Beckett Hockey is my life. My focus. My priority. I left Sweden for it five years ago. I’ve finally been given a shot to prove myself, and I refuse to let anything jeopardize that.No distractions ~ especially not Julia, the stunning woman I can’t seem to get out of my mind. Only problem is, she’s my coach’s daughter. JuliaI grew up around hockey. Lived and breathed it, thanks to my dad’s job.I … daughter.
Julia
I grew up around hockey.
Lived and breathed it, thanks to my dad’s job.
I never thought I’d fall for a player.
Especially one my dad coaches.
But there’s just something about Beckett that draws me in.
Can I convince him he can be the hotshot goalie and find love, without having to choose just one?
The hardest shot to defend is the one you never take. I just hope he realizes he can have it all.

The Hardest Shot is book 7 in the Indianapolis Eagles series by Samantha Lind.
Beckett and Julia’s story was sweet and no angst. Love it!!
Beckett left Sweden and the only thing on his mind us Hockey and NHL. But then he met Julia, the Coach’s daughter.
Love Julia and love that she took the lead in the relationship. She knew what she wanted and she wanted Beckett.
They had amazing chemistry but Beckett wants to keep her in the Friend Zone.
It’s up to Julia to convince Beckett and she’s feisty and determined.
It was great to get glimpses if the other couples in this series.
This book is light, funny, sweet and sexy
If you love sport romance then this book is for you.
My Rating: 5 STARS
This is the 7th book in this awesome series and is Beckett and Julia’s story. Beckett has his priorities and the NHL is the top of his list, but the sizzling chemistry between him and Julia, who is the coaches’ daughter, may just change his mind. This is a beautifully written story which has tad angst, and is sweet, humorous, and a romantic read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all sports lovers out there.
The Hardest Shot is book seven in the Indianapolis Eagles series and while each can be read as a standalone you would be missing out on learning about all the amazing characters the WAGS and Eagles make. As you will learn that Hockey are these men’s life, but all it takes is the special one to make their chance at scoring or in this case preventing the goal (the Hardest Shot) the hardest outside of the game. Loving a hockey player ain’t easy with the amount of time away from the family, but these characters show you that while it is hard (just like all other things in life), that the hard work pays off in your career and personal life.
Julia knows first hand this life of a hockey player as this was her dad’s profession so you could say she has the patience of a saint when it comes to Beckett. Beckett’s one goal when he left Sweden was to play in the NHL and now is his chance. He never expected that Julia would be the girl to make this a hard shot at staying away from the coach’s daughter and keeping focus on the goal of staying on the team as a goalie. She’s okay with the “friend zone”, but she won’t make it easy on him knowing that the connection they share is real and not just a puck bunny night. I loved that she took the lead on this relationship and oh those times when Beckett spoke “Swedish” to her have your melting and beating all at once.
I loved their interactions and the slow pace they took, while others were betting on more while they were being stubborn. Love seeing how this big family is growing and who is next in the Eagles to get a story. This is one sports romance series I highly recommend and can not wait until 2020 when book eight is released! Truly you will love any book by this author as there is not a book yet that I have read that did not enjoy or connect with.
Samantha Lind never fails to draw me into her stories. The Hardest Shot is another winning goal in her arsenal!
This is like the second generation of Eagles players. This is the story of Julia & Beckett.
Julia is the daughter of the new goalie coach and Beckett is the newest recruit on the Eagles team.
Beckett is an import from Sweden, I can just “hear” his accent and when he speaks Swedish to Julia….wowza! Beckett tries so hard to keep his relationship with Julia platonic, but the chemistry between these two is amazing!
Julia is an independent gal, who loves her family hard, and doesn’t let anything stand in her way of getting what she wants.
I am so loving this series, you can tell that Ms. Lind is a true hockey fan, it shows in her stories!
If you haven’t read Ms. Lind, what are you waiting for! If you love hockey romance you can’t go wrong with The Hardest Shot and all the stories in her Indianapolis Eagles series!
Samantha does it again, this one by far is my favorite in this series! 5 hockey pucks for this one!
Meet Julia, daughter of former Indianapolis Eagles goalie, and now goalie coach for the team! She’s a physical therapist, not for the team, and she meets Beckett when her dad asks her to come in and check out his leg. She thinks hes hot and wants a shot at him, but can she convince him to want more for them?
Beckett’s dream has been to play for this team, and he won’t do anything to mess that up, including dating his coaches daughter, but that Julia is so hot, can they be just friends or will she convince him that if they are together it will be ok?
Follow along as these two try to be just friends, you will love Beckett, as well as Julia! grab this one asap!
Beckett and Julia start out as friends and progress to lovers and a HEA. I think Beckett is my new favorite in this series. He is hot when he is speaking in Swedish. Beckett and Julia are cute together. I enjoyed how they interacted and the rapport they had. Hardest Shot was a quick, hot read. I read this book from front to back in one sitting because i enjoyed this story. Hardest Shot was another good addition to this series.
Samantha Lind has once again written a beautiful love story that involves a hockey player and the coach’s daughter. I was pulled into this story from page one and held there through the Epilogue.
I loved the way Julia chased him until he caught her, so to speak. Beckett was a hard nut to crack but Julia finally got him to cave and it was all downhill from there on.
Beckett was so afraid Matt would not approve of him dating Julia that he gave it his best shot at keeping their relationship on the friend level but Julia was having no part of that.
This book was well written and I enjoyed every page of it. We have the action of hockey and the interaction of the players/coaches and other family members. This team is one big happy family.
Wow what a nice treat to see such a strong female character like Julia not be a afraid to take the lead. This girl is extremely confident, not egotistic or manipulative but self assured. It’s refreshing. On the other side of this is Beckett. He’s focused and has his priorities. What I really liked was that he’s willing to be friends with a girl. I have to admit I had a “When Harry Met Sally” moment in my head. So many times we hear that girls and guys can’t be friends. Well in this case Beckett proved them wrong. He was interested. but didn’t want the relationship at this time, so he was willing to be friends.
The chemistry between these two was undeniable, even though they did deny it for so long. Once things got going…well all I can say is WOAH!. The author didn’t skimp on the heat. It wasn’t over the top but it was intense. With all that being said it was sweet and happy. I smiled so much. I also got an education. I learned some Swedish words and phrases. It sounds so sexy. Believe me Becket wasn’t afraid to use them either. I would have love to read more of their story. I read it in one sitting. The time flew. I would definitely recommend this book! This story was skön ( beautiful )! 4.5 stars
They say that opposites attract but when it comes to Julia and Beckett, their love for hockey and having so much in common, is a winning combination for a happily ever after.
Julia has spent her entire life surrounded by hockey, as the daughter of a former player who is now a coach. She understands the long practices, traveling to away games and the possibility of moving on to a new team. She is very close to her family and was thrilled to have found a job near them upon graduation. She loves her job as a physical therapist and enjoys working with her patients.
Beckett has played hockey since he was a young boy and his dream was to someday play in the NHL, which came true when he was called up to play with the Indianapolis Eagles. This was what he worked for his entire career, and he was ready to give his all to the team. He misses his family in Sweden, but he can feel their love and support when he talks to them. He is proud of what he has accomplished so far, and would never do anything to jeopardize his future or his place on the ice.
It was lust at first sight when Julia and Beckett met, but he felt that anything more than friendship was a bad idea. Dating the coach’s daughter was an impossibility, and a sure way of losing his spot on the team. Julia felt differently, and with her feisty attitude and persistence she was determined to breakdown the net that Beckett had put up, and convince him that they were a perfect match.
