Another great book by Jenna Brandt! This is a great story that takes place in Silver Pines. The characters are so wonderful and make you feel apart of this growing town. Elizabeth is a spitfire and was not a very likable character at first, she did grow on me, and I rather liked her a lot by the end of the story. George is a sweetheart and has had his heart broken several times but he can definitely hold his own. A great story about new beginnings and finding oneself. A sweet clean romance that keeps you hanging on every word. I am anxiously waiting for Brandt’s next wonderful book!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed reading this book! I enjoy reading about some of the characters that I remember being in other books too. Anything this author writes will be very good! I recommend this book to anyone who likes romance!
A very rich young woman who loves her life. BUT she thinks she can do no wrong . . . until her aunt finds out what she has done and sends her to ‘visit’ her brother – forever! NOW WHAT??
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.
I enjoyed reading this simple, clean romance about a strong willed, if a little flighty, young woman, with a desire to make the world a better place, and the sweet young man who wanted to stand beside her.
Jenna Brandt does it again!! Elizabeth is a wealthy suffragette in Boston until she pushes her limit a little too far and is sent to her brother’s house in the middle of nowhere. She is a headstrong, spoiled only gets her way type of woman but is put in her place a little when she realizes that she will not get her way and can’t return to Boston. When she is thrown from her horse livery worker George “catches” her. He has had a difficult love life and doesn’t think he will ever find love. Can a spoiled suffragette and a livery worker have a HEA? Must read to find out!!
Well Jenna Brandt has done it again! She’s written a sweet historical romance that centers around a wealthy woman suffragette who gets herself in hot water. The book was entertaining from beginning to end. I wanted to shake the female Elizabeth Holt a few times, boy was she sassy and rude, she got her comeuppance and ended up being sent out of Boston out to Silverpines, Texas. She does not want to stay with her brother and sister-in-law and believes the time she has to stay there can’t end soon enough; she soon finds out her Aunt isn’t going to take her back in Boston. She meets George the local livery man and is rude to him but he seems to like it! The book was a fun read all the way through and if you haven’t read any of the five books that came before this like myself, it doesn’t matter you will still enjoy this book as much as I did!
I was sent an advance reader copy from the author, and the review was written with my own words and thoughts.

After reading the Tycoon book by Jenna Brandt – I had to get this Companion novel… FANTASTIC!! Another hit!
I loved this book!! I especially liked that they originally got off on the wrong foot, and it was Elizabeth’s attitude that did it!! She did need to grow up, and it was very fitting that it was her brother and sister-in-law that told her so!! She’s a great match for George, though, and he finally got his happily-ever-after!!! And, even better, he and Elizabeth told off his ex!! LOVED It!!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to write a review. The opinion expressed is my own.
Elizabeth isn’t happy when after a scandal she’s forced to go to her brother in Silverpines. Her behavior isn’t very nice specially when she meets George who only wants to help her. George has lost two women to other men but he thinks they won’t be a good fit….or will they?
It’s always fun to read a Silverpines story and getting to know new characters and catching up with familiar ones. Two strong characters who can take care of themselves but aren’t also too stubborn to accept help.
Another great story by MS Brandt. Elizabeth is a suffergette. She inherits a little bit of money and tries to prove her aunt wrong….. However it lands her being sent to Silverpines. (Which honestly I would love to visit) How will this Boston socialite who is used to attending the most prestige events handle this transition?
Well written characters. Great easy to read storyline. Sweet romance.
I received a copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own
I agree with her aunt Oregon was good for her.
Elizabeth Holt our suffragette has been shipped off to Silverpines and she is not at all happy. George Caldwell left Texas to chase after a woman just to be rejected not once but twice, poor guy. This quick cutie was so entertaining. Miss Elizabeth found out that she needed to come down a peg or two and I enjoyed reading about it. I loved the interaction between all the characters. This was just the right book to read on a rainy afternoon with a hot cup of tea too. High praise for this one I hope you pick it up. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
In The Tycoon’s Sister, Elizabeth started out as a real brat, but she soon improved her attitude. Once she forgot to be entitled, this became another sweet romance from Jenna Brandt. There is some suspense/danger as Elizabeth looks for a suffragette group to join. It was nice to catch up with Harrison and Willa although the book stands alone. I very much enjoyed George. If you like clean, historical romance, this is a book for you.
This was a really good book. I love Ms. Brandt’s writing. The characters were wonderful. You don’t really like Elizabeth too much at the beginning but she wears you down to where you really love her. George is just a sweetheart, period. Love these companion tales.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
A great read by Jenna Brandt. Once I started reading I could not put it down. I had to see what was going to happen with George and Elizabeth. This is a clean and sweet read.
Why is a Boston debutante going to Silver Pines? Elizabeth Holt had a happy life in Boston…. Part of the women’s suffrage movement, parties, dinners and nights out, plus she was a woman of means. But she pushed that a little far and ended up going to stay with her brother Harrison and his wife Willa, in of all places a remote town out west.
I have to say, I just wanted to shake Elizabeth!! She was just plain rude, spoiled and thought her time with her brother would only be a short stay. But she was in for a rude awakening! She really couldn’t go back to Boston, and as her brother said stop acting like a spoiled child.
But fate seemed to step in when she met George Caldwell who worked at the livery. George had a hard time of it with ladies, after being unlucky in love with two women. But when he met Elizabeth and started getting to know her, he thought, maybe….
Such a sweet story as only Jenna Brandt can tell that had me fully focused until the last page! Loved it!
This is a fantastic read. This really pulls at the heart strings. This Author has done a fantastic job at the world building and bringing the characters to life. This read is definitely a home run that I definitely recommend as a must read.
Shauna Joesten
Such a sweet and charming story. Rich girl meets poor livery worker. When they first meet it was comical and it did not seem as if they would hit it off. But circumstances keep putting them together, where they become friends, and then the New Years kiss that pulls it together. Fireworks. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
This book was so good!! Once I started reading I couldn’t stop. It is a clean well written story that makes you feel like you are there. The author brings the book to life with her words. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

At the beginning of this year I had the pleasure of reading the ‘Tycoon’s’ story. The one about Harrison and Willa.
Today I finished reading the Sister’s story and have enjoyed it just as much.
It tells of how George and Elizabeth meet and sparks fly when they do.
Then slowly they get to know each other and fall in love.
Jenna Brandt has written a beautiful love story. One that I read and thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end and I came away feeling that I had been happily entertained – and you could too.
I read an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of the ebook and this has been my voluntary and unbiased review of it.
