Fall in love with the McAllisters of Seaview, Maine in the 1st of this contemporary romance series with plenty of sweet, steamy, and a dash of suspense. Resilient to the core, Maddy McAllister has worked hard to overcome a rough history. But, when her slimy ex comes back with plans to win her back, destroy the town, and bulldoze her father’s fisheries business, she has to face her past head-on, … her past head-on, and the stakes are much higher this time.
No stranger to danger, former deep-sea diver Chase Anderson will be there for Maddy every step of the way – if she’ll let him. Passion ignites when these 2 reunite and can no longer ignore the sparks between them.
When Maddy’s past threatens to crush everything she cares about, her world is turned upside down. And, maybe that’s not a bad thing…

Chasing Forever A Beachside Romance, Book 1 by Carrie Thorne was a Laid Back, Sweet Read!
This story was like sinking into a lounge chair, and enjoying a beautifully reflected, painted picture of a heart warming coastal town.
The peace and tranquility of the characters, and the storyline was palpable.
Chase Anderson, the H, and Maddy McAllister, the h, were the perfect afternoon excursion.
There were a few extra added words in the story, that distracted from the flow of the story, and a character last name disagreement, which is why it only received 4 stars.
Overall, in short, I enjoyed this story immensely!

Another great start to a series that looks very promising. It’s different than the other Carrie Thorne books that I’ve read. This one has more intrigue, action, and drama, by far. Her other books have been more lighthearted romances. Not this one!
Chase is returning to Seaview after a decade. He left behind a troubled past and a reputation that he’s afraid no one in Seaview has forgotten. Now, he’s returned to take over one of the town’s most prosperous businesses. He’s also reunited with his best friend and cohort in crime, Aiden. Oh, and Aiden’s little sister, Maddy. There’s no dating history there, but there is something.
Maddy returned to Seaview a couple of years ago. She fled town and an abusive ex. Not many know the entire story and Maddy had some reservations about returning, but she quickly earns her position and respect on the Seaview PD. Just as she is getting to know Chase again, her past comes back to haunt her.
There’s a little bit of everything in this one. The Beachside Romance series is going to be a good one!
The storyline was well written and the characters were so well rounded that I was totally glued to my kindle until the very end!
This is the 1st book I’ve read written by Carrie Thorne; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Amazing characters and a well developed storyline. Love the bits of humor woven in. This book is like a warm sunrise. A wonderful start to a new series. So well done. Realistic. I feel like I’m living the story right next to the characters. There is a dark thread woven through that adds so much more to the story. Seriously an amazingly well written book. I absolutely loved it.

Not a Light Romance
Despite the cover, which looks like one for a light and frothy beach romance, this book is not a contemporary light romance read. In fact, the first scene details the aftermath of an explosion on an oil rig out in the ocean. This happens right before the hero learns about the death of his father. Our introduction to the heroine also has a hard edge to it. I’ll admit to preferring a light and breezy contemporary romance rather than serious ones like this one. Therefore, I really couldn’t get into the book. I essentially liked the characters, but I found the plot to be a little darker than I prefer for romance. If you like romances on this darker side, with elements of danger and suspense, you might enjoy this book.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
