It was all I could ask for. The wait is finally over !!!
Everleigh is and always would be the most strong and wonderful character!!!
This book has everything you would expect of this serie. Is dark, gritty, cruel, gory, sordid, horrible in the must intriguing way.
It was part were I couldn’t contain the tears and others were I wanted to be the one to take the revenge….
In this book we see Bram in a different light.
I loved to see all the characters of the short books. The twins are one of my favorites, the red dragon intrigues me and this new side of him is very intense, I can’t wait to read more.
Scout 19 has a very interesting future that I hope we know more about. The same way with Charlie and Jane.
I love Luke so much, his devotion to Everleigh.
The final was very satisfactory but I was left wanting so much more. I hope that this finale leads to more connected books.
Awesome ending to a great series! It was heartbreaking, disturbing and dark . Everleigh and Bram’s love story was tragic ,sad, and finally justice
Black Out by A. A. Dark is 24690 book #3. First off before reading this, you really need to read the other books in the series and if you have any triggers at all, this one is pretty brutal. It had been a while since reading the last books so honestly I was both wary to dig back in but also looking forward to a resolution for Everleigh and Bram.
Let’s just say that A. A. Dark did not disappoint in Black Out. The characters and the settings come alive and the sheer force of it all is both brilliant and disquieting. Humanity in a raw and brutal sense, tested to it’s limits for both survival and power.
If you are an A. A. Dark and 24690 fan this is not one to miss.
So I read all the books over the weekend, and then I needed a day to process everything before I could write the reviews. This series took me so many places, mostly dark places. This book, the stuff that happens in this book…I just can’t. It was a fitting end to the series. Again, I don’t want to go into the storyline because it is best to go in blind. However, if you made it this far, you are in for the long haul. YOU CANNOT read this book without reading 24690, Whiteout, Welcome to Whitlock (3 book series) and then this book. This series exhausted me, it took me to hell, it took me to the white room and then it took me to darkness….however, I made it through. Psyche is a little worse wear and needs to heal after the places its been. This series took me darker than I have ever been before, and elicited so many emotions that I almost feel evil for wishing some of the things I wished for but I made it out of Whitlock. I survived and I hope that all of you will too!
10 phenomenal stars
Wow, just wow, this is the final instalment in the 24690 series and I’m sad that Bram and Everleigh’s story has come to an end but boy what a story it is. I devoured and loved/hated every sordid, gory word that A. A. Dark delivered to us. In saying that this instalment in the life of Bram and Everleigh is going to test the darkest of dark book lovers.
Trust me when I say you are not ready for the darkest and depraved acts that happen and nothing that they have endured in the past comes even close to the new happenings within the walls of Whitlock. The true test of survival are what both Bram and Everleigh have had to face.
Friendships are tested, love is stretched and actions definitely speaks louder than words. Blood is shed and not even the darkness of the blackout brings peace.
Everleigh’s devotion and sacrifices blew me away, she is a powerhouse to be reckoned with. Bram proved again just why he is the Main Master.
A. A. Dark did not hold back and just let the story unfold and take on a life of its own. She has truly outdone herself with Blackout.
Pain? Pleasure? Sorrow? Joy?
How do I come close to describing the sensations that simultaneously make me want to shout in joy, and hide in fear after reading Black Out?
After following the 24690 saga for years, I was hesitant to start Black Out. I knew going in, it was going to be a difficult read no matter how it turned out, but I should have known AA would kill it, and she did… along with my heart.
5 stars is nowhere near enough to rate the epic conclusion to one of the most original stories out there.
Well done AA Dark. You have broken me.
My favorite type of fairytales are not the ones that you will find in the rainbows and butterfly category. I like my stories with badass monsters and just as bad women. The men are depraved and do demoralizing deeds, and the women are strong enough that they can tangle with the likes of these monsters. A.A. Dark knows exactly how to deliver up an immoral and nefarious tale.
is powerful and bittersweet for all us Whitlock worshippers. We go back to where it all started, the impervious fortress of Whitlock. An abominable place where you will be subjected to the most inhumane acts of depravity, the filthiest of the sickest sexual acts, and where your mental stability will be tested. This story is proof that revenge is a dish best served with crazy and a side of knife.
In this conclusion to the best dark tale I have had the pleasure of reading, we are heading into one massive battle royale!! The corruption has rioted within the walls of Whitlock and have taken control under the pretense of Martial Law. Main Master Bram Whitlock is in a perilous situation, one in which only his Mistress can save him. In order to do so she must dig deep into her past, a woman that was destined for more, as well as her time spent as 24690, a slave that survived an underground world of nightmares.
The destruction of Whitlock is upon us. It is inevitable.
There is only one way to cease the exploitation and wickedness of Whitlock from continuing it’s contamination within the world and that is …….. !!
This whole series is an awesome display of humanity at its ugliest and has fed my depraved soul to the brim. I truly will miss these characters and who can forget the White Rooms and the Red Lights!! As I predicted, this final book of the series has detonated my mind and left me blowing like ashes in the wind!
A word to the wise, before you read the first word of this DARK series, consider the following: are you ready to have your psyche ripped to shreds all while being exposed to the uttermost inhumane acts ever to be penned? If so, proceed with caution and step through the gates of Whitlock.
4.5* Powerful Stars!
Oh. My. Gosh. Y’all, the poo hits the fan BIG time in this conclusion to 24690’s story. I had a lump in my throat for most of the book, cried like a colicky baby twice, and my mouth dried out from it hanging open in disbelief twice. Those occasions I had to pause, take a break and rally emotionally before diving back in. Black Out is a book that demands to be devoured in one go. It’s super hard to put down because you end up needing to know what the heck happens next.
I like the way it’s written from multiple points of view. It’s an emotionally driven, dark, angsty read. Great conclusion to a fantastic and DARK series.
The dark and depraved souls of Whitlock are back! There are no words to adequately describe how amazingly jaw-dropping this book is! There are no questions left unanswered and seeing Bram and Everleigh’s story wrapped up was something I wasn’t completely prepared for! If you haven’t started this series, do yourself a favor and do it now! A.A. Dark is an amazing writer and this series will drag you in so deep you won’t want to come back out!
What an ending to what has been a disturbing, thrilling and dramatic series. The dark and twisted souls of Whitlock are in for the ride of their lives during this action-packed finale. Horrors and truths unravel and loose ties are wrapped up in this satisfying conclusion.
