From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author M. Robinson, a coming of age, enemies to lovers, contemporary romance filled with angst and all the feels. I couldn’t remember a time before her… Harley Jameson. Before she owned me.Hated Me.Needed me.Before I hated her…
Bully. Fight. Hate. It’s what we did.
Mind. Body. Soul. It’s how we loved.
I thought nothing would ever change that, until everything did.
She was mine.
Always had been.
Always would be.
Nothing altered that.
Not how much I hated her.
Not how much she hated me.
Especially, not how much I hated…
That I LOVED her.

If you loved the Jameson brothers, you are in for a treat as the story of Harley is coming and you don’t want to miss it! And honestly it’s so very great to re-visit and have some more Creed 🙂 It was a heartbreaking read that will have your emotions running all over and leave you wanting so much more at the end… Can’t wait to read the next chapter in this duet series!
Harley and Jackson have known each other since they were born and have been in each other lives for as long as they can remember. But they just don’t get along and hate each other every step of the way. Both of their families don’t know what to do anymore as both Harley and Jackson never back down when there’s another altercation between them. But when tragedy strikes, it’ll become harder for them to ignore what’s happening. There’s a thin line between love and hate and the older they get, the more things are about to change. But as Jackson keeps on pushing Harley to her limits, will he push her too far this time and lose more than he thought possible?…
Jackson and Harley’s story is one of my most anticipated reads this year because I fell in love with their antics in the Pierced Hearts duet. But still, I wasn’t prepared for their story.
Can your heart be broken twice? Yes!
Can it be broken from reading a semi premise back-story that you already know? Definitely yes!!!!
And M. Robinson in her own angsty flare does it again.
I know the back-story of Jackson from the Pierced Hearts duet, I know the heartache I will be walking into, but still reading it from his perspective had a different and bigger impact than I was prepared for. I felt his pain, I wept when he did and I totally understood and sympathised with why he did the things that he did, said what he said.
But M just didn’t give us all angst this time. She had me breaking into an uproar and cringing with disgust with the pranks that Jackson and Harley pulled on each other. Their funny reliefs helped break the heartbreak that is most of this story. And even through all the hatred for one another, M developed an undertone of love between these two young people that was heartwarming to see.
Harley is adorable. She is a perfect blend of Mia and Creed with her sass and not give an F attitude. She is the comic relief to Jackson’s hidden anguish. She is the light to his darkness. She gets him and he gets her. They are lobsters. But I know their journey to ever after will have more thrones in the way. I just hope I will be able to survive that journey when book two (which I am dreadingly anticipating) comes out.
And on a happy note. This book does signal the sequel to the Good Ol’ Boys second-gen – the Good Ol’ Kids. I was happy to meet some of my old fav characters and hope to see more of them in the upcoming books.
If you are an M. Robinson fan, then this book is a must-read for you. It can also be read as a standalone, but reading the Pierced Heart duet will be preferable.
Gahhhh the angst queen has struck again! You’re killing me, Smalls! This book was epic. So many ups and downs. Just when you think there will be a breakthrough Jackson makes me want to throat punch him and does something horrible. Jackson and Harley are a couple for the record books. I love them but I will be honest and say I don’t know if I love them together. He’s mean. She’s sassy. And Creed will likely kill them both. So many emotions after I finished reading. I don’t know whether to scream or cry. Maybe both. Simply put…this book is great. Do not miss out!!
The “good ol kids” certainly did not disappoint and almost make their parents look like angels compared to their wrath and shenanigans lol!
Jackson and Harley certainly give their parents a run for their money. Seeing their story through a child’s vision, their pain and fears, never truly having a childhood because they endured more than their share. Their hearts exploding with feelings they couldn’t comprehend. And deep down, having feelings that scare them so much they couldn’t grasp the meaning. Jackson just melts the and Harley is that feisty heroine even now. She’s so much and I can only imagine what her role will be as she progresses in the next story.
From the beginning, these two fight, physically and strategically, to outdo the other. Nothing is off limits. The had me rolling from page one. And Harley is Creed’s daughter. Make no mistake there. And she knows how to use her powers. Both push and pull.
But their story is going to be so much more complex that I first anticipated. What’s it going to take to mend the bridge that connected them because Jackson didn’t just burn it, he blew it to kingdom come and I’ve no doubt Harley’s Will will be done.
And that ending, my heart didn’t just break, it shattered. Jackson shattered me along with Harley. I anxiously await, with my heart and tears, for Book 2.
