I love reading about lawmen heroes! I also enjoyed the surprise twist in this story.
After a difficult time Rourke is on his way to Chicago to become a Pinkerton Agent but Fallon isn’t happy with his decision. What to do, maybe to become an agent herself to force Rourke to marry her. But will it work the way she expected?
Again a great surprising story by this author. I love the Pinkerton Agent series and this fits but is different from the other books. I really recommend this story.
This is a great book! Ginny Sterling did a terrific job!
I really enjoyed reading this book! There a lot of mysterious things going on and the Pinkerton Agency has to find out what they are and catch the bad guys! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a little mystery along with their romance!
Short but sweet story! Fun twists and unexpected adventures made for a great read.
The Pinkerton Matchmaker series has been a favorite of mine and Ginny Sterling has penned another great addition! She has created two characters and a storyline that had me laughing, sighing and wanting to shake the handsome Rourke and the lovely Fallon.
After a mine collapse almost killed Rourke, he and Fallon head to Chicago so he can become a Pinkerton agent. But Fallon wants to be one too and go ahead and get married. Unfortunately it seems that Rourke keeps putting her off, so she decides to go to Denver with her friend Gillian and her husband. Good move?
Well that is when everything starts to unravel a little! She gets the job as an agent in Denver but the catch is she has to marry her partner due to the training and danger. But it can be annulled after the assignment is completed. What? She cannot believe it! Plus she was paired up with Jack who wasn’t any more enamored with the idea. How would Rourke take this?
Adventure, danger, kidnapping, fear and a love that would survive it all, hopefully. Perfect!
This was so much fun. A headstrong woman who wanted to be a Pinkerton Agent, leaves the love of her life to marry a total stranger. I gasped at what Fallon had to go through with her love working in the mines and then fussed at her while she was supposed to be undercover letting her anger get the best of her. I even laughed out loud several times, getting the attention of my hubby wanting to know what was so funny. Of course only if you read the story will you get the laughter, so I just tell hubs, nothing you’d understand! If you like clean, fun, headstrong female characters, you can’t go wrong with ‘An Agent for Fallon’. I highly recommend.
I received the book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
I’m probably hoping for too much but I hope reviewers will keep the twist quiet and make you read the book. I loved this book because it has such a fun twist. Ginny Sterling has brought us interesting characters still keeping with Archie’s determination that new female agents must be married to their training agent. Fallon is not a quiet sit in the corner young lady and she brings a new dimension to Pinkerton couples.
I really liked this book even with its twist which had me worried for awhile. And, my heart hurt for Jack. Fallon and Rourke have been engaged for a long time, but, Rourke keeps making excuses to not marry. Then a horrifying mine collapse gives them a few anxious days. Rourke decides to leave Pennsylvania and go to Chicago to join the Pinkerton Agency there, taking Fallon with him. But, Fallon feels he is dismissive of her abilities, so she goes to Denver to join the Pinkerton Agency there. She is paired with Jack, and they go thru a marriage ceremony. Then, Rourke follows her to Denver only to find her married. Will true love conquer? Read it to find out. 5 Stars
I loved this Pinkerton Detective book! I’ve read several and this one was a little different. Although there was a “case” that needed to be solved, it took a “backseat” this time to the relationship which is usually 50/50 in the other Pinkerton books. Fallon and Rourke have been engaged or at least sweethearts for a long time. Fallon is tired of waiting for the actual wedding so she decides to be bold and leave Chicago and Rourke to embark on a adventure of her own and become a Pinkerton detective even though she knows Rourke will be livid! Rourke is already a Pinkerton and he has all kinds of excuses for not marrying Fallon just yet but it’s been YEARS and she’s not waiting around anymore! Fallon has to marry another man (a stipulation for Pinkertons) in name only to be allowed to work on a case and she gets Jack, who is hilarious! He is cantankerous and treats her like a “little woman” but Fallon will have none of that! I loved their sparring! Just wait until Rourke finds out Fallon is “married” to another man – whooie!!!!!! A fun story!!!!
Loved Fallon and Rourke’s story! They went through a lot of trials together, and only Rourke’s fears and insecurities kept them apart. He finally realizes him errors when he thinks he’s lost Fallon to Jack. This makes me really want Jack’s story!! Love this series!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
The Pinkerton series is awesome
