A beautiful story about a couple who had been friends for over 20 years and suddenly because of a ring they realized they are something different for each other.

What started as a joke with someone else’s engagement ring, best friends Harper and Mia would go around and pretend to get engaged all the time in different places. That is until the ruse turned in to something more and made them both question forever. Fun read.

I enjoyed reading this light romantic story. It’s super fast paced and can be easily read in an hour or less. There is a quick backstory given so we know about Harper and Mia’s relationship as friends. As a tragedy occurs, it is up to one of them to step up the relationship that seems to have taken a romantic turn upon an erroneous engagement proposal.
If you’re looking for something to read in between books, this is a good suggestion.
Happy reading!

mia and harper are lifelong friends ,so well that while out to dinner together the waiter mixed up and gave the engagement cake to them , they play it off but they feel embarrassed , so they both play along with it. and give the ring back to original owner. , but it makes them wonder is there something besides friendship that keeps them together or is it something else. this was a short love story.

This is a quick and easy read. The storyline is well-crafted, intriguing, suspenseful, has drama and steam. The characters are defined, and likable with sizzling chemistry. I liked it.
Mia’s parents are killed and she is taken in by Haper and his parents. They are raised together and become the best of friends. Now, when out to dinner, desert is brought out to them and it has an engagement ring in it. These once best friends begin to wonder if there is more than just friendship between them. I enjoyed this short story and the characters but found it lacking in smoothness which took away from the story for me.

I read this book and it goes from one thing to another without much explanation. They go from one area and instead of talking about it jumps to 6 months later or 2 weeks later. The story doesn’t flow well at all.
