Travis Thompson’s past haunts him. When an assignment went bad, fate was a cruel beast and took the man he thought he’d spend forever with. Now he has to live with the guilt that he couldn’t save the man he loved. A year later, when their team loses another member, he’s finished and knows it’s time to move on. But where does that leave him?Alejandro Lopez has been hardened by life. He lost his … lost his family because of who he is, and he’s never fully been able to accept that. He’s used that resentment toward his parents to ensure he’s succeeded at everything he’s done since. But the only thing he’s failed at is love. He can’t seem to get that right.
Can a man with guilt that runs so deep it shuts him down at times ever let another in? Can a man that can’t quite let someone in for fear of rejection be the one to heal him?

While each book will focus on a different couple, you should read them in order for the most enjoyment. Healing My Amorby Taylor Rylan is the sixth book in the Sulfur Springs series. This wonderful book is well written and emotional…. with drama, sweetness and heat. I love the storyline and the characters are fantastic together. I loved this!
Michael Dean’s narration is fantastic – full of personality and emotion. I felt like the story shined. Great voicework and recording only adds to the entertainment of story.
Spectacular addition to this wonderful series. This story will definitely take you on an emotional roller coaster as it shatters your heart and then puts it back together with these two wonderful men. Travis and Alejandro both carry things from their past that makes them very weary to trust. Their attraction and chemistry are undeniable and as they slowly give in to their feelings, it’s a wonderful journey to follow them on. This may just be my favorite one so far in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the connection between Travis and Alejandro. Wow, what Travis had been through in his short 28 years was heartbreaking. I loved how supportive Alejandro was of what Travis had been through and even before knowing what had happened he could see by just looking in his eyes that they were broken so he offered friendship to start with but would like more if Travis could eventually offer it but would be happy to just be friends if that was all they could ever be. It was great how upfront Travis was that even though he found Alejandro hot, he couldn’t offer anything romantic right then since he had a lot of stuff to work through and may never get to a place that he was ready for a relationship but would definitely try. There was no leading on. I loved how the characters were so open about talking about their feelings and getting help when needed and that there is no shame in seeking it. I loved how Alejandro slowly started getting to know his partner Kirk and started letting him in a bit, I think they both need each other, Kirk needs somewhere to belong since he’s was a foster kid and since Alejandro’s family disowned him he’s found it hard to trust, but you have to be able to trust your partner especially because you may be in life or death situations. They were slowly becoming friends instead of just work partners. I loved how supportive Travis’s family are, even if they get on his nerves all the time, especially it’s way worse since he’s the baby of the family but they all love each other so much. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
Healing My Armor is the sixth book in the Sulfur Springs series and it was kind of a wild ride with an over-the-top plot and characters. There was nothing based on reality in this book, so I’m just going to leave that part of the plot alone. I had a hard time suspending my disbelief because everything was just so B-movie Hollywood. However, the actually romance and character development between the main characters was really nice and enjoyable.
I Have loved this series on Audio, but sadly I have now caught up and will have to continue by actually reading the books.
Travis has a lot of trauma in his past that he can’t seem to get past, but then Alex comes into his life, but it’s not enough to get past his hurt.
Great story and again I love this series.
A must read.
I will say that I wasn’t the biggest fan of Travis after the way things played out in the Crooked Bend series. But, I knew that there was something that wasn’t brought to light yet when it came to him. And well this was the chance for the readers to finally see what it was about him that made him the way that he was. Once this side of his story was revealed there was now a need to comfort him, more than smack him. So that was a change.
Then walks in Alejandro and now Travis’s life was about to be tilted on its axis, but in a way that was needed. Alejandro didn’t come without his own baggage that could make anyone not want to trust someone with their heart. But, it was the patience that Alejandro possessed that made it so that Travis was able to heal enough to give another person a chance.
This story was definitely a more emotional one in this series. These characters were ones that each came with issues that took the other to help heal. I loved every moment of this story and can see that there is going to be re-reads in the future.
I loved everything about Travis and Alex from the very start! Two awesome characters with plenty of friends, a good plot and a very interesting look at trauma. Very good read! Can’t wait for the next adventure in Sulphur Springs!
I liked seeing characters from previous books. This book was good, but Disarming my Destiny will always be my favorite in the Sulphur Springs Series.
Oh wow! This book blew me away. I was so unprepared for the roller coaster of emotions that appeared out of nowhere in this story. Travis trying to overcome much of his past, and Alejandro wanting to be that person he can talk to is so sweet! The flashback scenes were so intense and fully of emotions. I really grew to love these guys and am so happy they found their HEA! Once again, another amazing book by Taylor Rylan!
Let start by saying, before reading this grab some tissue. This one is an epic journey for two individuals who come together and make each other stronger. It will hit all the feels. This one somehow seems more true to life and authentic than a lot of books out there right now. This author never fails to keep real. I read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I absolutely loved this latest book in the Sulfur Springs series. Travis and Alejandro separately have been through a lot of things in their past that has shaped them forever. Travis holds so much guilt and regret over things that he feels that he could of prevented but it was out of his hands. Alejandro rejected by his family for who he loved was afraid to let his guard down and let someone in due to fear of being rejected. When they meet they can’t deny the attraction that brews between them but they take their time and once they give into the chemistry….lord have mercy did the spark ever burn bright and dang hot too!! They were so good for each other…giving what each other needed to heal and move forward together. This by far is my favorite book by this author and I would highly recommend it to all. I can’t wait for the next book in this amazing series to be here….well done!!!
