cora Kenborn in the past so I knew I liked her books, but I’m surprised by Dani René as well. I like how easily the writing flows and you just want answers, and I also like how the authors are able to write realistic and engaging dialogues. Definitely a story I’d recommend.
FANTASTIC!!!
I’m a huge fan of Cora Kenborn and Dani Rene. Let me just say that together they are fantastic. Cursed In Love is so well written. I love the characters. They have great chemistry together. This story grabs your attention from the very beginning and holds it throughout. I couldn’t put it down. I loved it.
Kindred Spirits…
PNR is quickly becoming one of my favorite genres. Dani Rene is an amazing author and it does not surprise me that she shines in this type of storytelling. Cora Kenborn is new to me, but she is now definitely on my radar.
Odyn and Mila captivated me right from the get go. The building sexual tension between the two of them is smoldering hot. Odyn and Mila both are very gifted in their abilities to communicate with the spirit world. But it comes with a price when they bothhave to face truths that could destroy them both. The intrigue in the development of their story was fascinating to watch as everything unravels.
When I heard that two of my favorite authors were collaborating on a book, I couldn’t wait to read it! These two powerhouse authors blew me away with their words! The story of Mila and Odyn will capture you from the very first word, so much so, that I read it in one sitting. Both Mila and Odyn have something special in their lives, and when they meet, you just know sparks will fly! Both characters are very strong willed and are a perfect fit, but can these two ever possibly end up together? As this story takes you on a twisty path, you will become enthralled with these characters and the storyline. I absolutely loved it and so will you.
This PNR will pull you into the story with the first few paragraphs. We’re introduced to Mila as she speaks to a about what’s been occurring in her life and things that are not of the norm. Odyn shares the same abilities as Mila to an extent and having the dual POV for these characters throughout the story gives us a full 360 with the desire to continue reading straight through and never wanting to put the book down.
Cursed In Love by Dani René and Cora Kenborn is off the chain, slap you in the face fantastic. I am a big fan of PNR so when I heard two of my favorite dark romance authors were teaming up I was super excited. However they did more than meet my expectations they far surpassed them. René and Kenborn came to slay, and baby did they ever slay the house down.
I loved Mila from the start and her chemistry with Odyn was something that had a life of its own. Mila is strong, sassy, independent with just enough vulnerability to not come off as a bitch. Odyn is the type of man you want in your life. He’s loyal, strong, dependable, sexy, with just the right amount of alphaness to not be an asshat. I loved the banter between them, and how their connection came natural and didn’t feel forceful.
This was not the type of PNR I’m use to reading (i.e. shifters, Fae, and such) and it was refreshing to see something new and different. I’ve never read about a necromancer before and it was great seeing a new type of “paranormal”. I loved it and I can’t wait to see more stories like this from these two *hint hint ladies.
What an exciting PNR a real page turner that grabs you from the very first page as we learn the strenghs and abilities of Mila who is one stubborn woman I was just like OMG listen to this man as she goes head to head with Odyn at every turn. Full of excitement, danger everywhere not knowing what to expect and a whole lot of hot could not put it down.
Wow! I loved Cursed In Love by Dani Rene and Cora Kenborn. I want to say that PNR isn’t my normal go to genre but when two of my favorite authors teamed up to co-write this amazing book I couldn’t resist. I’m so happy I gave it a try because Cursed In Love had me hooked from the beginning unil the end. I just couldn’t get enough of the characters Mila and Odyn. Mila is a beautiful determined detective that just discovered she has a special skill and Odyn has a similar one as well. When they decide to team up together things start to heat up and things get very interesting. These two authors did such an phenomenal job that I was on the edge of my seat.
Cursed in Love is written by two of my favorite authors, Cora Kenborn and Dani Rene. Also, it is not the normal genre I usually read and different from anything I have read from these authors. This intrigued me.
In Cursed in Love, Mila and Odyn are both strong-willed and stubborn. When they meet it causes a stirring fire that only grows throughout the story. Read the story to find out what happens when Odyn and Mila deal with spirits while trying to control their passion.
Normally I am a huge fan of Dani Rene, but this book fell short for me. It was not a terrible read, just not on par with this author’s other works. It was an interesting attempt at paranormal, but I feel like the story itself was rushed and not developed as well as it could have been. Mila is a detective and Odyn is sent to assist her, with more than her current case load. These two have chemistry and it’s a powerful force all on its own. Solving the crime, mastering the magic and finding love, this story had all the ear marks of a fabulous novel.
When I heard that two of my all time favorite authors were collaborating together I had to have it! This is so different from what they each normally write. Mila and Odyn are both very strong willed, stubborn and courageous characters. Dealing with spirits from another realm along with trying to fight their hot passion towards one another made for a very all consuming read.
