A man is innocent until proven guilty. Why isn’t that true for witches and their familiars too?Arc kept his end of our bargain and helped me with my family’s problem. Now it was time to return the favor. He’s been on the run ever since waking up next to his dead on again/off again girlfriend. He swears he didn’t kill her. I believe him.He also says she wasn’t in his bed when he went to sleep. … wasn’t in his bed when he went to sleep. That’s a harder pill to swallow. Arc is a very powerful witch in his own right. And from what I’ve seen, when he sets a ward, it sticks.
So how did the killer not only get through his wards, but plant poor Sonya’s body right next to him without him knowing it?
If that’s the way it really went down, then some top-level witches must be involved. Possibly even council witches. The very thought scares the crap out of me. Council witches are scary. I should know. My aunt Opal is one of them
And, yes, she scares me too. On pretty much a daily basis.
Unfortunately, that isn’t where the bad news ended. Arc and I had another shock in store for us when we reached out to his family for help.
This one would change our lives forever.
Relatively Familiar is Book Two in the Accidental Familiar Series. It is highly recommended to read this series in order as there are major spoilers in the later books.
This is a full-length, Paranormal Cozy Mystery featuring the Gemstone Coven witches… and their familiars.

Second in this cozy paranormal series and just as fun to read as the first one. Looking forward to even more character development with the next in the series.

Title:
Mini CozyMystery/Witch series prequel and following four books:
Book 0: Nothing like having a strike against you when hunting for work. Especially when for you the major reason is your last name. So hunting for yet another job after losing the last one , you chuck everything to the curb and do something that s radically different.
At least, with just a quick one time stretch of being a bounty hunter, she both finds her quarry and comes up with a job prospect that can keep her busy for years to come.
Even though this was a short prequel to the series. This series has u202athe promiseu202c of being both a refreshing, humorous, fun loving and light hearted witchy reading.
Now! Now we get into the story 🙂 Each of the books is a cozy mystery. I wish I could say to read each of the reviews, except that when I got done with Book 1, I immediately started Book 2, which led straight to Book 3. I know I should ve done at least Books 1 through 3. However Book 4 was being released in just two days, and, well, mentally I didn t want to leave this universe. It s s peaceful here, and I haven t had a vacation in quite some time. Sooo , I stuck around for a while.
Book 1 starts with Amie capturing someone who should ve been more careful -I guess as time passes some forget the basic guides of life- especially those oldies but goodies: “All men are created equal.” Sam Colt just just clarified the lines of that equality. And “It s not the size I the dog in a fight, but rather the size of the fight in the dog!” Amie might not have been getting a monetary value for the opening scene, but she received something that she needed far more. And proved that she can look beyond the appearance of an item, much to the dismay of her hometown. By the end of Book 1 and starting Book 2, the ending of one flowed into the start of Book 2, and the mental movie flowed right on!
Book 2 starts with the official introduction of a Cat. This is a very special Cat, likely because he ll likely be part of the team to grant Opal s request for grandkids. By the end of Book 2, we can see why that can be a very good deal. Opal needs some rug-rats underfoot (IMO), they should balance the two older sisters out.
The start of Book 3 let s us know just how special Amie truly is. We also learn more about the Deities < not that this should be a surprise to anyone > while demonstrating the capabilities of the Gods to have a sense of humor, as well as a warped style of justice.
Now that the characters are gelling into a cohesive unit, this is now starting to make me antsy for the next book(s). Number 4 was both a good interim, as well as too short to be an interim book. I m guessing that the author will be taking All Hallow s Eve off as it should be, in order to celebrate it correctly.
Like I stated earlier, I stuck around for Book 4, for the chance of prolonging my visitation to this well put together universe. I m glad that I did, this book is a beautiful introduction to the All Hallow s Eve celebration. Even though Book 4 is a short novella and it doesn t include the recipe for that oh so wonderful be-witching brew/potion, there s always a chance that this will be done later on in this series.
