It is recommended that you read “Heaven Hill Generations” before starting this series, or you will be spoiled and lost!Christine SteeleI stood by as my husband become a person I didn’t recognize any longer. I watched as he betrayed his club. Now I’m trying to figure out how to move on, how to live my life, still love myself, and allow my family to love me.I’ve been broken before, but this time I’m … been broken before, but this time I’m not sure anyone can put those pieces back together.

These short stories are kicking my butt and breaking my heart because I NEED MORE! Christine and Stephen need a full story pronto, there was so much emotion packed into this novella, loved it.
“I Voluntarily Received and Reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book”
I wasn’t prepared for the story, I knew it would be emotionally draining but it still threw me for a loop. Christine is still dealing with the fallout of what happens in Fury. The consequences of her husband is turning on the MC is heartbreaking for her and with the children of the MC had to go through is just devastating. But this book and on a note of hope and rebirth. I can’t wait to continue reading more of the Heaven Hill shorts!!!
Christine’s entire world has been flipped on its head with the recent events and she is definitely struggling. My heart breaks for her and I want her to be able to move on. With this glimpse at her life now, we see the beginnings of a new life for her.
Laramie Briscoe did a great job with this short story. However, you will need to have the tissues handy. I can’t wait to see more of Christine in the future to catch up.
This was the read I was waiting for. I was dying to hear how Christine was doing after the mess that happened. She is such a strong woman i can’t wait for her to get her hea!
Please note that you do need to read “Fury” before reading “Christine”. Now to my thoughts and oh boy, I don’t know how Laramie Briscoe does it but that lady can sure write a story that grips you, holds you and refused to let you go until it is done telling it’s story. Plus this is a short story, it is not easy to write a short story that will engaged the reader but “Christine” did that and much more.
If you’ve read Fury, you know that Christine’s husband died as a traitor in that book. This short story deals with Christine’s psyche, on what happened to her and the burden of guilt that she carries. Due to her feeling of great guilt, Christine separates herself from her friends and she’s under tremendous stress and unresolved issues. The MC and her friends have her back but Christine just couldn’t opened herself to them.
My heart breaks for her and boy did I cry so hard at one of the chapters, you will know which one when you read the book. By the end of the book, I feel relieved, happy and hopeful and I cannot wait to see where Laramie Briscoe will take me. I very highly recommend this series!
You need to read the Heaven Hill series to understand where this book is coming from. This book adds another piece to the puzzle of how everyone was affected by the previous incident. Can’t wait for the next short story to put more pieces to how everyone is moving on.
I so needed Christine’s story after everything that happened with Travis. I feel soooo much better after getting to read her story and how she’s doing with afterwards. I loved Chapter 5 and cried like a baby- I probably reread it at least 5 times because it was that moving.
“Fly like the beautiful bird you are, don’t let anyone or anything cage you.”
Oh Christine! My heart hurts for you. I can’t wait for her to get a HEA. Laramie did a beautiful job with Christine’s short story. I am loving the short story’s.
Forgiveness and letting go of guilt is the center of this Heaven Hill story. Christine was on the wrong end of terrible situation and feels extreme guilt and responsibility for things she had no control over. She can’t get past it and it’s stifling her life. When she has a life-changing encounter, things start to change. Laramie’s stories are always wholesome and grounded and this one is no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next chapter in this ongoing saga of healing and recovery.
Christine takes us on an emotional ride with her trying to put her life back together after everything that happened in Fury. The glimpse into the guilt and blame she was dealing with was so well written. I definitely am looking forward to the next book in this amazing series. Thank you Laramie Briscoe for letting us read what Christine went through and how she is working to come out on the other side. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
In the aftermath of a betrayal, Christine is stuck trying to find her place in the new dynamic. She never thought that her husband would betray the ones closest to him. Now after its all said and done she’s left to pick up the pieces. I love that these shorts show how the actions of one person has affected everyone closest to them. If you haven’t read Fury then you need to or everything will be spoiled.
OHHH I just love these shorts. These chapters fill in the gaps and let us know what is happening with the secondary characters. As the title suggests this is Christine’s story. She is struggling to move forward since the betrayal and resulting death of her husband, Travis. The guilt of not telling anyone Travis was having problems is weighing her down, months later. She doesn’t feel like she fits in anywhere even though the club has welcomed her with open arms and still considers her family. A man that won’t give up and a dream that is as romantic as they come help us to see Christine and Travis in a whole new light but will they help Christine.
Great Read that I highly recommend. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars.
Christine is struggling in the aftermath. She can’t let go of her guilt and blames herself for not preventing all of the hurt inflicted on the club. A financial issue forces her to bring the club back into her life. That decision along with the friendship from someone special lead her to make changes to her life.
It’s an emotional story, heartbreaking yet heartwarming as she is putting the pieces back together .
Christine is the 2nd novella in the Heaven Hill Shorts. It should be read after Heaven Hill Generations.
These shorts by Laramie Briscoe are flipping brilliant! They take us on a journey with each character, pulling us into their heart and mind. I couldn’t stop myself from opening this story up the moment I acquired it and didn’t move until I finished. One chapter wrecked me, I dare anyone to read it and feel nothing! Emotional and mesmerizing, Christine’s story was cathartic. Christine’s journey is hard but she is on the right path and I cannot wait to see where this series is going to go from here.
Oh Boy!!! I wasn’t prepared for this one. Again Laramie has written a beautiful story. My heart broke for Christine in the aftermath of Fury. She is trying to live her life again after everything Travis did. I won’t lie I cried like a baby, but it was perfect. GAHH I can’t wait for everyone to read this one. Laramie you are amazing, keep doing what your doing because its freakin brilliant.
