A lakeside summer, a new beginning… Sam to create her wedding dress…if only she can avoid the bride’s infuriating brother, who’s temporarily the boy next door.
Ian Summerhill knows a sabbatical in Haven Point is exactly what he and his children need to recover from their mother’s death. His romantic relationship with his ex-wife may have ended years ago, but caring for her throughout her illness broke his heart. All he wants is to watch his little sister walk down the aisle and to see his kids smile again. And somehow his lovely new neighbor is instrumental in both. But as their uneasy truce blossoms into a genuine friendship and more, Ian has obligations in England he can’t ignore—and a secret that threatens the fragile trust he and Sam have built.

Sam and Ian are great. I love the misinterpretation between them due to cultural differences. Then they break that barrier while talking at night on a bench by the dock.
Both are swamped by family obligations. I loved watching them figure it out.
What a great story!
Summer at Lake Haven was actually the way a summer would be for a wedding designer. Samantha is a designer and she love making the perfect wedding dress for the bride to wear. Samantha’s friend was getting married so she making the dress to fit Gemma dream dress. Samantha also was having a lot of conflict herself with loosing her mother five months ago and have to run the Fremont Fashions and do her design and make the dress for the brides. One day Sam went to the market to get so groceries and there was a couple who had a dog and they could take care of it and they where looking for 200.00 for gas to get them where they where going. So Sam fell in love with the dog and gave them the money they where asking for. Come to find out when she took the dog to the vet she knew to get the dog checked out she found out she was pregnant and was almost due to have the puppies. So she had a dog and was going to have puppies didn’t know how many but that was the start of the change for her at Lake Haven. The next surprise was that she had a new neighbor because the way she found out was she had the puppies outside in a pin so they could play some how they got out and the children brought them to her. That is when she knew that the summer at Lake Haven was going to be different and difficult because she met Gemma’s niece and nephew and her brother Ian who she thought was handsome. They got to know each other and she had the children puppy sitting for her while she was at work to give them something to do. They really didn’t want to be at Lake Haven they want to be back home with there friends so she thought might help them a little by watching the puppies. They fell in love with the puppies and she fell in love the children as she watched them with the puppies. A lot happened to Samantha that summer and she knew things where going to be different.
This was a romance that I was one that made me cry and laugh also happy. RaeAnne Thayne book was written with a lot of flirty parts and a lot of emotional and deeply satisfying.
What a satisfying end to this series.
If you’ve read the other Haven Point books, you’ll know Samantha from each one. Best friend or friend to all, a little flirty, a little boy crazy but such a sweetheart. Well, now that all her friends are married and starting their lives, it’s time for Sam to get her Happily Ever After too.
Ian and his 2 children have come to Haven Point for his sister Gemma’s wedding. He had no intention on finding and falling for anyone, since he’ll have to go back to England after the wedding, but love has a way of sneaking up on you and sneak up it does, for Ian and Samantha can’t help but falling for each other.
I loved this story so much! It was such a sweet and entertaining read and I was so sad to see it end. Ian and Samantha were perfect for each other, the kids were amazing and the people of Haven Point were as wonderful as ever. Just like every other time I finish a book in this series, I want to live there.
RaeAnne Thayne never disappoints me and her stories always leave me so happy. Emotional at times but truly happy when it’s all over. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.

RaeAnne Thayne never fails to pull me into her books. The descriptive scenes, the wonderful characters, the fabulous families, and don’t forget the dogs! It was nice to see Samantha finally get her own story and Wow! was it a good one. This is a must read for all Haven Point fans. I’m sorry to see the end of Haven Point but is has been an amazing journey I will never forget. Enjoy! I received a book from the author but this review is my own voluntary opinions.
I received a early copy of this book from the author through NetGalley in exchange for my review.
Once again a book of RaeAnne Thayne ‘s steals my heart, what’s not to love about a love story with adorable kids and cute puppies and a laugh out loud moment when Samantha imagines her pregnant dog Betsy explaining how her babies happened to be in the oven.
Oh such a feel good ending I don’t want anyone to miss, so my recommendation is grab this one.
