From Abigail Davies comes the ultimate forbidden romance duet. She’d been unexpected.A path I hadn’t thought I’d take. But once she was on my radar, there was no turning back.Being deceptive was part of my job as a DEA agent, but I’d learned how to deceive people a long time before that. I’d been deep undercover for nine months.Nine months away from the self-made family I’d been accepted into.… from the self-made family I’d been accepted into.
Nine months of losing myself in a world I’d grown up in.
Nine months of forgetting who I was.
But all it took was one action to springboard me back into the real world.
Belle wasn’t meant to walk into the club of a cartel boss. She wasn’t meant to fall into my arms—literally.
But there she was, the girl I’d known since she took her first breath. The girl who had grown into a woman people couldn’t take their eyes off.
I thought I was doing the right thing.
I thought I was protecting her from the evil surrounding us.
I thought kissing her and getting her out of there was the only option to keep her safe.
It didn’t matter that her lips pressed against mine roared a fire to life within me.
It didn’t matter that there was a twenty-two year age gap.
It didn’t matter that she was my bosses daughter.
All that mattered was that she was safe.
Until she wasn’t.
I vowed to protect her with my life.
I promised she wouldn’t get hurt.
But I hadn’t factored her feelings into it.
Belle was forbidden fruit I hadn’t been able to resist, and now there was no going back.
Bonds weren’t meant to be broken, but ours had been torn apart irrecoverably.
Torn Bond is book one in the Bonded Duet. A two-part, drama driven, story of nail biting angst.

Every duet in this series has been amazing and you wonder if Abigail Davies can keep delivering such gripping storylines, YES!! is the answer.
Torn Bond: Belle & Ford’s story was the one I was waiting for the age gap, the fact he works alongside her father, just a few reasons why they shouldn’t be together, but the heart craves for it’s soul mate and Belle is all grown and Ford see’s her for the women she is. I loved seeing a new side to both of them and the bond and love pours throughout this story.
Of course this is not a hearts & flowers romance, Ford is on a job working undercover, Belle is caught up in the drama and the story that unfolds is emotional, loving, heartfelt and devastating
What the what?!?! Okay, so I’ve read all of the books in this series thus far (hint: start with Lola and Brody’s duet for maximum knowledge of this world and because you should feel the same angst I have), but Ford and Belle BLEW ME AWAY. Belle has loved Ford her entire life, but Ford has been unattainable, for some obvious reasons. When fate intervenes and thrusts them together, the sparks fly. The sparks that Ford is trying desperately to ignore. And then they catch and start a raging fire between Belle and Ford that simply will not be extinguished. But then the unthinkable happens when Ford is forced to return to “normal” life as he knew it pre-Belle. And now, Belle is floundering. What happens next???? I DON’T KNOW, and I have to be patient and wait for the conclusion of the duet to find out! All I know for certain is that I’m hooked and I just have to wait to find out.
