Colt Somehow, she calms me and makes me feel sane. The feeling is so foreign to me that I really had to think about what it is. It’s peace. I have always felt so out of control, like an uncontrollable storm that destroys everything in its path. When I am with her, I feel at peace. She is able to calm the storm inside me as nothing has before. I know I don’t deserve this peace she is giving me, … giving me, but I don’t want it to stop either.
Josie
I should be scared of him. I should hate him. I really… really tried to hate him but I can’t.
I’m so confused because the guy I see and the guy everybody else sees are not the same. I feel so guilty for liking him, for wanting him and most of all for trusting him even after everything he has done. I know it doesn’t make sense but I love him.

Last book in the series and it’s been a great ride. I loved this series and I adore Colt and Josie so much. Full of twists and everything in between. Loved it.

A captivating suspense well written forbidden romance story. This is the redemption story of Colt and not a standalone but the last book of the Pushed Aside Series. This incredible journey of secrets, trust issues, love and second chance had me on the edge page after page. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC.
This is book 3 of the series. I really like this series. Book 3 is well written and characters are as well. The story draws you in from the beginning and keeps your interest. I recommend reading.

Before you dive in and read this book, you must grab a copy of the first two books in the series else you wouldn’t really get a good grasp of the character development of Colt and Josie. After I have read the first two books, I could not wait for this third installment. But I have to be honest that while it is still a good read, I found some of the situations in the plot downright impossible and quite annoying. For example, I could not really get how such a powerful man as a senator would not be able to find ways of making a simple problem as a drug addict mistress go away (not in a bad way. I am not saying the Jenna’s and Josie’s mom should be eliminated but what harm could it have done if he had adopted them both and gave them a good life? Just saying). Well, maybe it’s a cultural thing not to communicate properly with your significant others, or maybe it’s just the difference in moral views (I am not certain) but I did get annoyed at how the characters in the book holds on to secrets and stories which are not as complicated to solve if only talked out. Besides, I don’t really understand how Josie is hardly recognizable when she is supposed to be a daughter of one of the most powerful men in US. It’s not as if she’s living under a rock since she does attend social gatherings and all.
Anyways, I enjoyed the story still (in a detached way). When I read the whole thing, I kept reminding myself to create an alternate universe where proper communication and rebellious teens are the norm. Then again, that’s fiction for you. All in all, I’d recommend the book for reading just to find out for yourself what I mean.

This is the last book of the Pushed Aside Series and I loved it. This book was about Josephine and Colt. Although the way that Josie and Colt meet in book two was in form of a kidnapping, they grew to calm each other in a way they could not find comfort elsewhere. Each of these books have at least one individual if not both who lost their parent and was placed in a foster home. Josie and her twin were split when the family only adopted one daughter leaving Of course the surprising turn it took was unforeseen. Jenna, who is in the previous book, thought that once her and Josie turned 18, they would be free to live together and start a life as a family being that Josie’s adoptive parents did not like Jenna. Colt had made a decision to change his life after the fiasco in book two, but he decided to make that change near where Josie lives. The attraction between the two helped them become better for one another, even if their was protest by the twin sister. Well truths were discovered about the parents of the twins but also old friendships started to heal although Jenna could never forgive Colt for what he did, she accepted the love he had for her sister.

Ever since the ending of the last book I’ve been looking forward to this one. I liked how it went back in time but still left enough room for a full story after coming to the end of the last book. It was exciting and unexpected but great.

This stands alone but I suggest you read the previous stories in this series in order for some of the events to make sense. Josie and Colt are two people who would normally not belong together but they make sense. Their connection is immediate and it just means they have to work harder because the people around them may make their relationship harder. There’s suspense, twists and turns, and the love you expect. The bedroom scenes are not described though. They’re just mentioned.

Josie and Colt were never supposed to be together, but tell that to their hearts. Colt has been the bad guy if this series since book one and ur made me a little reluctant to read about his story, however, I am glad I did. These two were so perfect for one another it was beautiful to watch them get their love story. This book has a alot of fast action suspense as well as forbidden moments between that make it a good read.

This book is number 3 in the Pushed Aside Series. Josie and Colt are two opposite people when it comes to life. When Josie has an argument with her parents she sneeks out and runs into Colt who kidnaps her. Colt has hard time letting people doesn’t trust people that easily and his best friends used to be Jaxon and Hunter until they had a misunderstanding that ended there friendship. We discovery that Josie’s dad has a pretty big secret in this book \and I wouldn’t be fair if I told you what her secret is it would ruin the book for you. Colt and Josie start dating and they keep there relationship a secret from her twin sister Jenna but we find out this little fact in the second book. This book will take you on a journey of secrets, trust issues, love and second chances. Please read this book after reading The Things we Hide.

4 Stars
I enjoyed this book from the series as well. Great young adult romance storyline.
The only negative is that the first 50 pages or so is basically the retelling of the previous book in the series. This could be cut down and only highlights given.
Great series.
Cassandra did it again. This book was good. Twist & turns you never saw coming. How someone can keep an horrible secret is beyond me. The one person that is to protect you hurts you in the worst ways. I recommend reading this book to find out the secret.

This was a good read. The issue regarding what happens with Josie’s dad was a little too far fetched for me but they did get their HEA in the end.
When I chose this book, I did so on the strength of having read this author previously and enjoying her books. I didn’t realize this one was in the middle of a series I had not read. That aside, the author has written a very good book and the story is interesting, confusing at times and so I think everyone should read these from the very beginning of the series. The characters are also very interesting and fir the story perfectly.
