They had something rare together. It was proven when he finally made it to town. Her brother didn’t kill him right away. Good sign that you have passed the test. She actually calmed him down when needed. He needed someone that could deal with all of his issues and their own. She clearly fit that description.

Captivating, relationship between friends and family romance story. The characters are complex and intriguing. The well-written book kept my attention throughout, enjoyed reading. I have voluntarily chosen to read and review this book.
This is the 3rd book I’ve read written by Josie Kerr; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Excellent book two of this series! Gunny and Lindsay have hurdles from their past. Can they make it to a HEA? Entertaining and enjoyable read!

This is my first book of the series. I definitely felt like I was missing out on a lot of major background things.
But, regardless of those things, the standalone story was very enjoyable. Action and romance. The building of relationships and family. Many twists and turns and surprises.
Has adult scenes.

Sometimes a moment in time is just that.
Sometimes another chance pops up.
Some things are really worth fighting for – even when friends and family try to be well meaning and involve themselves in foolish or unnecessary ways.
For fans of survivor and love stories

Favorite Quotes:
I don’t think I can deal with people today. They’re too . . . people-y.
“Big question here, Lindsay—like, the most important one of all.” Her breath caught in her chest. “Okay. Ask me.” “Pickle-juice snow cones—yes or no?”
My Review:
This story had my Kindle melting with a sizzling first chapter that required a bump up in the air conditioning and a pause to catch my breath. Both main characters started off in transition, turning a corner, and looking for a fresh start; which they both deserved and strived to achieve. The premise was fresh, the writing captured and held my curiosity and attention, and the characters squeezed and absconded with my heart. I’m already feeling a bit impatient for the next installment.
Another wonderful read by Josie Kerr! Ben and Lindsey have a chance encounter and part without any details of each other…and then reconnect! (no spoilers in this review)
I loved their HEA, and how the author doesn’t add silly obstacles that could be solved with basic communication skills. Josie Kerr is such a refreshing author for this very reason! Her characters are well developed, layered and so real, I always feel so attached by the end of the book.
Looking forward to the next book in the series already!
I really did enjoy Ben and Lindsey’s story these two meet and the attraction between them is immediate and off the charts, after spending an amazing few days together they part ways but neither forgets the other so imagine Ben’s shock when he leaves the military and starts working with his teammates that he finds out she is his friends, little sister. This is the second book in the series and they are better if read in order
Ben and Lindsey have a hot few nights together and go their separate ways but Ben can not get her out of his mind so when he leaves the military and goes to Atlanta to help his ex military friends renovate homes he runs into Lindsey who is a sister to one of his friends. Lindsey has run back home after her life fell apart but she never thought she would see Ben again but she is glad she did. Will Ben and Lindsey pick up where they left off?

Ben and Lindsey met in a bar and had a beautiful three nights together when she slipped away. He imagined her in his head and all of the what ifs. What he didn’t expect was for her to be the little sister of one of his teammates from the Marines. Lindsey is trying to piece her life back together after being falsely accused of theft. In the end she is reacquainted with Ben who knew from the start that she was the missing part of his life. Will they be able to have their happily ever after given all the turmoil both have endured not to mention all the drama that keeps cropping up around them.
