Welcome to the Kappa Sweets Sorority Series! Smarty pants Cora Meadows and soccer goalie Milo Clark hit it off the first time they met. Major sparks flew with a first kiss, but reality had them crash and burn their freshman year. Fast forward the start of their senior year at University of the Desert. He’s in trouble, and she is his only hope. When he asks for help, she finds herself striking up … herself striking up the deal of a lifetime. An exchange. She will help him pass Greek Mythology as long as he will pretend to be her boyfriend, so her match-making sorority sisters will leave her alone. Shouldn’t be a problem, right?
Wrong!
All too quickly they start to realize the fireworks from their first kiss years ago were far from a fluke. The high-voltage chemistry they share now is undeniable. Can Miss Smarty Pants and the Jock have a future? Or is it a matter of time before they fizzle out?

Cora and Milo were a really cute couple to start off this series. They started off as something fake and turned into something real. This was a quick read that definitely held my attention till the end. Mayra Statam was a new to me author, and I will say I will be checking out more of her work. Starting with the next book in the Kappa Sweets series.
A cute short sweet story about a smart sorority girl and a sorority jock. Cora and Milo kissed at a party freshman year and soon afterwards a misunderstanding has them going their separate ways. Senior year and Milo is at Cora’s door looking for her help in tutoring. Cora in need of a fake boyfriend decides if he helps her, she will help him but right off their feelings aren’t fake and now Milo has a chance to right a wrong. Love it and can’t wait to read more from this series.
I won an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
4 Smarty Filled Stars!!!
Woohoo!! I’ve been waiting awhile for Mayra Statham to release her next book. Here’s the first book in her newest series Kappa Sweets and it’s such a cute read.
Cora’s kept her head down and her nose in the books since starting college and joining her sorority. ESP after going to her first freshmen party where she met Milo.
They had a great time. Milo was Cora’s first kiss and Cora was looking forward to getting to know Milo more. That was until she found out he kissed her as initiation into his fraternity. Four years later she still hates him.
When Milo shows up on her doorstep asking Cora to tutor him on the DL so his soccer coach won’t find out, first instinct Cora has is to slam the door in his face. Then Cora realizes she could help him in return for a favor. Her sorority sisters demanding all the single seniors get dates to the Halloween party. If Milo pretends to be Cora’s boyfriend then she’ll tutor him. Cora didn’t realize what she was getting into though.
Milo messed up his chances with Cora in his freshmen year and he’s hated himself since. It’s his senior year and he’s afraid he’s going to fail his class and loose his spot on the soccer team. In order to save his spot Milo goes to the one person who can help and it’s the person who hates him most, Cora.
Milo was trying hard to convince Cora to help him. When a guy walks up to them Cora goes stiff and then gives him a look of “help me”. Milo immediately pretends to his Cora’s boyfriend and it was then he realized she belonged next to him and he’ll do anything to make her his. When Cora asked Milo to be her fake boyfriend, Milo jumped at it and also started trying to figure out how to make their relationship fake to real.
This was such a nice, cute read. I’m in love with Milo. Cora didn’t give him a chance their freshmen year to explain and they missed out on so much time. But, he def made up for it here.
This is a great start to a new series. I’m really looking forward to Catalina’s story bc my heart broke for her.
His Smarty Pants by Mayra Statham is a five sweet stars! Cora and Milo’s story will make your teeth hurt. It’s that SWEET! I couldn’t put it down.
Milo and Cora both need something from each other. And they both still haven’t forgotten the kiss that they had their freshman year. So when these two reunite the sparks fly and their connection is still as strong.
I didn’t want this book to end. It’s that good!!
Highly recommended.
A sweet second chance college romance. Milo and Cora need each others help. Cora needs help getting our of her comfort zone and dating. Milo needs help to stay on the soccer team. Can what happened freshman year be put to rest or will it stand in their way?
This was another great read by this author. Look forward to the next one!
A very sweet second chance love story. A quick read but very enjoyable and has everything you want to read about. The characters were brilliantly written and the chemistry was amazing. The storyline covered everything you want to see. I read this in one sitting and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I loved it.
Cora met Milo at the first party as freshmen but she wrote him off as a dumb jock when a frat bro congratulated him as he kissed her telling him he’d met his quota for initiation into the fraternity! Now it’s the start of their senior year and Milo is worrying about passing Greek Mythology. He has come to Cora’s sorority house to get her help on the QT so his coach won’t know. His timing works well, a douchebag arriving on the porch has Cora changing from a woman with high walls to all lovey-dovey. Seems like the douchebag wants a date! Milo goes along and lucks out with a great deal to play her boyfriend in exchange for tutoring. This is a sweet second chance romance: good characters, good plot. Can’t wait for the next story! I volunteered this review from an ARC.
His Smarty Pants is a sweet second chance love story between Milo and Cora. They had a shot to be together their freshman year of college but of course something happened to put a stop to it. Now 4 years later and being seniors Milo needs help passing a class and guess who’s the only one who can help him? You guessed it. Just one tiny problem though…she hates him. Well its a good thing for him that she needs a little something in return. What they didn’t expect was the attraction from freshman year to still be there.
This is a story that I really enjoyed. It’s simple, sweet with low drama and an HEA. I’m loving where this series is heading and that little teaser at the end for the next book, wow!! Can we say heartbreaking? I think we’ve all been in Catalina’s shoes at least once in our lives. And I have a good idea of who’s the one causing her pain. Well, His Smarty Pants is a story I definitely recommend so enjoy and Happy Reading
P.S. Is anyone else craving candy?
Oh and I received this ARC for my honest review
Milo and Cora’s story was a very sweet read. I enjoyed the characters and it was a beautiful first love story. These two together were simply adorable. Ive read all of Mayra’s books and this was different from her usual writing. I liked it and I’m looking forward to Cat’s story, hot tamale.
