Princess Rheanna’s self-esteem shattered when her former fiancé unexpectedly ended their betrothal. Years later, the rejection continues to haunt her, and now that she’s faced with yet another unwanted political engagement, Rhea will do anything to avoid another heartache. When a mysterious lure draws Rhea to an abandoned turret of the palace, she discovers a magic mirror and is shocked to find a … shocked to find a snarky man trapped inside. Although she agrees to help break Drake’s curse, things quickly grow complicated, for not only does she begin to fall in love with him, but breaking a curse proves quite difficult when she herself feels trapped––by her own self-doubts.
Rhea and Drake’s relationship sets in motion a series of events that threaten both herself and her kingdom. As she seeks to unmask the evil within the palace and overcome the poisonous doubts consuming her mind, Rhea must make a difficult choice between the path she’s expected to walk and the man she’s forbidden to love. But the more time she spends with Drake, the less convinced she becomes that doing her duty will be worth the sacrifice it will cost her heart.

Fantastic book with an interesting twist on Snow White. I’m so glad we finally got to see Princess Rhea’s story after first meeting her in Pathways. Her character growth was slow enough to make me invested, but not so slow as to prevent me from enjoying the story. The way her insecurities constantly reappear reminds me of the very real struggle of overcoming them in real life.
One of the best things I like about Camille Peters’ writing is that she portrays the challenges of romance both before and after marriage. Too often “Happily Ever Afters” ignore that the couples’ lives together have only started a new chapter.
I loved reading this book, and I can’t wait to read about Prince Briar and his curse in the future.
I haven’t read anything in over a year and yet, Camille Peters has done what no other authors could do; got me back into reading. Reflected is the first book in this series that I read, and even though I’m coming in to book four, I was immediately drawn into the story. I love Rhea’s character. The way Camille wrote insecurity made me sympathize with Rhea and relate to her so much. I absolutely love Drake and I ship him and Rhea SO MUCH! This was such a beautiful love story full of twists and turns that I can’t and won’t spoil. I did see most of them coming but it was an entertaining love adventure nonetheless. What a flawlessly written book—so enjoyable for me to delve into and I literally can’t wait to continue binging the series. I also love that she gives hints to future characters, like Briar, as well as past ones, like Liam, so I can’t wait to go back and read his story with Anwen as well as I look forward to reading Briar’s as well. It did have a few grammar mistakes, but all books do and it didn’t take away from the story at all. I was fully immersed and in love and can’t wait to read more. Camille is a sweet, fantastic author who writes the most intense, sweet, cleanest romances that I absolutely adore. And I’m excited to say that this is my first book review all year long!

This was probably my favorite book from this series yet. I don’t often read Snow White retellings so this was quite refreshing. Rhea was such a good leading lady, with her insecurities and struggles feeling so real and relatable. My gosh, there were a couple of conversations (with one main one with Rhea’s mother) where I had tears welling up. It’s hard to make me cry while reading, but I came so, so, so close! My heart was breaking on multiple occasions for Rhea as I read. I very much enjoyed trying to figure out the mystery of Rhea’s mirror man as I read, though I was disappointed in myself as all my theories proved to be wrong until Rhea figured it out and only then did I know too. Basically the author did her job well and I need to work harder in the future to solve the mysteries faster. The ending was missing something and I can’t figure out what. It was still a good ending and I was satisfied enough but I’m not sure that I will get full closure until I read future books that (I think) will involve some of the new characters mentioned in this book. All in all, it was a good fairy-tale retelling and I enjoyed it.
This was such a good book! I loved it, it left me wanting more. Reflection is the fourth book in Camille Peter’s first series the Kingdom Chronicles. I was hooked from the beginning and it just keeps getting better and better. It was so cute and I loved the characters.
In this book, you finally figure out what will happen to Rheanna, Liam’s sister. She was betrothed to Deidric but he broke off their engagement and every since then, Rheanna has doubted herself and her ability to be a princess. But in this book, she finds an enchanted mirror. This mirror is enchanted because a man is cursed to be stuck in there, and she vows to help get out of the mirror. But she finds herself falling for him. Will he love her even though she is broken and can she learn to believe in herself?
Rheanna was such an interesting character, but I thought that she was so relatable. She deals with doubts and insecurities. At the beginning of the book, she feels as if she would never be enough, enough to help rule a kingdom, or even enough for someone to love. But I love how she grows and learns that being broken doesn’t mean she can’t be mended. And how she learns that she is perfect just the way she is and the ones that truly matter see her abilities and how amazing she is.
Drake was such a complex character, I didn’t really know what to think of him, but he grew on me. I loved how he was sarcastic, but how he really cared about Rhea and loved her even amidst all her faults. He put up a front to protect himself, but in the end Rhea managed to tear down those walls.
They were such a cute couple and I love how they supported each other and wanted the best for each other. I also loved seeing Liam and Awning again. Briar was so sweet, I feel in love with him. All in all, this was a great book. I would give this book 5 stars and definitely recommend it.
I received a free copy from the editor, this review is my own. I was not obligated to write a good review.
I was so excited for this book!! It was nothing like I expected, but I loved every minute of it. It was so fun and captivating of a story line, I saw bits and pieces of lots of story books intricately woven into something different, something unique. I really couldn’t guess the ending, it really could have turned out multiple ways, but I did have hope…
Spectacular book! One of my favorites for this year!
Thank you to Ms. Peters for the ARC in exchange for a fair review. The thoughts and ideas are my own.
This was such a great book! It charged right up my favorites list and snagged the second spot, just a hair under Pathways. The story has some elements from Snow White, but Camille has made it all her own. She has such a way with words that you’re sucked right into the story. I didn’t want to put it down. I really liked watching Rhea grow as a person, to realize she’s valued just as she is. Drake and Rhea’s interactions were so fun and their swoony kisses made my knees melt! I love all the little breadcrumbs Camille put in to keep us guessing about the character’s identities. This is a stand alone novel, so you don’t have to read the other books in the series, but the real question is, why haven’t you? You won’t regret it! Having read all her other books definitely added to the enjoyment of seeing previous characters again and knowing a bit more about their personalities. This book is 100% clean: no swearing and no sex.
