When I first meet Samantha Russo, a former FBI analyst, I can’t decide if she’s brilliant or clueless. Regardless, after one night, I want more… A private eye in Manhattan? You’ve got to be kidding me. To keep her five-year-plan at bay, I recommended Sam to my boss at Patten Securities. Don’t get me wrong. I respect she’s got plenty of attitude. I especially hold her Uncle Vinny, a mob boss, in … Uncle Vinny, a mob boss, in high esteem. Both he and her police-chief father explain how I should book my own funeral if I mess with her. Not much for authority, I thank them for their concern. However, she’s mine and I plan on keeping her. When she goes missing, at first I figure she’s miffed. Yeah, I may not always take her career as seriously as she’d like. But hell, didn’t I help her solve the missing-cat-caper? That should count for something, right? When she doesn’t answer my texts, I check with her family and my stupid heart stops. What the hell? She’s gone missing. Suds and Sam will make you laugh and yet keep you turning one more page all night long.Grab your copy now. Note: Beware of healthy, passionate, panty-melting scenes. No cliffhangers. Happy ending guaranteed.more
I loved it !! Samantha Russo, exFBI analyst, is the new member to the Patten Securities Team. Sam has a 5yr plan..opening her Private Detective business is part of it. Sam is Sebastian ‘Suds’ Sutcliff’s love interest. Sam’s father is Police Chief Michael Russo and her uncle, Vincent ‘Vinny’ Vitale, Mob Boss. Sam and Suds make a great couple. They have great chemistry. She wants to prove she can do it on her own. He just wants to keep her safe and alive.
The storyline is filled with suspense, heat, sex, humor, action, and plenty of twists and turns that kept me reading to the very last word.
I received an arc of this book and this is my own personal opinion.
If you are looking for a book that can offer you an engaging blend of humor, mystery, action, heat and heart, you can stop looking because you just found it. I liked this book so very much. The sizzling chemistry and snappy banter made Sam and Suds not only a likable couple but I thought a very memorable one. It was super easy to get pulled into this story and the world it takes place in.
A entertaining cast of secondary characters, family ties to both the mob and the cops and lots of madcap charm will have you fully under this books spell and in absolutely no hurry to escape. This is my honest, voluntary review.
I was totally engaged from the very beginning with the great character and storyline development that kept me turning the pages until the very last page!
Yet again stella Marie Alden doesn’t disappoint with this next chapter in the boys from patten securities. Suds and Sam have an unique dynamic, which only gets better as the story unfolds. I love the antics of the three girls trying as they might to stave off their uncle vinny’s involvement in their lives. While Sam struggles to get support for her new business venture. Great read can’t wait for more.
ARC review For honest review. Samantha Russo has a family you don’t want to mess with but she wants a to become a private detective after working as a analysis for the FBI . Having a ex that’s harassing her she meets Sebastian sutcliff (suds) of Patten security . Awesome story I love her independent personality
It’s true, it does read like a Stephanie Plum novel. The mix of characters is eclectic, a chief of police for a father, a mob boss for an uncle, an Italian salon run by her aunt, and then the cousins! Hilarious. The banter is amazing between them all. The POV from Suds is quite good as well. Dates with Skinny Stevie and Petey in exchange for rent, nuff said, but no kissing … names for when they have sex, totally awesome!
The sex scenes are hot as well with Sebastian and Sam. Real issues are also dealt with and it was an enjoyable read and it went by too fast. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I received this advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review.
