He’s raising the son she gave up for adoption. They’re falling for each other, but he doesn’t know she is the mother of his child. Giving her baby up was the hardest thing Emery Chase had to do, but when she saw her son seven years later in a chance encounter at the grocery store, she wasn’t sure how to handle it. He looked exactly like the pictures she received every six months, and her heart … pictures she received every six months, and her heart yearned to have a relationship with the child she was forced to give up.
After a car accident that left Seth Wellington with two broken arms, he needed caregiving assistance. The moment Emery Chase presented herself for an interview, he knew she was different but not in a good way. Her edgy appearance was more than his conservative mindset could handle, but her inability to be intimidated won him over in the end.
When two people who couldn’t be more different fell for each other, everything seemed almost perfect until Emery revealed who she really was.
Would they have the chance to become a family or was the betrayal too much to overcome?
*This is a contemporary Christian story with strong Biblical themes and Bible references.

Fifteen-year-old Emery gives up her baby for adoption. Five years later she applies to be his caregiver. What she doesn’t count on is falling in love with her son’s father. This is a fun book, folks! Sweet Christian romance. I think you’ll love it!
This story has such a unique situation that I was so ready to follow along on the journey, then I met the people in this story and couldn’t stop until the end. I especially loved the message of Christ within the story. I am going to start this series from the beginning and read it through now.
Evangeline draws you into the emotions of the characters. What a great storyline.
This one made me cry
This story has so much love in it. Emery was a teenage mom and gave up her son. Seth & his wife Allie were chosen by Emery, now years later she see him. But what is funny Emery ends up working for Seth, and now he is a widower. But there is so much more.
Loved the characters and the way the story was written very good read
I love this series!!! Every story has been so heartwarming and inspirational. Emery is such a great character, her life has not been easy on several accounts but she has inner strength of endurance even at a young age. Her best friend is so supportive and a perfect sounding board of stability for her. Seth is a “grumpy” “old” man, lol. He’s really not old but he’s rich yet his version of a perfect life has eluded & discouraged him. They have a few kinks to work out but their love for Zac puts them on equal and solid ground. So very well written clean, inspirational romance that doesn’t even need the steam to make it be a great read. She did it again, another 5+ story!! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.
She hadn’t made the best decisions as she was growing up and she had paid the price. Being a pregnant teen who had to give up her child and going on to even more bad choices had left her struggling. A chance meeting set her on a path, good or bad only time would tell. His heart had been scarred by a deep betrayal that had left him bitter and angry with no way to get past it. These two have no idea what’s in store for them. Their past tied them together but their futures hang in the balance. Finding each other meant they had to open their hearts but there was only one way for these two to do it. A story about trust and possibilities, about finding oneself and purpose, finding God and forgiveness. The author finds a way to get this point across without taking away from the story but to enhance the story. This clean read will touch you and fill you at the same time. I read this author the first time in a box set and loved her story so I had to come back for more. This standalone read was just what I needed and was thoroughly enjoyed.
I was hooked from the beginning, when 15 year old Emery watches her newborn son being given to his adoptive parents, and the new father falls in love with him immediately, then looks at Emery with understanding and thanks her.
The next part was a touch reaching, but still well written.
The rest of the book just flew, watching them all grow closer. I kept urging Emery to ‘just tell him!’, though she never did.
I would highly recommend this entertaining, though angsts at times romance!
This was a great story about a young girl making the difficult decision to give up her child and then unexpectedly reconnected with the child. Emery grew up with a tough life. I love her tenacity and character. She goes after what she wants, but she still has grace with her friends and brothers. Seth is afraid of having another relationship after his failed marriage. He’s definitely prickly on the outside, but soft and warm on the inside. Both coming from different backgrounds adds to some of the humor sprinkled in the book. Seth has a relative that is persistent in sharing Christ. Emery has a friend that is also persistent. Seth and Emery discover a relationship with Christ has been something they have been missing in their lives. Watching as they grow in that relationship and seeing their own relationship blossom was sweet. Overall this was a sweet clean romance with characters that have an edge to them.
Blind Date with a Billionaire Single Dad is a heart warming, clean/Christian romance. Ms. Kelly always manages to tug on my heartstrings. For such an emotional story, there are several laugh out loud moments – particularly when Seth interviews Emery! There are not a lot of characters in the story, but they are well portrayed they jumped off the page for me! I highly recommend this well written book to lovers of clean romance.
Blind Date with a Billionaire Single Dad is a well-written romance. Seth and Emery were an unlikely pair, but the author had me seeing them as the perfect couple and pulling for their romance. This story tugged at my emotions. I recommend this story to clean/wholesome romance readers and to Christian romance readers. I plan to read more of this author’s work.
Very small cast of well done characters.
Heart-rending scenes.
Very strong Christian message with “come to Christ” conversations between characters.
What would you do if you stopped at a store and unexpectantly met the son that you gave up for adoption? That’s what happened to Emery Chase about seven years after she signed the adoption papers..
In her newest book, Blind Date with a Billionaire Single Dad, Ms. Kelly explores adoption and its ramifications for all involved parties.. She did an excellent job doing it. The book grabs the readers’ attention as it takes them on an emotional roller coaster ride. You fall in love with a sweet, but stubborn 7 year old boy; witness Emery and Seth, Zac’s dad, become friends and a lot more; and, watch the fireworks and devastation when Emily tells Seth the truth. Since Ms. Kelly writes Christian fiction, there are many situations where Emery leans on her faith. The passages help define the person that Emery has become. They are in no way “preachy” or offensive. This is an excellent book and I really enjoyed it. I think that anyone who reads romance books would like this book.
I really enjoyed Blind date with a Billionaire Single Dad. I laughed so hard when Seth first met Emery in the interview and the Shirt scene. The story was full of emotional ties causing heartache, commitment, love and joy. I highly recommend this book if you love clean stories with heart.
This one tugged at my heart and I felt so bad for Emery. What happens when she sees her son after several years? A slow development of their relationship and a few reconciliations. Left me with a smile. Loved the ending.
Every time I think Evangeline Kelly’s books can’t get any better, yet they do!
A great romance, clean but sexy with a great twist. As always the characters are captivating and likeable. Even the one grumpy, difficult brother is ok. After all every family has one complainer in it’s mix.
A definite must read for all romance addicts.
I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
By accident Emery meets her son Zac who she had given up for adoption seven years ago. She applies for a job to help Seth, her son’s father who has been injured, but didn’t tell him who she was. But who will get hurt when the truth will be revealed? Can she convince Seth that she didn’t not just his son but also him?
I really enjoyed this emotional story. They seemed so different but could make it work. It has some laugh-out-loud moments but also some teary eyes moments.
