After more than a century of solitude, my captivity has suddenly ended. One could be forgiven for presuming that I would embrace my newfound freedom, but at least in prison I was safe from harm. Now, walking the world again on my own, I am ordered to bring my former ally to justice once and for all. But the mad king Teran certainly won’t come without a fight, and I’ve been forbidden from using my … from using my magic to capture or kill him.
If only this were the extent of my troubles. Instead, I’m lost in the modern world, beset by the rage of the Archer clan, and held captive by a dragon who cares nothing for the havoc the mad king will wreak upon the world. Instead, he ensnares me in a web of pleasure I can’t deny.
Not even a dragon as mighty as my captor can hold Morgaine le Fay against her wishes for long. I will succeed, even if it costs me everything.

OMG! I seriously need to apologize to Morgaine….because i was almost sure she was one of the villains, and it turns out she TOTALLY wasn’t!
The only excuse i have is that Raisa showed a side of her in Wicked Truth that made me think she was trouble with a capital T….
And it turns out she had good reason to try to end the Archer line….with Lily being the last survivor.
After Omer pushed her into that menhir, she spent a long time raging, until she calmed down and actually appreciated her time there.
The peace and quiet, with opportunities to learn about the world outside, was good for her.
Until she’s thrown back into the world….and forced to deal with Teran, mad king of the dark sidh, once and for all.
Because he escaped his prison, and Lily and her husbands are in danger.
And she’s the lucky one to find and destroy him, because she’s expendable…..
Only when she arrives in New York, things get out of control fast, and nobody listens to her warning.
“Lucky” for Morgaine,Drako intervenes and seperates from Lily to take her to his caves.
He’s not convinced of her intentions and plans to play a little with her until he grows bored.
But the more he sees of her,the more he starts to have his doubts….
Because she doesn’t act like the mage he thought she was.
She has nightmares that worry him.
She cries when she thinks he can’t hear her.
She acts like she feels guilty of her actions, and deserves every bad thing done to her.
She keeps insisting Omer sent her to kill Teran before he destroys the world.
And then he goes to far in his attempt to get her to submit to him.
The terror he smells on her, isn’t something he expected, and he starts to change his mind about her.
She’s hiding a secret….what really happened to her, what did Fergus Archer do to her?
When he finds out the truth, his only goal becomes Morgaine’s happiness.
But with Teran on the loose, and Morgaine wanting to fight him alone, there’s little hope of that happening…
Will he be able to convince her to do this together?
Or will she succeed in keeping him away from the fight, and die trying to kill Teran alone?
I ended up loving the Morgaine that was hiding behind that mask she showed the world.
The Morgaine that was deceived and used when she was young and innocent, and ended up being drained of her magic on a regular basis.
That was vulnerable and only wanted to be loved by someone.
And at the same time was tough, and smart, with a wicked sense of humor.
And i loved Drako,a dragon that needed to learn how the world works.
His sense of humor, and loyalty to those he loves.
His readiness to admit he didn’t know stuff, and wanted to learn as much as possible.
The way he opened his heart to Morgaine, and his readiness to kill anyone that hurt her.
I was very happy with where they ended up,and all i’m left with,is a need to hear Feather and Rizan’s story…..
This is an interesting new novel about Morgaine Le Fay and the life decisions she made. The worst one was falling for the light Sidhe Fergus Archer, yet you have to feel sorry for her. Fergus was an expert seducer and Morgaine was still naïve. It didn’t help that he spiked her drink. It was horrible to watch him rape her and then allowed every member of his family to draw upon her magic. She vows revenge.
Morgaine’s life becomes extremely difficult and at the same time becomes the best it ever has since she was young and still with her parents. I could feel her confusion when her prison is suddenly destroyed, and she was thrust into the 21st century with nothing to her name.
Draco has an interesting sense of humor and I love how confused he is of everything that is the 21st century. It was a great amount of fun (with some LOL moments, like when he commented on the band, Korn) and I love how the author made their relationship change over time. Trust slowly building until lust takes over and then over protectiveness. One of the first kind things Morgaine finally receives is a good meal, a bath, and clean clothes making her finally feel like a real person. Draco doesn’t know how to deal with her emotions, though, or how they make him feel. There’s a lot of growing and changing both characters have to do.
I did think the ending was rather rushed. But I adored this plot and the twists and turns that make it an interesting read. So many different relationships and watching them change and develop is a real pleasure. So, the only things I would like to see change is the beginning take off a little faster and the ending not to be quite so quick. A great read especially for those that love the old legends of Britain.
WICKED FIRE is the third book in the Wicked Magic series, and we continue our story by focusing on Morgaine and Drako. Morgaine was imprisoned within a menhir but it broke and she was free. After being ‘oh so nicely’ given the instructions to go to America and save Lily, she goes to fight Teran. If that saves Lily, all good. Drako is expelled from Lily’s body and into one of his own at long last. Together, he and Morgaine try to get up to speed with the times, as well as learn how to work together. Pretty hard going when Drako knows Morgaine isn’t telling him the whole truth.
This was such a brilliant book. I devoured every word. Morgaine and Drako are absolutely perfect for each other, once they get past the mistrust. I love how Lily and her men are interwoven into this story, becoming an integral part of Morgaine’s life.
There are other characters that drew me to them though, Yan and Feather to name just two. I’m really, REALLY, hoping that Feather gets her own book. She does have her very own dragon after all! Plus Yan and Omer’s story isn’t over yet either. Oh, so many stories I still want to read!
I would recommend you read this book after at least reading book two in the series (Wicked Truth). Like I’ve said, it involves Lily and so I think it would help. Basically though, I recommend this book. It is hot, it is emotional, it is full of action and adventure. Absolutely brilliant!!
I received a review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Confession time. I got a sneak read of Wicked Flame during the editing process and this, to me, is the best of the three. So much so, I’ve yet to stop thinking about it. Here’s why. If anyone follows my reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, and/or The Romance Reviews, then you know how much I enjoy retelling of classic myths and legends. I love it when an author gives us a fresh take or brings the characters into the present. In Wicked Flame, Morgaine is released from her prison and told that she must stop Teran before he destroys humanity. There’s just one problem. She’ll have to do it without her magic. Forced to seek alliances that could prove her undoing, she heads to New York.
Likes: Morgaine’s ability to cope and function in the modern world was fantastic. Her no-nonsense approach to things along with her embracing of technology was well done when juxtaposed against Drako’s seeming ambivalence and ignorance of all things modern. Their chemistry is fantastic and I loved how protective Drako became of her while she seemed to fight him every step of the way. Speaking of fights. The showdown with Teran and resulting battle would bring Jon Snow to shame.
Overall, this is excellent storytelling. Some of the characters from books 1 and 2 play integral roles in this book and a bit of a spoiler here, but you’re going to LOVE the Thunderbird. She takes snarky comebacks to a whole new level.
Book 3 in the Wicked Magic series brings us Morgaine’s story where, yes, the villain gets a happily ever after. While each of these stories can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend starting with book 1 in order to immerse yourself in this world.
The third and final book in the series and it certainly ended with a bang.
This book must be read after Wicked Truth otherwise it won’t make any sense. The focus of this story is Morgaine. I didn’t like Morgaine at all in the previous bok, so I was curious to see if the author would make me like her. And guess what, she did.
We finally find out what really happened between Morgaine and the Archers and the story of the dragons is also told. It is a rollercoaster of emotions and actions. I had to laugh while reading about Morgaine and Draco, but it was also very touching at times.
I wouldn’t mind reading another book in this series.
This is another great entry in this enticing series. The storyline holds your attention well with a fun combination of magic, shifters, drama duty, danger and desire. The characters are interesting and share steamy chemistry. I think what I’m really liking about this series is that it provides a very different spin on something you might find familiar. I find these twists refreshing and entertaining. Very enjoyable.
