Love this series! This one was exceptionally good. Amazing storyline, with a bit of everything that I Love. It has romance, mystery, magic , ghost, and humor. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes a!I or any of these things
C.C Woods does it again, in this hilarious ghostly tale of a psychic medium and her “pet”
This is book 3 in the Wraith Files series, and you definitely need to read them in order, so chop chop!
While Don’t Wake the Dead, and The Dead Come Calling are primarily comedies, Raise the Dead takes on a more ominous tone and I’m absolutely here for it.
Zoe has always been able to see and communicate with ghosts, and in this book she learns a little more about herself that takes her and the team on a trip to Austin Texas to meet some witches.
I loved that this book kept me on my toes. As much as I wanted this book to be super predictable (hello, I’m way too attached to these characters for anything bad to befall them!) I was pleasantly surprised to have gone down the path that I did.
I think this may be the last book for the Wraith Files, but I’m praying it’s not. I cannot get enough of Zoe, Teri, and the gang!
The third installment in the series and oh my stars!!! I love this series and the author tried murdering me with these plot twists.
I’m already dying for book four to see what happens next to Teri, Zoe, Malachi, Stony, Jonelle and team.
I know this review isn’t super verbose but I still have a book hangover and can’t, fit the life of me, word anything that isn’t on the edge of a spoiler.
Oh how much I missed the Wraith Files gang!!!
I re-read books 1 & 2 in preparation for Raise the Dead. Plus I needed some Zoe and crazy Teri in my life. Because who doesn’t need a pervy ghost like Teri in their life??
You need to read books 1 & 2 before attempting to Raise the Dead. You need to read the backstory of who Zoe is, how she came to be, how she meets Mal and the Boys, and just get introduced to her world.
This picks up right where book 2 ended. And now there’s more information coming out about who and what Zoe is, what she can do and why she can communicate with the dead. You learn more about the world around Zoe and how Zoe interacts with it.
I don’t want to say more and spoil it so just go read the story!!
In the third installment of the Wraith Files the quirky gang is back. CC Wood will leave the reader in stitches laughing. This series is so much fun, has passion, suspense, action, and secrets. After reading this book I’m definitely doing a reread of the first two because I’m not ready to walk away from these characters and their story line. Zoe has come into her own with a modern fun scooby like gang for adults. I adored this book and can’t wait to see what comes next.
Raise the Dead (Wraith Files Series) is the third installment in this captivating series by C.C. Wood. Our heroin, Zoe Thorne has finally found her calling. She helps spirits find peace so they can cross over. With the help of Mal, her friends, and Teri her hilariously resident ghost, Zoe’s life is falling into place. That is until she discovers how strong her powers actually are. Zoe’s newly discovered abilities not only jeopardize her but also those she loves.
C.C. has done a fantastic job with this new installment. I love the chemistry between Mal and Zoe. I am definitely looking forward to seeing their relationship blossom. I also love Teri, the resident ghost. I can’t recall how many times I laughed. But what I am most excited about, is reading how Zoe’s character grows now that she has accepted who she is. She has already come a long way. I can’t wait to read/see how this character grows. I honestly enjoy this series and I highly recommend it.
FAB-U-LOUS!! Five stars for the third installment of The Wraith Files. This modern day “Scooby Gang” gets to experience so much adventure with their paranormal discoveries. And all the while, Zoe discovers more and more about herself and her gifts, with her friends’ support, love and protection. And that Mal…he’s so freaking dreamy. He worships the ground Zoe walks on and his devotion is clear as day in any given moment.
I laughed, giggled, smiled – and even gasped, LOUDLY while I was in one of the freezer aisles at Walmart (yes, I’m a multitasker – and when the book is good I take it EVERYWHERE). Anyhoo, Raise the Dead was FAB from start to finish. Some action, adventure and Mal & Zoe finally get some action (bow-chicka-bow-wow).
I’m so in love with this series! It’s a bit lighthearted with a touch of spooky and filled with characters that have so much LIFE. Even the infamous ghost, Teri, is a key character in these stories. The continuous buildup of Zoe’s life, abilities and what looks to be her fate is something i look forward to. With each novel being a standalone the stories are summed up and ended with a for now HEA that lets you enjoy them without feeling on edge. I love that about a series. Sure I love a cliffhanger as much as the next girl, but sometimes I’m just not in the mood.
C.C. Wood delivers characters I could consider friends. Their adventures in this series are some of my favorite to experience.
This series is the first I’ve read of CC Wood and it’s promising!
I’m not alwaya thrilled with Paranormal Romance, but I read it now and then. I like how this one has a combination of fun and terror. I like that it doesn’t pretend to be a Paranormal and just have all the smut in it. This one’s just had a right amount of everything. The story feels so real that I can feel the horror to my bones. I also like one part that makes me go ‘WTAF?’ I wanted to throw my phone to the wall. It’s just makes you want to read more but also makes you want to savor every moment. Another good thing is that even though it was a series and needs to be read in order but the end of each books isn’t a cliffy.
The characters are also very fun to read. They add mystery to the story. I was starting to doubt one person and it just adds so much thrill to it.
This is by far the best from the series and I’m giving this a 5 star.
