I wish that the story was flushed out better. Nicole is given an opportunity be in charge of a business but she barely does any work at all throughout the whole book. She went in for a few minutes and then troubles ensues and she just panics and worry and comes up with these ridicules scheme, which of course are illegal. Also, I have nothing against lots of sex. I read romance so I expect sex, the more the better. I just felt like she was sex crazed or that she has been without it for so long and she just wants to have sex all the time. The supposed hero, or more like anti-hero, there’s not much to like about him. He’s a smart guy I guess but other than that, he spends most of the book working the heroine into a sexual fever and working to undermine her position in the business.
Overall, I enjoyed it for what it was. It has potential. Just don’t expect more out of it and you will be fine. Otherwise, skip this book.
The story was interesting and I enjoyed it. The narrator speaks a little slow for me but speeding it up to 1.25x works to fix that for me.
Nicole and Stetson have an interesting dynamic. The story was somewhat unrealistic but that is fiction for you. There was lots of steam and a good story to go along with it.
This is a very sexy book. I loved the storyline, the passion is a very large part of this book. I felt the chemistry between Stetson and Nicole is very strong. Portions of the book were a little too much for me, but then my kids consider me a prude. Enjoyed it nonetheless. I will definitely read the next book.
Great Story & Narration Intriguing & SmokingHot!
Nicole
Wainwright Diamonds, Book 1
By: Cerise Dalton, Quinn Slater
Narrated by: Tracey Mycroft
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is well written with interesting storylines and characters that are smoking hot. I adored the lead character Nicole she is smart, cunning and has a great inner strength, she is not afraid to go after what she want and is willing to fight for it. While at a convention billionaire Axon Wainwright offers her a job of a lifetime, the CEO position of Wainwright Diamonds. There is only one problem, well actually two and that would be Wainwright’s sons, Alexander and Stetson. She had already met Stetson but did not know he was a Wainwright at the time. A lot goes on in this fast paced story, it is all well plotted and there is never a dull moment, with plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some twists and turns, a bit of thrilling suspense and lot of hot smoking hot kink. I liked how Nicole handled everything called in reinforcements, her bestie and Amanda, Axon’s girlfriend. I am looking forward to what comes happens next for Nicole and the rest of the characters in the 2nd book. Thank you Cerise Dalton/Quinn Slater for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Tracey Mycroft is an awesome narrator and voice artist. She does a great job portraying the characters and bringing them to life. She gives each character their own voice and personality making it easy to follow who is who as the story goes on. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work as captures and projects the character’s emotions into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen
Hot, so hot!!! I need a Stetson like that in my life. Not a billionaire but a man with the sexiness of Stetson. Meow.
I loved Nicole. She was headstrong, smart and allowed herself to open up to things outside of the norm.
Again, Quinn does not disappoint with sexiness of a story. Wow.
