A best friends-to-lovers, stand-alone romance from New York Times Bestselling Author, A.L. Jackson . . . Evan Bryant wasn’t your typical hero. But he was mine. Broken by the worlds’ standards, he was still the strongest boy I would ever know. My best friend. The boy I’d given everything to. My heart, my body, and the promise of forever. The day I’d needed him most, he walked away. He left me … walked away.
He left me shattered and questioning the love I’d thought we’d shared.
Three years later, I wasn’t prepared for him to return to Gingham Lakes.
It wouldn’t have mattered if he wasn’t the most beautiful man I’d ever seen.
My fingers still would have ached to caress his skin.
My body still would have begged to get lost in his touch.
And my heart . . . it would have always sung his name.
But time changes things. With it, secrets that could ruin everything.
Can we find a way to love again, or have the fears of our past stolen the hope of our forever . . .

I just finished Hold on to Hope and I am so beyond emotional right now. Evan and Frankie Leigh have an epic love story and A. L. Jackson reminds us that “a life without love is the most tragic thing ”
We first met Evan and Frankie Leigh as children in Show Me the Way (if you haven’t read it, one-click now because it’s amazing!). They were fast friends, best friends really. They were absolutely adorable. They don’t have an easy road. They each had a sucky parent and Evan, poor sweet Evan has medical issues. Hold on to Hope picks up when they are in their twenties, three years after Evan left his family. A decision that was hard for him to make but one he felt was for the best. God, this story is part heartbreaking and heartwarming. It’s about over coming fear and forgiveness. It’s beautiful and poignant HEA.
Hold On To Hope by A.L.Jackson has so many intense and extreme emotions mixed together. The feelings captured my heart and gripped it painfully. Her amazing words bring out every single emotion with perfection. Tissue, wine and hugs..I need them all.
We people with normality take it for granted. And often misunderstand and demean the persons with less privileges. Their everyday life is a struggle and source of immense inspiration. I am so glad that the author decided to bring such a person alive in her book. Evan is the most incredible person ever. With an artificial heart and gift of eternal silence, his goodness shines above everything. And every fight needs a knight. Frankie Leigh is his knight in shining armour. The girl who gave him hope, strength, light and life. And yet, he hurt her by living her behind because he did not find himself good enough for her. But now he is back. With a little something in his life. And Frankie is still in love even after being utterly destroyed by him. With her own secret and danger from Evan’s life hanging over their heads, can they find their HEA? After all ,human hearts can take only so much pain.
What I love most about A.L. Jackson’s stories is her incessant attempt to explore all the emotions of her characters. She won’t stop till you feel all their love, pain, happiness and passion. Evan and Frankie Leigh has been best friends since they first meet. And they have this unique, bone deep, all consuming and heartbreaking bond. I was positively melting and swooning hard with their chemistry. It was hundred percent angst fest and I won’t have it any other way. Their love was that kind that defies everything and can survive anything. A really special and heart rending love. Their chemistry filled my eyes with tears and burned up my kindle with it’s ferocity.
True love stories are never easy. Hold On To Hope by A.L. Jackson is one of those epic love stories that made me breathless. Agonising passion and sweetest love was flowing through the brilliant words.

There really is nothing better than a book that obliterates your heart. Hold on to Hope, Evan and Frankie’s story is one such book. It hurts to read because it makes you feel everything. From the start I wanted to keep reading I needed to know why Evan left and could Frankie forgive him. The author has written characters who seem real because they aren’t perfect they have flaws and make mistakes. Evan’s return brings back so many emotions for his family but also trouble has followed him. A good second chance romance from an author I love.
Wow, just so you know, this will slay you. Slay. You. In the end, you’ll be put back together (she promised ), but getting there, be prepared. There will be tears. Your heart will feel like it’s being beat up. But you’ll laugh too. And there’ll be a lot of awwww moments. I mean, first off, it’s Frankie Leigh & Evan. Loved and adored as kids, and now loved as adults. But with being adults come adult problems. And maybe even some scary ones that aren’t your norm. But it all adds to its amazingness. And I want more! This was just awesomeness
