I wanted to become a Fitzgerald while reading this book. They are a close knit Irish family and when you mess with one, you mess with them all. Francesca (Frankie) Jones is family. Her mother was famous and she is following in her footsteps. When tragedy strikes, she heads home to Ireland and family. There is no judgement just love and understanding. Also, they are a mischievous group. They will have you laughing and smiling. Devlin Fitzgerald has been in love with Frankie for a long time but never thought to have a chance. Was fate giving him a second chance to make a first impression. They were like two peas in a pod. Devlin is hot tempered and in your face while Frankie likes control. Perfect blend. Tragedy did not stay in the USA, it came to Ireland. It is up to Flynn, a detective and Devlin’s brother, to figure it out and save the day. Loved the ending.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is the first book I’ve read by Pamela G. Hobbs and I wasn’t disappointed. If you’re looking for a page turner that will keep you flipping the pages to see what’s going to happen next, then grab your copy and get ready to fall in love with the Fitzgerald family. Frankie was dumped on the Fitzgerald’s doorstep twenty years ago, so her mom could do her own thing. Most of the Fitzgerald siblings think of Frankie as a sister, but Devlin definitely doesn’t. After Frankie’s fiancé is murdered, she returns to Ireland hoping to get away from her stalker. When she goes to stay at the Fitzgerald’s lodge, she finds that Devlin is staying there already. While they are there, Devlin lets his feelings become know. Does Frankie feel the same way or does she think of him as a brother? Does her stalker find her in Ireland? No spoilers, so grab your copy and see what happens. I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author.
The book has a good story line. Frankie is an actress who is being stalked and after losing her fiancée goes home to Ireland to the family who fostered her after her mother died. Devlin is one of the children of the couple who fostered Frankie but has never viewed her as a sister. Frankie needs alone time and goes to the lodge the family owns only to find Devlin there as well where their relationship takes a turn from brother/sister. Like I said good story line but the POV is all over the place and really hard to keep track of at any given which makes the book hard to read. I’m not used to all the characters, even the side characters to get a POV and it does appear that the POV changes at weird moments right in the middle of a paragraph with no transition.
I received this book for free in exchange for my review.
Absolutely loved it!
This book sucked me in right from the start and I stayed awake until early morning hours just to finish it in one sitting!
The book is wonderfully written with great flow to it and I managed to completely get lost in it.
I loved the Fitzgeralds family dynamics! Both main characters were also well developed and I started rooting for them right away. Dev was just a perfect book-boyfriend and you could feel how much he loves and cares for Frankie.
There is also a stalker mystery part of the storyline which was somehow predictable, but it didn’t take away from my absolute enjoyment of this story.
This book easily became one of my favorite reads in this year and I can’t wait to read the next book in the Fitzgerald Family Series.
I received a free advanced copy of this book from BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
