A feud that spans generations. A love doomed from its very beginning. I fell in love with Alex Sinclair when we were kids. Our love was innocent and it was real. It was also dangerous. We didn’t know our families were like oil and water, that the Wallaces and the Sinclairs hid dark secrets that involved us. We also didn’t understand how deep the poison ran. When I found out the truth—when Alex … the truth—when Alex forced me to leave town—I was devastated. Destroyed. But that was all part of the plan. The Sinclair lust for pain and torture at a Wallace’s expense made it impossible for me to stay…impossible to save Alex.
Mr. Sinclair is dead now, and Alex is the new heir. I’ve been waiting for this. It’s why I’ve come back. I’ve got secrets too, and if Mr. Sinclair’s gone, Alex’s heart and soul are up for grabs. He and I can end this feud. Because Alex? He’s not one of them. Never has been. He’s mine. He loves me.
I only need to remind him of that.
The Feud Series is an adult/coming-of-age, enemies-to-lovers romance and contains mature themes not suitable for readers under 18

Steamy mysterious heart tugging and oh so sexy. Highly recommend!
Jojo and Alex, their story written by two amazing authors started with their past. This is a formidable family rivalry forbidden enemies to lovers romance story. It will have you reading through all emotions and situations, all the secrets and dark elements add up for the story line. Looking forward to reading book 2.
To start, I don’t usually write a review for a duet as one review. I normally split the review into book one and then book two – separate reviews for each distinct book But because I was lucky enough to have read both books, back to back, I’m taking a new approach. For a few reasons. First off, I initially read a few installments when this was on Raddish – I’m so happy these two wonderful ladies decided to take to a traditional book form. And second, well that fact that this is written by two of my most favorite authors. Great writers and even greater ladies. It’s not hard to imagine why they are besties but even after reading their very different writing styles (IMO). So, the cohesiveness of this story is a true accomplishment. I love the dual point of view, the past and present I think this really lent itself toward showing the character development too. The story flow is seamless.
Now, about that. The Feud series is a coming of age tale that is infused with mystery and a darkness that left me uneasy. From the very opening chapters, I was on high alert. Immediately we are introduced to the young adults that teenagers Jojo Wallace and Alex Sinclair became. There are six years that separate the two time periods, and countless lies between them (including the withholding of information). We are slowly exposed to the “why” and well into The Wallace Girl I maintained a deep dislike of Alex and felt myself feeling fiercely protective of JoJo. It becomes obvious they are meant to be, so what’s behind Alex’s bad behavior? I kept wondering “how could he”?? and the secret that Jojo holds made me even more anxious. This is a family feud after all and her determination to set Alex right puts her in grave danger.
Well into the Sinclair heir, where Jojo and Alex begin to rebuild, they create something very new and electrifying. This is where this becomes a SUPER SCHMEXY (blush) romantic suspense. There are a few really scary moments were things go incredibly wrong, but I held my breath and powered through. Also, this is where we really see Jojos resolve. Her faith in Alex is profound and at times seemingly very misguided. But this is where he gets to prove it out. She is a brave young woman, determined that Alex is not the man he claimed to be. But is he redeemable? I had some doubts. We come to know Alex as a great romantic and once his truth is out, he proceeds to give her the world. But don’t rest too easy, there is a stellar twist to the story. One that had me floored and one that shows the depth of the Sinclair hatred towards the Wallace’s. It’s scary that these two wonderfully nice ladies (Eliot Scott) have such devious minds. All in all, this is a well constructed romantic suspense, coming of age story that will take you on an emotional ride. Exactly what I expect to get in a great read. 5 Stars and recommendation

WOW!
What
A
Ride.
War. That is what the Sinclairs & the Wallaces are at. This feud spanning hundreds of years got to Alex & Jojo too. Leaving its marks on their young, innocent love. Forcing Jojo Wallace to leave town. But now she’s back. Back for Alex Sinclair.
The writing was flawless. It never feels like this book was written by two different people. It hooks you right from the start and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride from the past to the present. I don’t want to spoil anything but read this book if you’re looking for forbidden love, betrayal, secrets, lies, true love and perseverance.
Read this book if you’re looking for a little adventure…
Believe me The Wallace Girl delivers. And makes you desperate to get your hands on book two!
The blurb for this series really hooked me. Coupled with my love for all things Ginger Scott I was sure this collaboration between writers would be great for me. Unfortunately, the writing fell really, really flat here. The idea and premise for this story falls under a couple different romance tropes that I love to read. And those are really good but the execution of the story just missed the mark. The characters didn’t grab me, I felt disconnected from them and honestly thought they were a bit corny. There was a lack of depth to the whole thing that I really missed here with the emotions and plot staying at surface level. I really wish this would have been better for me and my issues with the writing are probably a “it’s not you, it’s me” thing but none the less it didn’t wholly work for me and was really just an okay read.
4.5-4.75 STARS
The “love child” of bestselling authors, Anne Eliot and Ginger Scott, “The Wallace Girl” is the first installment in their new Feud Series Duet. Their collaborative effort resulted in nothing short of a riveting saga that’s dark, twisted, and utterly captivating!
From the very first page, right up until the last, this spellbinding tale held me in its grip and continued to hold on tight. But just as things began to really heat up, I was left dangling on a precipice that only part two (The Sinclair Heir) can save me from. Needless to say, I can hardly wait to see where the continuation of Alex and JoJo’s story will ultimately take them.
Full disclosure – I wrote this one with my sweet pal, cool-girl Ginger Scott under the name Eliot Scott. Anne ‘Eliot’ is me. She is ‘Scott’. It’s an old-school family feud saga. Star crossed, suspenseful, romantic forbidden and dangerous love. We hope you’ll give our adult work 18+ a try!
New co-authors Ginger Scott and Anne Eliot offer up a young love story with a Hatfields and McCoy spin with The Wallace Girl. Jojo is from the Wallace family, once the founders and prominent family of the area, they have since fallen to hard times. Alex is from the lauded, rich Sinclair founders family. Alex and Jojo’s story starts when they meet at the lake as children and follow their tale through their teen years.
The Wallace Girl sets the stage of the tragic love story between the children of two feuding families who are caught in the middle with no way out. Told from alternating POVs the book goes back and forth between the past and the present as Jojo and Alex recount their time together, the forces swirling around them and the happenings that bring them to the point they are today. Jojo is a sheltered, idealistic young girl who doesn’t know that the odds were against her from the very start. As a woman, smarter and less naive, she returns to challenge the powers that be. Alex the privileged soon to be trapped boy turned jaded man, knows too much, bears too much guilt to be what Jojo needs.
The story reads quickly with clues to what is actually happening throughout. The characters are highly likable and relatable even as the situation they find themselves in is heartbreaking. The heat level is low as the majority of the story is about their teen years but the intrigue is high. A good suspense/coming of age story that ends on a cliffhanger with The Sinclair Heir coming later in the month.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Alex and Jojo have this love that resonates from the purest part of their souls. Because of his father, Alex has become a man he isn’t proud of, but a man who will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he loves. No matter what. It is absolutely clear that he will never be over his love for Jojo even if he pushes her away. I can’t wait for the next book to get the rest of their love story!
Full disclosure – I wrote this one with my author bestie Anne Eliot. It’s an old-school family feud saga and it rips and tears and we loved every minute of it. Hope you’ll give it a try!
Dynamite Young Adult fiction authors Anne Eliot and Ginger Scott have joined forces to write an old-school-style New Adult family drama. Writing under the nom de plume of Eliot Scott, these two proven authors have struck gold with their Feud series!
Eliot Scott delivers characters to care about. I loved Jojo Wallace and Alex Sinclair as sweet and innocent tweens. Their naïvete was equally adorable and fear inspiring. You want to wallow in their puppy love, but you know that something evil their way comes. That evil takes the form of the alleged Wallace-Sinclair feud.
The story is told in dual POV, and it is told in dual timelines. When Jojo Wallace returns to her hometown of Tacoma, Washington, she is on a mission to draw out Alex in an attempt to bring him back from the “darkside”. As they dance around their romantic angst, Alex and Jojo relive/remember their innocent meeting that led to friendship, romantic love, and a soul-crushing break-up.
Patriarch Michael Sinclair is the ultimate nefarious antagonist. He is vengeful, despicable and heinous. His myopic focus on his feud is like a malignant growth on his brain that creates justification for his monstrous behavior. Even though he has just been laid to rest, this diabolical character creates the most delicious melodrama!
I, for one, am hooked on this story! The Wallace Girl provides great set-up for a truly epic second half. Good thing there is little more than a week until the next, and final, installment of this series.
