Who knew a latte could lead to so much more? College graduate Valentina never expected to fall for the hot as hell and intimidating Derek Cole when she accepted his offer to rent his property. From cottage to mansion, Valentina is certain she doesn’t deserve the fairytale unfolding. But Derek gets what he wants…and he wants her. He’s “the one” for her, but before she says I do, she has to … before she says I do, she has to survive a month long trip to his family’s estate in Atlanta. Gaining approval from four brothers and an over-protective mother might just be her hardest test yet.
For billionaire Derek Cole, this homecoming is a chance to mend the damage he caused when he walked away from the family business.
Just when they think they have a handle on their happily ever after…their past and future collide.
Unravel You is a steamy, billionaire romance that started with Love Over Lattes. Contains explicit love scenes and mild violence. No cheating. No cliffhangers.

I loved Love Over Lattes and meeting Derek and Valentina — this book is a continuation of their very challenging romance and challenging is an understatement! I love how this author writes and this book showcased everything I love about her writing–the depth of the characters and the complexity of the storyline. We also get to meet the other Cole brothers in this book and I can’t wait to meet them–they all sound quite interesting! The storyline is emotional and intense at times and funny and sweet at other times, and steamy and sexy all the time. Another winner from this author.
Wow, this follows on from Love over Lattes. We finally get the even better ending to Valentina’s and Derek’s story.
We also get to meet Derek’s crazy family. At parts I wanted to smack Derek and his mum Lilly. At others I wanted to scream and smack them all around the heads.
But it wouldn’t be a happily ever after without some speed humps the size of Bridget and Alex.
Diana A Hicks did amazing job on this book, and finally giving us the story we want.
I highly recommend this book, but read love over lattes first.
Valentina deCordoba is a single mom to Max and has recently become engaged to her boss, Derek Cole in a whirlwind relationship. Now she finds herself heading to Atlanta to meet his family but will she do if she finds she doesn’t measure up to what his mother expects?
Derek Cole is the CEO of Cole Communications and right off his divorce to his ex-wife Bridget he has fallen in love with Valentina. Will his family trust his judgement with her or are they likely to believe she is only after his money?
When Derek starts receiving threatening letters will he be able to get to the bottom of it? Can Valentina receive Derek’s mom’s approval before she decides it’s not worth the battle?
This was a good first book in the series and I am really intrigued to read all of the stories of the different brothers.
I really liked Valentina but I must admit that as a single mom I was shocked that she was able to head to Atlanta with him. I knew her reasons for him staying were valid ones but I couldn’t imagine ever doing that and for that I must admit that I was mad at Derek for making her make the choice that she did. Other than that I really did like Valentina and I liked how insecure she was with meeting Derek’s family and how fast their relationship was going.
So I was mad at Derek for making Valentina leave Max but I also understood that he was worried about her safety. It was clear that there was no love lost between him and his ex-Bridget and that he tried to be fair to her but that she thought she deserved much more. He really did love Valentina and wanted to provide her with everything that he could.
I was so angry with Derek’s mom, Lilly, for how she treated Valentina and how she was trying to show Derek that he belonged with Ana. I couldn’t believe all of the jabs that Lilly did and I definitely wanted Valentina to escape out of there!
There was a lot of mystery and tension in the book involving the unknown and it was written really well. I was freaking out with Valentina about what she thought was going on and I must say that I would have probably done the same thing as she did.
The end was great and I was glad that everything worked out the way it should have!!

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Derek’s first wife Bridget embezzled their company to fund her gambling habits. It was not a marriage of love but convenience.
Needless to say this marriage didn’t last long due to this and other things. Derek had moved on building the company backup until he met Valentina who also worked with them.
Valentina had a 6 year old boy, Max, who meant the world to her. Derek and Valentina fell deeply in love.
The first half of this book was a real feel good book. A romance to beat all romances. Then the second half upped the ante and we had their pasts clashing together in a very well written drama.
A recommended read.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Valentina and Cole are engaged though things are still a little bumpy. She has issues of not being good enough for him and his issues are a whole entirely different thing. Add in two ex’s that feel owed something they are not and you get one explosive yet steamy happily ever after for these two. Full of surprises that wrap up this chapter of the Cole brothers very well. Makes for a fun read for fans of romance. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
I wanted to like this book and even though it’s part of a series, it seemed like it would be fine as a standalone story. To me, it wasn’t. I felt a bit lost in the beginning.
Valentina also just didn’t make sense. She’s engaged to Derek, but is super shy about sex? I mean, I’m pretty sure she knows how things work considering she has a child, but come on. I also hated Derek. His attitude sucked and he was so pushy.
I gave it a chance and finished it, but this whole story just wasn’t my thing.
Unravel You is an enjoyable steamy romance with a side of suspense. Not having ready any other books by this author, including Love Over Lattes (Desert Monsoon Series, Book 1) many references in Unravel You were lost on me. I was able to keep up with the story, however; and found Valentina and Derek a cute couple. Their romance seems a bit fast but when you find the love of your life, you just know. My husband and I have been married for 10 years and we moved in together after only knowing each other for 1 1/2 months. We got engaged a year later and married a year after that. Anyway, back to the story.
One thing about the way the author wrote this book that stood out to me was the way our hero and heroine were not flawless. Sure, Derek is a billionaire but he has problems just everyone else. He’s still fighting with events in his past. Having money does mean everything in one’s life is perfect. Valentina is still fighting the ghosts of her past, too. She caught the eye of the bachelor billionaire but her baggage and mistreatment has her doubting and second-guessing. When both of their pasts collide head-on it becomes time to open up, be honest, and trust one another.
The chemistry between Valentina and Derek was strong, unwavering, and believable. Their characters are strong and written with realism. I was engaged in the story long before I began reading chapter one, since the synopsis in the book intrigued me. The book flows along perfectly paced, had a wonderful plot, side stories, and secondary characters. I began the book on a Sunday morning and finished it just past lunchtime. I could not put Unravel You down. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the Cole Brothers Series.
I was provided a copy of this book to review.
This story had its moments a s was quite enjoyable read. I really like Valentina. She was smart, funny and a bit feisty when need be. Now Derrick was kinda hard to connect at the beginning but that is on me since I’ve read that this is continuation of their story. He had serious trust issues but with Valentina in his life he overcame them.
They had a bumpy round ahead of them and I was really pleased with the way HEA occurred.

This is the 1st on a new series and is Derek and Valentina’s story. This is a well written story which is filled with drama, suspense, secrets, twists, humour, and love which all lead to a steamy read. I look forward to reading more in this series and recommend for all.
Unravel You is the first book in the Cole Brother’s Series. I thought the story was okay. I liked the suspense and the introduction to Derek’s family. But I didn’t like the way Derek and Valentina were in this book, for newly engaged they should of been basking in their love, but it was one misunderstanding after another between them. And don’t even get me started on the ex’s.
The Cole Brother’s seem to have abit of mystery about them, and I can’t wait to read their stories.
Unravel You was a great book! I loved Derek and Valentina! Their chemistry was hot! With all the secrets, suspense, danger and twists and turns you get a fantastic story! It looks like the Cole Brothers series is going to be amazing!
I can’t wait to read all of the Cole brothers stories!
I did not realize that this book is a sequel to the book Love Over Lattes and I’ll be honest dropping in like this left me feeling a tad confused and out of the loop, so I really think you will have a better reading experience if you read that book first. I did enjoy Derek and Valentina’s story though. I thought that these two had great chemistry and shared a connection that was easy to feel. Their story is rich with emotions, drama and humor. As this couple works towards a HEA they have to deal with an intense present and messy pasts. I liked it and am looking forward to reading the about the other brothers in future books.
Unravel You is a hot read. I love the chemistry between Derek and Valentina so much. They are hot. Valentina is an amazing mom and she knows what she wants. She is strong and so lovely. Derek is alpha and determined to fix his relationships with his family. I love how Valentina encourages Derek to fix things with everyone and she is just so wonderful even through everything the family puts her through. This book is sexy and will keep you on your toes. I love that little added bit of suspense in this one. Don’t get me started by the mystery that surrounds all of Derek’s brothers. I can’t wait for more of those Cole men. You need to get to know Derek and Valentina first and do so now.
This is the first book that I have read from this writer. It was enjoyable from beginning to end. Valentina is starting a new life with what seems to be the man of her dreams Derek. These two meet because she works for him. After only a month Derek asks her to marry him. But things between them are not what they seem and things are going to get even more complicated when they go to Atlanta. Will they still get married?
Once they get to Atlanta Valentina meets Derek’s mom who does not really like it nor does she seem like she wants to make things easy for her. The neighbor Ana seems to be the one that Derek’s mother wants him to marry. But things are not what they seem no matter how you look at things. Something is going on in Atlanta that no one can figure out until it is to late. Will Valentina be safe from her past? Will Derek be able to keep Valentina happy? What is going to happen between these two? I absolutely love the chemistry between these two. It is off the charts off. I love seeing these two together and fighting to be together. There is just something so strong between them. I absolutely love the little twist that Diana throws in when it comes to Valentina’s past and Derek’s past and how they come together.
This was a great book from beginning to end. Two amazing characters that you cant help but love. Highly recommend reading this one. I cant wait to read the rest in this series. Absolutely love the characters. Diana gained a fan.
This was the first book from this author that I have read. I liked this story however I was a little lost since this was the continuation of Valentina and Cole’s story. I really enjoyed the characters and the story once I got over the issue that I have missed some of their story. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Will they or won’t they becomes should they or shouldn’t they. Is there love enough to survive the hot mess that is heading their way? Derek and Valentina seem lost in a fairytale that neither is sure will come true. She found her Prince. He has his Cinderella. Yet life seems destined to throw a monkey wrench in their plans. Unravel You teases the heart with humor, seduces the senses and takes a real world look at the starry eyed fantasy we hold in our hearts of love. Hicks turns fantasy romance into realistic chaos. I loved every minute of it.
Wow what an emotional journey! Wendy for Janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog
This was a suspenseful conclusion to Valentina and Cole’s story. It picked up after Love over Lattes and introduced us to all the Cole brothers. I loved the characters and am looking forward to reading all the brothers stories.
You know when you’re reading at 1 am and you think “I’ll just read one more chapter” then BAM! It’s 5 am and you’ve finished the book!? Well; that just happened. I couldn’t put this twisting and turning, anxiety-filled, sexy book down! My pulse was racing and I just needed to know if everyone came out the other side. By the end I was crying happy tears; happy, emotional, relieved tears. What a fantastic ride that was.
I’d met Derek and Valentina in the previous book, Love Over Lattes, so it was really good to get the rest of their super fast relationship. The story carries straight on from the last book with plenty of plot reminders along the way so it’s okay if you hadn’t read the previous book.
Derek is a man very in love who just wants to protect Valentina but…. he is far too controlling about it a lot of the time! Keeping things to himself gets him in trouble so many times; you’d think he’d learn his lesson eventually, but he’s only a mere man ha! There are so many people trying to keep these two love-sick people apart that my heart hurt for Valentina at times. Valentina has grown into a fiercely strong woman and is very compassionate. It’s obvious that this couple belongs together, they just need to communicate a bit more.
All the characters are well written and totally believable. The baddies were really hateful and the not so baddies grew on me but… I’m not so easily forgiving. Let’s just say that.
I really loved this book. I look forward to reading the next books in the series about Dereks four brothers.
