I was addicted to this book as soon as I’d read the first chapter. The characters are wonderful and each has their own quirks . Sylvie and Nari made me laugh out loud, their banter was so funny.
Sylvie has been jilted by her fiance Cole and she decides to swap her honeymoon destination for a winter break to see the Northern lights in Scandanavia with Nari as her side kick .The descriptive writing made you feel like you could be there with them. I wanted to jump on a plane and go and see the resort and the beautiful scenery for myself. Enter Stellan and Niilo ,the owner of the resort and his best friend. Stellan and Sylvie had previously met at Manchester uni so they reconnect and the antics of all four characters are hilarious and touching at times too. This is a very heartwarming read and I kept smiling as I read it. I thoroughly recommend it

Audiobook Review:
I enjoyed the story once it got to Finland. The English part felt a little tedious to me, like uninspired chick lit. The descriptions of Lapland sounded beautiful, especially the Frozen Falls. I could easily imagine myself there. This is a second-chance-at-love story for one couple. The years-past teenage romance had misunderstandings, of course, so when the couple meets again, everything is awkward… until it isn’t. The book has a second love story as well, for the friend the heroine came with… and the guy she was instantly attracted to when they arrive at the resort they will be staying. The story was at times touching, though I wasn’t wild about the American bashing in a few places. I’m not sure why some British authors sink to that level. This was a pleasant story to listen to. The narrator did well with the British accents that clearly showed where the characters came from. However, I thought she did a poor job with Stellan. While I am not sure what a Finnish accent sounds like, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t sound Italian, Russian, or Polish… which this character’s vocal styling sounded like at turns.
I received a free copy of this audiobook, but that did not affect my review.
Overall, this is a great second chance love story, I love the warm and cozy atmosphere filled with christmas spirit in this book. This is well written with wonderful characters and adorable husky puppies!! I have a good time listening to this audiobook!
A perfect read for fall or winter season, curled up in bed beneath a blanket with a steaming hot chocolate!
As for the narrator for the audiobook, I like the way she delivers the story. Even though I don’t really like how she change the accent when she was reading Stellan’s part. The sudden change surprised me and sometimes pull me out of the story while I was listening to it.
If you’re looking to read a second chance romance with a magical christmas setting then this book might be for you!

A huge thank you to Netgalley, Kiley Dunbar and Saga Egmont Audio for giving me the ALC of Christmas in Frozen Falls in return for an honest opinion from me!
Christmas in Lapland? Sounds like the perfect wintery setup. The cover and premise are so cozy and appealing.
Sylvie is jilted and rather than tuck her tale and hide, she wrangles her friend, Nari, and joins her in a wintery escape to see the Northern Lights. She bumps into her ex from long ago and jumps at the chance for closure.
The narrative was well done by Helen Duff and engaging but I did not love her “voices”, particularly for Stellan. It was somewhat unpleasant and pulled me away from the story. I struggled a bit identifying who was talking at the beginning which made for more than a little confusion.
Thank you to Saga Egmont Audio and NetGalley for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.
Such a wonderful change of scenery! A Christmas love story in Lapland! Not one but two love stories. The story of lost love and new love and taking the chance of forever love. Best friends decide to see the Northern Lights over Christmas, to forget that this was supposed to be the time of Sylvie honeymoon…..not! She was dumped days before her wedding. Nari her best friend decided they would go together, but Sylvie didn’t want to go to the tropical island as was planned, so the complete opposite is to go to Frozen Falls in the Lapland’s. It also so happens that Sylvie’s first love Stellan comes from that small town. Could she happen upon him? Get answers to why he left suddenly from school and broke her heart?
Nari is a travel blogger and is always up to new experiences. Hoping to help her friend get over her heartbreak she tries to meet up with Stellan to get the two together. Although this means she is paired up with Stellan best friend and coworker, could there be something else between them?
Love the narration, she really put you in the wilds of Lapland. Plus the husky puppies are a plus.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #Netgalley #ChristmasatFrozenFalls
Sylvie and her best friend and travel blogger Nari flight to Frozen Falls to spend Christmas after using Sylvie’s honeymoon budget. She was dumped six months ago for her fiancé and she needs a break from her life. Will they see the Northern Ligths and find love an de happiness in a beautiful but cold place? Great audiobook
Sylvie has been dumped by her boyfriend of 10 years. And right at Christmas. Her best friend writes a travel blog and convinces Sylvie to travel with her to see the Northern Lights instead of wallowing in self pity at home. Sylvie reconnects with the true love of her life – her college love Stellan. He owns a remote resort in one of the coldest spots on earth – Frozen Falls. The air is pure and the scenery is beautiful and she realizes she still loves him. Stellan is very stoic and doesn’t talk about his feelings. They must figure out if they STILL love each other. A nice second chance Christmas romance. Excellent narration by Helen Duff.

A sweet holiday romance. Sylvie is not looking forward to Christmas having been dumped by her jerk of an ex shortly before their wedding. She is truly in a slump and wants to be left alone and to wallow. Her best friend Nari has completely different plans for them both and books them on a trip to Lapland to see the Northern lights. Mostly her intentions are good, but I also found her to be selfish in that she’s a travel blogger with no where to go so she hijacks her friend and takes her somewhere she had no desire to go to. Additionally she thinks Sylvie jus needs to “get over it” and move on as she isn’t one who really believes in true love. As it turns out Sylvies ex-boyfriend, the only true love of her heart owns the resort they are booked to go to. He broke her heart so so she isn’t really sure if she is happy or a little freaked out to see Stellan and clearly neither is he. Nari has a tendency to go off and do her own thing for her work while not taking her friends emotional quagmire into account. Slowly Sylvie and Stellan find their way back to each other and find their HEA. And puppies. Really cute puppies. This is perfect for the holiday season or if you just need a pick me up and a little insight to Lapland. Lovely narration.
I received a copy of this book from Netgalley.com in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Christmas at Frozen Falls by Kiley Dunbar is a great contemporary romance that is entertaining, engaging, festive, and really hit the spot.
I am reviewing the audiobook version narrated by Helen Duff.
Sylvie and her friend Nari travel to see the fabulous Northern Lights over the holidays. This is just what Sylvie needs after a down and out time where her engagement and soon to be marriage has ended. Of course she never dreamed of bumping into her ex boyfriend on her escapee vaca, you know the one that got away, and now she has to look inside herself to reassess what she truly wants in life and how she truly feels.
I enjoyed visiting Finland, especially during the holidays. The author did a great job giving the reader vivid images of a winter wonderland. I also enjoyed the second chance romance with Stellan.
A comfy, cozy, festive, and upbeat romance that helped warm my heart and day.
5/5 stars for the audiobook and the novel

What a beautifully written story set in a stunning location. Kiley Dunbar evokes the Christmassy beauty of Lapland so wonderfully that I have added it to my travel must sees. I love her story of Sylvie and Stellan, and I may have shed (many) tears at the end.
Highly recommended.
