Servant Of Chaos by Laura Greenwood is the 3rd and final story in the Forgotten Gods series.
The author did a really great job bringing the Egyptian world to life in these stories. Well written quick reads with great characters and details.
I really enjoyed all of them and recommend to any Egyptian fantasy fans!
Rhodopis has been a slave to the God of Chaos her whole life. She is used to the cruelty and pain that comes with it. When the minor god, Abu, comes to visit with Ra, the Sun God, he tries to convince her to try a different way of life. She has been punished so many times she is afraid to try again. But, her love for Abu and his for her will give them something to live for.
Servant of Chaos is a Egyptian Mythology story that I listened to on audio narrated by Susan Greenway. This is the third book in the Forgotten Gods Trilogy Series that can be read as a stand-alone. I do feel after reading the entire series that it would be best to read in order due to cross over characters.
I absolutely love Laura’s books! This trilogy does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, which is a set up for the spin off trilogy series Consorts of the Goddess. I cannot wait to get my hands on Quest of the Goddess which will be released May 21, 2020.
Susan Greenway did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
Servant of Chaos by Laura Greenwood is the third book in the forgotten Gods series. This book focuses on the love story between a servant of the god Seth named Rhodopis who is really a goddesses and another god she meets who travels to meet with Seth. This is a tale based in the world of Egyptian myths and is full of very graphic scenes. It focuses on how what you believe is often more important than anything else. This tale is not for the faint of heart but it is definitely a good read for anyone who enjoys stories that are mythological based. Servant of Chaos is a mythic tale of one goddesses love.
Our heroine has been a slave of the Egyptian god Seth for as long as she remembers. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t dream of a better life.
This is the third book in the series. It works just fine as a standalone.
This is a fantasy romance story set in the time of Egyptian gods. The story is well written and easy to read, with a straightforward plot that still manages to have some unexpected twists to it. The characters are well developed and I found our heroine to be particularly likable. I really enjoyed the Egyptian mythology elements of the story and now want to go back and read the other books in this series to pick up more of that. Overall, a very enjoyable read.
Highly recommended.

Emotionally thrilling, sexy, fun and engaging adventure filled with exciting charters, witty dialog, heart racing action and undeniable passion… was a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this journey!
Rhodopis has been a servant to the God of Chaos but when she learns about life outside she wants out. This is a quick, well written story and is based on Egyptian mythology. This author has piqued my interest in that subject and I have really enjoyed reading this series. I look forward to reading more of this author’s books in the future.
I found this book interesting. The storyline drew me in and kept my interest throughout. The story and characters are well written and developed. I would recommend reading.

There has always been something mysterious and hallowed about Egyptian mythology to me. I came to the party late for this series but thoroughly enjoyed this book. Between Rhodopis, Seth, Ra, and Abu there was so much to keep me glued to the pages. I’ll definitely need to backtrack to read the previous books to this series.
I am loving this series as each story deals with a different mythological god and love the way Laura Greenwood weaves the story. There’s the romance you expect and some angst and mystery.

This is a good book to read if you’re into Egyptian mythology, although the author twists the myth into her own version. It’s a fairly short, clean read. The only thing that messed me up was the ending. The author doesn’t really give the story an ending or let the reader know if the two main leads ever get resolution to what is going on through the story, but she does say the goddess will show up in a series she is working on.
Rhodopis has been a slave for thousands of years and never believed in love until….
Rhodopis has no memory of her past. All she remembers is being a slave to the God of Chaos.
Abu visits Chaos’ temple with the Sun God, Ra and sees Rhodopis. He sees more in her than she sees in herself, but that is okay because he has enough faith for the both of them.
Now she just needs to take a chance and believe.
Once again, I have to stop myself and not say any spoilers (laugh). Novellas can be hard to describe sometimes.
Laura Greenwood says that this is the end of the “Forgotten Gods” series with the third book Servant of Chaos (Drowlgon Press, 1704357764, 2019). This book proves that the stories cannot end here. Rhodopis is another amazing character in this series. Greenwood states in the Author’s Notes that she took the idea for this story from a version of Cinderella that is told in Egypt. Well Cinderella had her “happy ending” and that is not to say that Rhodopis does not have her happy ending here, but….
Now this is where my personal opinion is coming in to play, so if you do not want to be influenced by “fanning” you should probably just stop here and read the story – then come back and tell me if you agree with me. (laugh)

Can she break free of hundreds of years as a slave? Rhodopis has been a slave to Seth the god of chaos for one thousand years, ever since she was a young child. Seth is sadistic, and causes pain to others for his enjoyment. Then Ra and his lesser gods and half-gods comes for a visit. Rhodopis falls in love with Abu, but she can never escape from Seth. But Abu tells her he suspects she is not a half-goddess but a goddess and should be free. But Rhodopis has no power and then Seth does something to finally cause Rhodopis to stand up for herself and secretly work with Abu to get revenge. This kind of ended in a cliffhanger with the reader not knowing what happens to her and Abu. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rhodopis is a slave that belongs to Seth, the god of chaos. She has belonged to him for thousands of years. A visiting god comes to Seth’s place and Rhodopis finds herself attracted to a minor god.
A quick story of a slave who falls in love and finds happiness in the end. I enjoyed the storyline.

This was a very unusual read. Well written with go detail out into the characters and worldbuilding. It’s brutal at times but a compelling read.
