My name is Salem Pryde, but you can call me Sarah Pryce.I collect secrets and sometimes, I keep them.I could be a demon or an angel, depending on whose story I believe.Colson’s Corner is a delightful town. Tucked in the wilderness of the Sierra Nevada mountains, it’s full of naïve, gullible, and friendly victims—er, I mean residents who still believe in being neighborly and kind, go to church, … go to church, and leave their doors unlocked.
I’ll fit right in. By day, I volunteer at the church and sing songs to the preschool kids. I carry my Bible and play the part.
By night, I collect secrets—especially from the men.
They’re such easy fools, and they’ll never tell if I pick their pockets. There’s one, though, who I don’t want to fool.
But I have to, or he’ll tie me down and put me behind bars.
And that just won’t do.
I’m Scott Colson, fire chief of Colson’s Corner.
I have a hard-enough job with house fires and campfire accidents without arsonists blowing up remote cabins and trailers high in the hills.
The fire season is one nonstop wall of flames, smoke, and soot, and I live a lonesome life at my creek side cabin deep in the woods.
That is, until the day I meet a fairy wearing denim shorts and work boots, wielding a fire axe and digging a fire line around my place.
I’m completely captivated, especially when she flits in and out of my bed and puts out my late-night fires.
She won’t tell me a thing about her, not even her name, but she promises to stay around, and that’s good enough for me.
Until she’s gone, leaving nothing but a bloody dress and a black book of people, places, and prices.
Note: This book ends with a wicked cliffhanger. Watch for Salem’s mystery to continue in Linx and Grady’s romance, Taking Me Back, Desiring Danger #2.

Read Love Will Stay straight through!
I read the next book in the series before this one, so I already had a little background about these characters before reading. However, it was awesome to get this story from their viewpoint and see just why Salem did the things she did and really understand her on a whole new level. Scott is such a good man too. He has his flaws (just like Salem) but he has a lot of love to give. I’m so bummed out about not knowing the end yet, and I can’t wait to read more from these guys. I love them so much!
Really, I recommend any books from this author. I love the Hart family, the Colesons, Christmas Creek, and a great many of her other titles. There are very few times I pick up one of her books that I don’t read it straight through to the end. Another must read!
This is book one in the series
WARNiNG: does end in a cliffhanger and the main couple’s story will span this series so if cliffhangers aren’t your thing, it’s best you not read… though your missing a good story.
I loved the unique characters here. Salem is very unusual and definitely not your typical heroine. I’m not sure there is any hero’s in this first book. It’s a good introduction to lots of characters, an intriguing plot and some suspense.
The end really shocked me and left me wanting more!
I’m glad I bought this series so I can move right into the next!
Love Will Stay is a unique story that clings to you with its inky darkness and wraps you in its wings of hope spotted with a hint of madness. Even in its bouts of insanity, you can still see the smudged line between good and evil. At times, it is good at making you wish you could slide from one to the other at will and no reprisal, but when the briers and stickers of bad choices snag on your skin, you realize that having the best of both worlds is a true myth. We can only choose one or the other because being both will rip you into terribly jagged pieces which have no hope of ever being put back together properly.
Scott is one of many from a big family, and he feels the borders and boundaries that keep him and his siblings from having a closer relationship. There is love there, but there are also other things that want to take its place and keep them isolated. He truly loves his family, but he feels something missing. Not one to linger on his thoughts, he trudges through his life one day at a time until he is captured and seduced by a fairy creature of the forest. This creature storms into his life with heat and flames as she spins his life upside down in no time flat. No one could have anticipated the consequences least of all her. Now, lives hang in the balance, and above all, she will fight for what her heart desires most. Can Scott alter the course she is on, or will he find himself forever at her mercy and judgment?
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this latest book, but I know that I will never forget it. It’s beautiful intensity has held my heart captive, and I don’t see it every letting that go. The characters were fascinating, twisted, and incredible. This story has so much heart mixed in with vengeance and darkness that it made my head spin. I truly can’t wait to find out what happens next! This was one roller-coaster that I am impatiently waiting in line to board once again even though they scare me thoroughly. The delightful plot will twist your world and put a mask of cold blackness over your vision. It will color everything that follows and make you work to wonder about the intriguing characters you meet and their true purpose.
Rachelle Ayala has proven that she can truly write anything that her beautifully creative mind comes up with. There no nothing that she can’t do when it comes to her books. The sky, the work, and the universe is truly at her disposal. I would encourage you to indulge in this wonderfully creepy story, and dare to dream of anything and everything. If we don’t have our dreams, what do we have left?
