Treat Yourself to this Must Read Holiday Romance!
What a wonderful, cozy read for the upcoming season! Couldn’t ask for a better pairing of authors. Grace Burrowes and Christi Caldwell have brought their unique and brilliant writing talents once again to this collaboration. Both stories captured me from the beginning, drawing me into their beautiful wintry worlds with amazing and likable characters and just plain “feel good” stories. Leaves me immediately wanting to go back and savor it all again. Tears, smiles, laughter, and a lovely happy ever after… doubled! These ladies always bring so much to their readers.
My review is for The Viscount’s Christmas Wish
A wonderful story packed full of holiday cheer and romance! An enchanting story of a Lord lost and alone who finds what it means to truly live from an unlikely Angel.
I had a big smile on my face the whole time I was reading Lucas and Merry’s story. They were individuals who wanted so much more out of life then what they were being offered and together they found everything they had been searching for.
Lucas had always done what was proper and obedient. He has never lived for his own joy and wants and it has cost him all that he hoped for. He realizes his life is without joy and believes all is hopeless until Merry, a childhood friend, walks in a upends his word.
I loved seeing Merry open Lucas’s eyes to the world around him and helps awaken his soul and he begins to discover who he is and what he truly wants. Lucas lets Merry believe she is more than the help and that she deserves more than the life she has.
As each awakens to new possibilities, a friendship blooms and the seeds of love have been planted. But can these two individuals who have had their lives dictated to them break out of the mode and grasp for the life and love they want and deserve. (less
Grace is my favorite! Can’t believe how many twists she can put in a romance – always good
Cute stories. Left a d
smile on my face.
Wish they had been longer.
I truly enjoyed both stories. Let me begin by saying I don’t do a synopsis. That being said I will tell you buy this book. Both stories are so romantic and I love the characters and plots. These tales make you wish for the best for all those around you including yourself. I confess I haven’t read much by Burrowes but Caldwell is a different story all together. I don’t miss any of her books. She wrings so much emotion out of her characters and from me too. I thank her for taking me away from real life for a bit. Can’t wait to read her next book and will add Burrowes as a regular too.

Lord Luke let Josephine go, and is filled with regret…until he’s reunited with his steward’s daughter, Miss Merry Read. She’s smart, spunky, and sassy and she help him reveal the true Luke.
My review :
When two people whom have known each other for years, show together their true colors.
Mrs Christi Caldwell did it again, she made me root immediately for her characters.
As I kind of suffer from the dory syndrom, plus a light dyslexia, I am always unable to remember characters names. So until I read the beginning of the book, I was unable to understand I have in my hands the story of the rejected betrothed after having jilted said betrothed from THE MINX WHO MET HER MATCH.
But I do remember at a time, I felt sorry for him, by following the rules and his family’s dictates, he lost more than he won.
For a short story, so many emotions were unraveled, my heart ached and swooned while they learn to know one another.
Luke is not the aloof, dull boy then man Merry has known all her life, he is just the bland version his family wanted him to be. He was raised this way.
Like Merry whose upbringing prepared herself to become a servant.
But even if she had more freedom than himself, she has little other choices than follow the road mapped for her.
But during the short time they are together, they share their wishes for another way of life than a master-servant relationship when it has moved to a friendship with a want for more lurking at the corner of their dreams.
In so few pages, Mrs Caldwell has depicted a riveting tale of longing for more than what a birth place has right to offer.
