First and foremost, I would like to thank Ms. Rylee Swann, not only for being an amazing Author, (which you most certainly are), but for this incredible release. To me, you have used your platform to address such a heartfelt and terrible addiction / disease and draw attention to it. Not only what the person, themselves, endure but the people who love them as well (& their pain).
Congratulations on your overall amazingness.
I try, immensely hard, never to give away any part of the plot, so that I do not ruin it for reader’s, however, that will be hard with this publication. As always, I will do my best.
This incredible release centers around Jayson and December, AKA Dee, and the many challenges / difficulties they face. They were together and then forced apart. After 10 years, he is now back in her life. I encourage all fans of superbly crafted romance to follow along as these to break your heart and then mend it together against seamlessly.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader’s copy of Long Distance Lover in exchange for my honest & voluntarily given opinion. I truly do recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Swann.
Absolutely Beautiful Release. Long Distance Lover is hands down my favorite release of Ms. Swann.
A second chance romance read that will have you emotional invested from the start. Jayson and December’s romance story was heartbreaking to read, you can feel the emotions of the characters as they try to overcome the struggle of loving someone with a personal problem. I enjoyed the storyline and the heat level that made for some delicious hot loving. A definite must read that will give you the feels of a good romance story.
This is a second chance romance read that right from
the start I couldn’t put it down.
Very well developed and interesting plot that was emotional
at times.
The chemistry between the characters is interesting and believable.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Long Distance Lover By Rylee Swann is a well written second chance romance with great characters, a great storyline, a strong chemistry, sexy scenes and a HEA. One click it and follow Dee and Jayson as they muddle through a bumpy journey.
I recommend this book and author.
I have voluntarily read and reviewed this advanced readers copy
I love a hot romance yet…..when you add in a story that relays real life issues it can be all the more endearing.
The author has shared an intense love story that ends and picks up years later. A second chance romance.
She goes on to flourish us with details from start to finish. What happened to cause the original break up and what leads to them meeting up again. The people they are and were along with the journey and emotions it takes to deal with all that happens.
When we learn of Jayson’s addiction, he was young with issues he obviously was having trouble dealing with. No matter his feelings for December it takes strength to push past somethings.
December is a bit older and knows what she is looking in for life and having to decide which path to follow it’s a hard decision to make.
I thoroughly enjoyed this romance that in the end is worth all the emotions I went through reading it.
Rylee Swann gave us a story that was heartfelt and beautiful. The details and emotions she put into finding the perfect way to allow our brains to understand this relationship and all that went into it will linger with me for a long time. To articulate my thoughts and feelings into a A+++ review is difficult so I will end this saying that I have no higher praise than telling you the reader how much I recommend this book and I plan on sharing it with anyone who I can.
Ms. Swann did a great job portraying an alcoholic and what happens between people dealing with this. This story starts out with Jayson, a 27 year old and an alcoholic and substance abuser, who is 7 years younger than December, the female lead. There are some flashbacks as there is a 10 year span so you can get the backstory with these two. Some of this is a little hard to read as I could sympathize with December and what she has to deal with while staying with Jayson. I also sympathize with Jayson as he tries to turn his life around and get back the only woman he’s ever loved.
There is so much going on here and you feel so many emotions while reading. I agree with another reviewer that said she felt disappointed and then hopeful at one point in this book. I received an advance copy of this book from the author and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I admire every author for all their hard work. I enjoyed the story, and will read more books written by this author. The characters are adorable and the story telling is consuming. I escaped in a well-written romantic fictional world until I finished reading.
A second chance romance that tells a story of heartbreak, angst, love and pain, fate and circumstances, forgiveness and hope, and how true love can survive obstacles and make you stronger. This edge-of-your seat story has a great storyline and strong characters, so many emotions, and of course a HEA.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Rylee Swann wrote a touching story of a hero who had/has to overcome alcoholism (the fight never stops) and a heroin who has to overcome past heart breaks and fears. One crucial scene in the book disappointed me so much. I wanted to slap Jayson on the back of his head. But both struggles were real. Jayson and Dee have a sweet HEA.
Wow…good read. A hard subject to write about, but nicely done.
Jayson is such a tortured soul. He works hard to get his life together. But now he’s lots the only woman he’s ever loved. In a grand gesture, he leaves his old life behind to go in search of his soulmate.
December was devastated when things didn’t work out with Jayson. 10 years later, she is still trying to get him out of her head. She is terrified of putting her heart on the line again.
This is a
romantic struggle between a stormy past and an uncertain future. I laughed, cried, got butterflies, felt disappointed and then hopeful again. A great emotional story. Best book from Rylee Swann I’ve read.
Getting a second chance after cleaning up his life
Jayson is ten years older than Dee but they were in love. Until his alcohol abuse broke them apart. She left to try and move on with her life but can’t get him out of her head and heart years later. He realizes that he has to change his life and clean it up if he wants to get her back. He works hard and goes to find her to give him a second chance. But when he does she’s afraid to open her heart again and get it broken. Will he convince her to give him another chance? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

A Love that Heals
Long Distance Lover by Rylee Swann is a beautifully written, sensitive love story that shares the interactions of two broken souls needing to individually heal before they can heal their relationship. Meeting for a second time after a 10-year-separation which has been filled with self-reflection, hurt, grief and regrets, December (Dee) Jagger and Jayson Fox find themselves thrown back together when Dee’s best friend’s son is arrested for possession and use of marijuana as a minor. Jayson, during the last 10 years, has gotten clean of his own alcohol and drug addictions, the source of the couple’s initial break up, and has committed himself to become a man worthy of his soulmate’s love. Now, Jayson, a certified addiction counselor recently employed in the small Upstate New York area where Dee relocated after their breakup, has the opportunity provided by destiny to prove that he is a better man—a stronger man, than he was in the past. Ms. Swann allows the reader to follow the journey of the second-chance lovers as they find themselves and each other through their willingness to be open and to admit their own weaknesses—and strengths.
Long Distance Lover is a powerful story of individual strength and the power of love to forgive and to heal. It is a novel of hope and second chances with sensuous and passionate moments that both satisfies and encourages.
