Two families mourning. Two mysterious murders. One innocent florist whose floral arrangements are the common denominator at the scene of the crimes. When Tracy’s floral store is commissioned to supply the arrangements for two funerals, she’s humbled to be entrusted with the responsibility. She reluctantly puts up with the rude behavior of an old lady who manages the affairs of one of the deceased, … of one of the deceased, a well-known philanthropist in Fern Grove..
When this old lady dies at the funeral, no one suspects foul play. After all, she was old and frail. However, the subsequent murder of another close member of the family, sets alarm bells ringing.
Could both deaths be linked?
Tracy is left bewildered and enraged when handsome detective Copeland suggests that her daisy arrangement was the one piece of evidence found at both murder locations. The stakes are further raised when the fortune of the deceased is revealed. It seems almost everyone associated with the dead aristocrat is a person of interest.
Is there a killer at large disposing of anyone associated with the deceased? Can peace be restored to one of the oldest families in Fern Grove? Will Tracy ask the right questions to expose the murderer or become the killer’s next victim?
If you want to enjoy a light-hearted read, with an amateur female sleuth and a gripping murder mystery with a touch of romance, then you’ll love Tracy Adams and all the friendly and not-so-friendly characters in Fern Grove.
No cliffhanger, swearing or graphic scenes!

This story is slightly insane. The characters are delightful, but the insanity of mixing two funerals flowers than finding another dead body at the funeral is just two much insanity. Although our flower shop girls seem to take it all in stride. This story is funny and brighten my day.
Quick, fun read. Characters are realistic, and the story is well written. I world recommend this book, and I look forward to reading more in this series.
One Daisy and Two Crazy Funerals (Fern Grove #2)), my third read from author Abby Reede. Well-written & enjoyable. a cute, clean cozy mystery with well-developed characters and detailed settings. I look forward to reading White Lily and a Fatal Chili (Fern Grove #3). I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Narrator Jeannette Smith’s narration adds to the book’s enjoyment. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
I listened to this on Audible. I was very pleased, clear and concise. Plus the speaker/reader changed voices when it came to men or women. That surprised me
I did not have that on other Audible books. First I was startled, then I realized I liked it. I was knitting and it kept me more focused on the story rather than zoning In on knitting or anything that may pull your attention away.
In the village of Fern Grove we find a Floral Shop called ‘In Season ‘ both places where Rose Bishop resides. Tracy Adams has returned here to her Aunt Rose

She had very specific things ordered for Waldorf. She was calmer and pleased.
The door hardly closed when Stella Rockwell come storming in. Loud, rude
Nasty beyond unpleasant. She will order the flowers for her party employer
‘The Augustine Waldorf ‘of the richest family in town. Now Stella was the children’s nanny, but they have All been grown up for a long time. Stella spared no expense$$
On the day of the funerals ‘In Season ‘ packed 2 different Vans with the flowers.

So all over great enjoyment 🙂
I have a delightful little Gem for you this evening. It has bits of white and then deep purples and blues. The colors of a funerary ceremony. There is a game afoot here!
Our Gem this evening is a debut cozy mystery by Abby Reede. The first in a series called “The Fern Grove Cozy Mysteries”. Abby’s heroine, Tracy Adam, lost a very well paying job in the city. She has moved back home to Fern Grove, a cozy little rumor mill. There she helps her Aunt Rose and her assistant, Tiffany breathe new life into her Aunt’s flower shop called ‘In Season’. Tracy hits upon the idea to feature a flower each month to draw in customers who will be curious to know which flower and how they will use it, bringing in new business.
The first flower they decide upon is the Daisy. They have no more chosen this beautiful flower than in drops a customer who’s pet Dachshund, Waldorf, has passed on. She has had him a very long time and loves him very much and so has planned a full funeral for him. She orders the flower arrangements, including the daisies. The next customer, a very nasty and presumptuous woman, named Stella Rockwell, comes in to order flower arrangements for her former employer’s funeral, THE Augustine Waldorf, Patriarch of the richest family in town. Stella was the family nanny when his daughters were children.
Of course, the funeral flowers get mixed up and this causes Stella to become practically apoplectic and she drops dead at the funeral of her boss. Now the fun, I mean game begins, because Stella is not the last to die, oh no. Who is killing off the members of the household of Waldorf? And what does this have to do with Tracy and Aunt Rose? Because the one thing the deaths have in common are the daisies from ‘In Season’.
I liked this Cozy Mystery. It was tight, well written and the characters who were meant to be likable were. And the villainous characters? Oh, I’d have poisoned their tea me-self! I love mysteries like that. I would have given it five flames had the ending not come upon me quite so abruptly, but I still enjoyed it immensely. If you like cozies, you’ll like this one. The next one is already out (quick work Abby, my dear). It’s titled “Carnations and Deadly Fixations”. If you have Kindle Unlimited, you can actually read One Daisy right now for free!
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review
Tracy and her aunt are providing flowers for not one but two funerals with the same last name. At one of the funerals, a snooty elderly lady passes away. At first, no one was too surprised, but when the police get involved that changes everything. Was she killed? There are many suspects in this story. Great characters and a fun read.
Great second in series!
Tracy, Aunt Rose, and Tiffany are back again. Two funerals on the same day with the same name. Can things get any more confusing? Add a murder or two into the mix and they’re all suspects! Kept me interested and guessing until the very end.
I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
One Daisy and Two Crazy Funerals is the second book in the Fern Grove Cozy Mystery series. I loved this cozy mystery and its charming characters. This short story engaged my attention and kept it throughout. The storyline is well written, with fun, flowers, and soon-to-be felons once Tracy puts her mind to solving the crime.
This is the first book I have read from this author and I am looking forward to more.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Enjoy your time spent in Fern Grove, while you are alive that is. While you are there stop into the flower shop and talk to Tracy, Aunt Rose and Tiffany and buy some flowers. However, with all the funerals happening in Fern Grove there may not be too many flowers left. Also, Tracy and crew may be out of the shop solving another murder mystery. This is a fun and entertaining series. The characters are like old friends and the mysteries will keep you reading.
Wonderful story. Rose, Tracy and Tiffany have to prepare floral arrangements for two different memorial services that have the same name. Of course, the arrangements get mixed up and the girls are thrown into a homicide investigation when they try to straighten it out.
Two Waldorf funerals on the same day! Tracy and her team at the flower shop provide the flowers and begin another adventure in Fern Grove. Abby Reade’s cozy series continues with interesting characters and lots of flowers – this month daisies are the featured flower. As Tracy, Aunt Rose and Tiffany work with their clients, they again become involved with mysterious murders. You will enjoy Fern Grove, its residents and its surprises.
This is book #2 in the Fern Grove cozy mystery series and is a great addition to the series! Tracy and her Aunt Rose own a flower shop. They get 2 big orders both for funerals which creates some stress. When one of the people who requests the flowers ends up dead, Tracy, Rose, and their assistant Tiffany, work together to clear the flower shop from suspicion. It is a quick, enjoyable cozy mystery!
Tracey has learned you have to put up with a lot of kooks when working in a flower shop she runs along with her aunt. Then the kooks seem to drop dead while at separate funerals. Was it a coincidence or were they murdered? I loved reading this book and trying to figure out the answers. I enjoyed the closeness between the three women at the shop. They make for a unique family. This series seems to get better with each book!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Such a fun book! The characters are engaging and I love the easy banter. Multiple murders really made things interesting. Looking forward to reading more of this series.
