After breaking every rule in the book, I thought I’d seen and heard it all. I thought there would be no more surprises. I was dead wrong. Being on the run, keeping my mother safe, and learning to trust my demon friend Cirko was hard, but I managed–until an angel with huge white wings comes at my door. He claims I was tricked by the devil. He claims I’m more than what I thought I was my whole … I was my whole life. He claims he has the answers and that he’s going to keep us all safe.
So I trust him. I follow him. And I get more than I bargained for. Much, much more…

Wowza! I’m truly hoping there will be a book three coming! Be warned, SERIOUS cliffhanger ahead. This book is filled with oodles of action. We pick up where book one ended. With Willow saving Adrian’s life (or so she thinks) by making a deal with Lucifer…. One glitch is she can’t ever see him again or he forfeits his life. Then again Luc isn’t known for being truthful now is he? Most out the book is sort of like a funny buddy film. Adrian and his new BFF the angel Eae. As soon as he comes too Adrian tries to get back to Willow….until Eae fills him in on a few things. Throw in another surly Angel popping up from time to time to cause trouble, the occasional demon, archangel, Lucifer and a few more shockers along the way??? This book is FAR from boring!!! Willow learns she’s not human, not demon, and by the end she’s not quite certain what she is. What we do know is she’s mighty, and never count her down and out when it comes to anyone she cares about. Oddly enough, I’ll admit I loved the banter between Luc and Eae…. Hehe. My fingers are indeed crossed for book three as I’m on pins and needles to see what’s up next. Especially with the mysterious woman who tried to kill A that may or may not be blood related to him? Oh and the whopper of a shocker Willow gets in the final pages. Goodness help ANYONE or anything that goes up against her. I’m on her side . This series kicks serious butt!!
ONE EXTREMELY EXCITING TREAT!!!
Oh crap! I have to say this is one entertaining extravaganza. Scenes, characters, location and details were so realistic I had no trouble picturing each scenario as they play out right before my eyes. So many twists and turns that kept me captivated from start to finish. Surprises and unexpected glitches and scrapes around every corner kept my total focus on this page turning wonder with its raging storyline and thrilling plot. I wasn’t sure what I expected from this exciting gem, but true to from, Hoxa rocked it. I feel like I’m the one having the adventure. Hoxa definitely nailed this creation down. She did an awesome job bringing this bad boy to life smoothly. Emotions, personalities, attitudes and dynamics are 100% spot on for realism. I felt like I was dropped right in the middle of the excitement and wanted to make a stand with the main characters. Yeah, that got me no where. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it’s easy to interpret each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. Incredible job Hoxa, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
First let me state that I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Holy shiznet!!! This is the second book in this series and it’s just as good of not better than the first. There are demons, monsters, the Devil, angels, demon hunters, and the grim reaper, (who isn’t who you think he is). This is a continuation of book 1, but can be read alone. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
