Everything changed when I crashed into a food truck. It all started with a brutal hill. An incline that I was determined to crest. One, long, punishing climb with my thighs screaming as I pumped the pedals for all I was worth. That hill could have been a metaphor for my whole life. I was climbing out of the crater left by a broken heart, ready to seize control again. Making it up that hill was a … hill was a good first step.
Then I hit the food truck.
Enter Reese Riley, blond, gorgeous, stunning sapphire eyes and the kind of smile to set my blood on fire. No way he was real. With charm to spare, he walked me home and then asked me out. Then he introduced me to his friends—Briggs, Goran, and Dalton. Stunning men, all of them. Funny, too. They flirted, they teased, and they indulged. They were incredible, each of them, and they fit into my life like they’d been born to be there. I didn’t know whether to celebrate or to run like hell.
Oh, and did I mention they were aliens?
*Please note this is a reverse harem and the authors suggest you always read the forwards in their books. This is the first in a trilogy.

OMG! A new RH trilogy by two of my favorite authors! I went into this expecting a fantastic story and was not disappointed. I can hardly wait for the next installment in this sexy Scifi/fantasy trilogy. Action! Adventure! Hot guys and a tale that sucks you in I am in hog heaven.
Rebecca Royce and Heather long wrote this one . So when two powerhouses get together you get awesomeness and a not to be missed series reverse Harem fans.
The leading lady in this story is khloe Rumbold and her craziness all started when she hit a food truck with her bicycle. That is then gorgeous blond Reese with sapphire eyes showed up and walked her 5 miles home carrying her mangled bicycle but before she got way he asked her to a bar and to meet his friends. Briggs, Goran, Dalton. All of them flirted their way into her life like they had always been there. Oh yes when thing are to perfect there is something just off thier Aliens and thier not the only ones on the planet seem there are more . Yep her life sure did change lol you so have to read the twist and turns this story takes and see for yourself what happens. You just will not believe me . This is just book 1 and we have 2 more books to go but wow what a start! I couldn’t wait for book two. It’s full of action , drama, mystery, betrayal ,spice, and so much more. I couldn’t put it down and didn’t want to.
Voluntarily review a copy and I honestly loved it.
No spoilers of any kind included.
Queenmaker was absolutely amazing and that is all I am going to say because if I say anymore I’ll be giving away spoilers.
I most definitely recommend this book because I loved it and I think you will too.
The start of a new series Heart of the Nebula a well written story with a very good storyline. I enjoyed reading this book and seeing the people and how they interact. I want to read the next book.
You know you are in for a story with a very strong female lead that will not end in a pretty bow with the first story when you pick up something from Rebecca Royce. And when that story also has been written with Heather Long, you know that the strong Alphas and PNR level is going to go even higher.
Queenmaker was an exceptional story that did not disappoint. I was captivated with story of Khloe “with a K” from the moment she was pumping up the hill on a bike to the moment she was rushing to save her bestie. And lets talk her men! They are out of this world! Reese, Briggs, Goran, Dalton, they each bring a skill to round out Khloe’s skills that she has yet to discover. I loved what they shared with Khloe about themselves and how they opened up. Grace was a unique friend and character. I hope there is more of her.
While we know little of Khloe’s family and home, I suspect in the next books, that we are in for some serious twists, backstabs, and discoveries. Keep in mind when reading Queenmaker, this is the first book and does not end with any resolutions, only more questions.
I did more than jump when I seen another series starting from this author, I quickly opened the pages as soon as I got my grubby hands on it. This will start out innocently until Khole has her mishap with it bringing in another character Reese whom will only be the beginning. Things will kinda be on fast when you will also meet the others but it will turn out that they are different. By then you are a goner though because you are caught up into this world they have opened up for you. The pace is nice and different with you wanting to know everything. She is one lucky girl those are some that you do not want to let go of. The end of this though will ensure you come back when the door opens again.
I was so into this story that I was shocked to realize that I had read to the end; I had no idea I had read straight thru from start to finish. It is the first book in a trilogy and it does not end with this first book. Know that there is a terrific story, along with the entire set up, so there was much to enjoy. I don’t want to give any spoilers but I will say that there was intrigue, mayhem, fun, an I-volunteer-to-try reverse harem to read about with three very different, but hawt, aliens: Reese, Dalton and Goran. And a very strong, sassy, wee bit down on herself human named Khloe Rumbold.
The story begins with Khloe having a REALLY bad day. She runs into a truck, while on her bicycle, and Reese comes to her rescue. Next, she meets Dalton – or does she? – at her apartment. And Goran is the third part of this boy harem but she meets him a bit later. Khloe’s life seems fairly normal, with the requisite bad days, really bad days, and good days, however there is so much going on behind the scenes, that Khloe is blindsided when “the boys” start to explain things to her.
That’s my very simple explanation but Queenmaker had my heart pumping and then my ‘awwwwwwe’ meter going off the scale. And it is smexy and hawt, too. I was truly engrossed and never knew I had finished until the pages were no longer turning. Can’t wait for the next book as I need to know what happens with these three!
Khloe is trucking along through life just getting by. She’s just out of a horrible relationship where she was done just plain wrong. She’s always been distrustful of people and her less than stellar ex isn’t making that any better. So when she runs into Reese and he wants to help, she’s a little wary. Weirdly, she feels safe with him. She’s still cautious, as she should be as a smart woman, but she agrees to go out with him and meet his friends. There we meet Briggs, Goran and Dalton. She soon realizes that she’s attracted to all of these men and feels remarkably comfortable and safe with them. She has no clue what’s to come though. These four men aren’t just handsome and charming, they are out of this world. Khloe begins an adventure she never saw coming.
I think these two authors did a great job with the start to this series. We have some super sexy aliens who are just what the doctor ordered for our poor Khloe. They jump right into her life and start taking care of her like she needs. Even though she fights them on some of it. Which I’m glad she does b/c who wants a female lead who’s just going to roll over and let them do all the work. Of course they come with secrets to reveal to Khloe but they aren’t the only ones. We have plenty of twists and surprises popping up throughout the book. We also have an ending that leaves us like WHAT?!?!?!
Rebecca and Heather meshed really well in their writing and the story had a really good flow to it. They did a really good job of getting you into the story and keeping you there. Giving you a great picture of the characters and making you feel for them. Fantastic job by the pair and can’t wait for the next book so we get to see what happens.
Queenmaker is part one of a trilogy, what that means is that this is a continuing journey that progresses through each book to the end.
In this book we meet Khloe, she’s still recuperating from a break-up in which her ex took everything of value from her. She’s riding her bicycle and thinking of all that injustice when she crashes into a food truck.
Reese is the first to aid her and as he walks with her to see her safely home, he also convinces her to join him and his friends for a drink.
To be on the safe side she calls her best friend Grace to join her. Grace isn’t with her very long though since she runs into her on again off again boyfriend Maurice.
The initial meeting with Briggs, Goran, and Dalton is fun and flirty and interrupted twice, once by a woman who is more than a little tipsy, and once by Grace.
One of the most confusing things for Khloe is her attraction to all four of these men. They are able to persuade her that it is the way they would prefer it to be and she doesn’t have to choose between them.
I love all these characters, the slow, steady progression of each relationship, the warmth and caring, and yes, the love that is just a bit different depending on who you are talking about.
Many interesting revelations, along with wit, fun, kindle melting heat and some danger as Khloe learns about her men and who she really is.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this trilogy!
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
How was Khloe to know that an accident would change her life ?
First she meet Riley, gorgeous Riley
Which lead to Briggs, Goran, and Dalton.
What is a girl to do with so much hunk of men ?
You will have to read the book to find out.
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Queenmaker (Heart of the Nebula Book 1) Kindle Edition
by Heather Long (Author), Rebecca Royce (Author)
I received an eARC from the authors and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is actually my favorite book for this year!
Khloe Rumbold (yeah, that’s my name!) has just cut out her boyfriend of many years from her life when she nearly runs into a truck. This brings her into contact with four mighty alien heroes who have come to Earth to find her. She is a princess, and she is needed to take the throne. And that is just the beginning of the story!
Rebecca Royce’s talents with world building and character creation never ceases to amaze me. Those talents are showcased in the men and the side characters who may only be seen once or twice, but their impact winds through the story.
Ms. Long’s ability to set romantic smexy time without vulgarities is on display as well.
I truly am in love with the characters, particularly the four guys and of them, Reese completely stole my heart. They all gallant, chivalrous and sweet. These guys may be in it for her, but they aren’t doormats. They remind me of Christine Feehan’s original Carpathians.
This is truly a series and a writing team to watch!
5 stars out of 5

Oh. My. Gosh!!! I absolutely loved this book. This is one of those books where you just know from the start you’ll love it. The main character is so likable and relatable. The guys, *sigh, the guys. They are the best group of guys I’ve read about in a while. They are so kind, caring, respectful, protective, generous, and damn adorable in so many ways. The ending is a bit of a cliffhanger, but I’m someone who doesn’t mind a cliffhanger. But, let me tell you, I’m all in with this one and hope that book two is here quickly.
This was an interesting story and I enjoyed the plot. The mc was easy to like and was funny. The guys each had their own personality. The romance was hot. I look forward to the next book.
