Around my neck lays a wedding ring.In my right hand I hold a hotel room key.Which one do I pick? The marriage? The key?Everything is not as it seems in room one-forty-three
Room 143 is a beautiful story of love, second chances and forgiving yourself. Nash had a great marriage. It wasn’t perfect but he loved his wife. But now she’s gone and Nash hasn’t been okay for a long time. A chance meeting with Caroline has him confronting feelings he thought were buried with his wife. Is he ready to move on? I loved Nash. Mostly because of how he loved Caroline. He made me believe that he is capable of loving two woman in his lifetime. He had a young first love and Caroline, his now love. He showed us he could love them differently but equally. Nash made sure Caroline never felt like she was a second choice and I loved that about him . It was an emotional story you won’t want to put down. Highly recommend.

In the blink of an eye Nash Gilbert lost everything he held dear, and for the last five years his loss has been haunting him and keeping him from finding the courage to move on. His family can see that he needs to move on, rejoin the living, and find happiness again… so they devise a little plan to help him find his happy again.
Nash has his doubts about their plan, but he has to admit they are just looking out for his best interests, so he decides to go along with the plan, which takes him to Room #143… where he finds far more than he ever bargained for!
This is a beautifully penned story about second chances, finding love after loss, and learning to let go. I absolutely adored these characters, neither of them were looking for love, but it found them and set them on a journey neither saw coming. Watching these two maneuver down this new path was good for the heart, with each encounter you could see the desire growing between them, as well as their care and love for one another. They had me swimming in feels and swoons!! Definitely a very satisfying first read for me, I highly recommend you get your hands on this one you will NOT be disappointed with what you find between the pages here!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

I so enjoyed reading this wonderfully written, unpredictable book. It kept me glued to the pages late into the night. This story flowed beautifully; it was sweet, romantic, angsty and, in my opinion, really just perfect.
This is a second chance romance but not between the same couple. We have Nash and Caroline who meet in room 143. Both come with baggage especially Nash and many times my heartstrings were tugged hard for this man and what he was going through. With Caroline wanting a fresh start away from the city, this small town is offering her a place to contemplate her thoughts and getting her head together, to start afresh with her life.
The story and both lead characters were very easy to relate to and I really did enjoy reading about them both. Nash was a very closed off man with a broken heart whereas Caroline was a free spirit and a breath of fresh air and much more open about her feelings and what she wanted. Reading Nash’s character was like watching a chrysalis turn into a butterfly which was awesome and made my heart swell with the love I felt for both these people.
With some enigmatic secondary characters that, in the future, I would love to read more about. This is a recommended read without a doubt.

There is so much I want to say about Room 143 and I’ve started and stopped and erased this review a few times but here it goes …. you do not want to miss this emotionally satisfying read !!! Nash broke my heart from the first page and continue to do so throughout the book with how much he loved the family he lost and how he went about deciding and achieving the goal of moving forward and living again!! The way these chapters sucked you in and made you feel like you were right there along with Nash and Caroline each and every step of the way on their journey to finding their happiness. There were times I wanted to wrap Nash up in a big ole hug my heart was crushed for him and then there were others I had to fan myself because the scene was so hot with all his hot alpha sexiness, this book really had the best of both worlds so to speak with a great balance of emotions and hotness. Heartbreakingly beautiful is how I’d describe Nash and Caro’s journey because you have all these emotions that are being pulled from you but in such a beautiful and fulfilling way that it leaves you happy and whole when you reach the end ! Whatever you do jump in and enjoy this beautiful journey you won’t be sorry !!

This book is so full of emotion. It is about a great woman who is a good girl, who acts a little bad. A great guy who has been good for far too long, and how they find each other. Watching this romance unfold was great. I hope we get more stories set in this world. I really enjoyed it.

**Please note, I was given an ARC for each of these books for an honest review of them. These reviews are my own thoughts and feelings and I have had no financial compensation to provide these reviews to you**
Wow. Just wow. First, let me iterate that this is NOT a book with cheating. This is so well written that in the prologue my heart was breaking for AND with Nash. Losing his wife and unborn child in a completely senseless drunk driving accident. 5 years of hurt and anger, and he needs to decide if he can let that go so he can move on. Caroline is burnt out working in the corporate world and decides to ditch it all to live in a small town. Well meaning brothers, and accidental on purpose case of switched identity leads to a great HEA.
You want to cheer for these two right from the get go. You can feel the spark between them. Insta heat. Laramie does a great job of walking us through their thoughts through most of the book. Things tend to get a little muddled (for me at least) in the final chapters, but the epilogue is perfect. Just absolutely perfect.
