Grief can make us do crazy things……Like magic at 40.It was just research, my obsession with magic, my occult collection, the grimoire I sometimes feared opening.Until my dad died and I wanted him back. Now I can’t help but wonder, what if I used the grimoire for more than stories? What if I cast a spell? What if I raised my father from the dead?Because I wasn’t ready to let him go. I wasn’t … the dead?
Because I wasn’t ready to let him go. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye.
But all magic comes with a cost, and I’d just written a check I couldn’t cash. Especially when a collector with fangs shows up at my door and opens up the whole supernatural world with one knock.
If I don’t answer, this will all be in vain. But if I do, what awaits me on the other side might be a fate worse than death…dad’s and mine.
Zero Hour is the prequel to Once Bitten.

Zero Hour by Tina Glasneck is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number one a Prequel in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have fallen in love with. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about vampires, dark magic, fantasy and horror.

I’ve read each well-written and fantabulous book in this series, but Zero Hour is the first I’ve listened to. The narrator brought Leslie and Gran to life! The others, too. Claudine, her sister, is so hilarious (Wait until Once Bitten; she’s even more hilarious!)! But, to the point of the story: Zero Hour is a perfect prequel leading to the events that happen in Once Bitten. Rogue vampires run amok on the streets of NYC. Leslie’s eyes will be opened to whole new world of supernatural magic and mayhem.
There’s mythical magic, kick-butt action, and everything in between! I can’t say much without giving spoilers. Let’s just say you’re in for a wild ride!
I highly recommend! Five stars!
Zero Hour is the Prequel to the Order Of The Dragon series by Tina Glasneck. This is a unique story line in that Leslie, a writer, dabbles in dark magic to have a few minutes to spend with her recently deceased father using a grimoire she found. She has no idea the creature she summoned. Jillian, a member of the Order Of The Dragon, has been sent to New York to find who has opened the grimoire and secure it. He arrives in time to save Leslie. The world building is superb and the character development is exceptional. I found my attention grabbed from the beginning and I continued to turn pages to the end. This is a great start to a new series which I recommend. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.
I really loved this prequel!! It had just the right amount of ooohhh and aaahhhs. It was really interesting with vamps wolves, ghost and seers. Also goddesses. It was very interesting how the author fit everything in the paranormal world with mythology. It was great short read and just a tiny bit sad but not to much. The fights and all make up the excitement in the book.
This story starts out with action. It is a quick read to give us background on our characters. Leslie is a lost soul due to a death of a loved one. She is looking for a moment more that leads to action throughout the entire story. It was extremely well written and the characters are beautifully developed. It gives us insight as to what comes next. The characters personalities are strong and felt throughout the story. The flow to the story is superb and draws you in. It wets you’re appetite for what is to come throughout the series. It is a quick must read!
This is the prequel for the Order of the Dragon series. Fueled by her desire to contact her departed father, Leslie attempts to bridge the worlds of the living and the dead. Her attempts, unleash a power she doesn’t fully comprehend. Killian is dispatched by the Order of the Dragon to forestall the dark dangerous power. An interesting start to the new series.
A short and fast to read story, that serves as a prequel and sets the background for the “Order of the Dragon” series. An interesting mix of mythology and the supernatural, it wetted my appetite for more. Can’t wait for the first book in the series!

This is a quick prequel. We’re introduced to Leslie and the dark magic she unknowingly unleashes. Looking forward to reading the series.

This is a well-written (as usual for the author) story that is the prequel for Once Bitten and as such, tells the beginnings and reasons for the series. It does kind of leave you at the end if you have not read the series previously, but it was good for me since I do know the series.

It was a good way to learn more about the back story of the characters we met in Once Bitten.
The story and the style were great as expected.
It was an enjoyable experience!

Wow, you can feel the power and the chemistry at work, in the words of this book. Killian and Leslie are setting the atmosphere on fire.
This is not the first time I’ve ever read anything from Tina. And after reading this book, I’m looking forward to what comes up next.

Overall rating: 4.4
This is a prequel to the book Once bitten. It was great finding out the beginnings for Leslie as well as Killian. Missing a loved one that has passed and wanting just one more day with them is a part of grief, but trying to get that moment supernaturally can lead to dire situations. Great writing, with great characters. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
I really enjoyed having this opportunity to see how Leslie ends up in the state she’s in by the time Once Bitten opens. Having already read Once Bitten, I kind of had an idea of who all these characters were when the story started, and I think that enhanced my pleasure. I’m loving that we get this chance to learn more about Freya’s dragons from a different perspective and I can’t wait to discover more.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
Audiobook Review:
Overall – 4
Performance – 5
Story – 3
Just OK for me.
This is the first book I’ve read by Tina Glasneck. I listened to the audiobook performed by Liz Brand and as far as I know it’s the first one of hers for me, too.
I’m actually really glad that I listened to this instead of reading it. This type of story isn’t something that I’d usually read but Tina Glasneck will be a featured author during the 2021 virtual Coastal Magic Convention and I’m trying to read a book by each of the featured authors.
I really enjoyed Liz Brand’s performance – and it was a performance, she didn’t just narrate the story. I must confess that I really didn’t get too much out of the story (like I said, it’s not really something I’d normally read) but I’m glad that I got to experience Liz Brand’s performance. I’m really picky about female narrators and she did a great job and I would definitely listen to more books that she performs.
