This is book three in the Lonestar Love series but can be enjoyed by itself.

An emotional second chance romance.
I really enjoyed this book about Caroline and Sven. They both had to face things in life that changed them but they never stopped loving each other, deep down. When Caroline finally gets a job as a school teacher in San Miguel, Texas she is relieved to have to the chance to settle down with her young son, Micah. But then she is introduced to the pastor of the town, Sven, who just happens to be the father of Micah. A son he knew nothing about until he came face to face with him. Sven never stopped loving Caroline and knows that he has to make up for his actions to get his family together. But Caroline isn’t quite so ready to forgive him as she bore the heavy brunt of their love. It’s a really good romance that will have you giggling, crying, and sighing along the way.
This book is so good! It fits well in the timeframe and does deal with spanking but Caroline always has to admit she earns it. Sven is very protective of her and Micah… not that anyone can blame him for that.

I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could. If you have been reading the San Miguel stories, this is the latest addition to them. If you are a time travel fan, spoiler alert in that this story does not involve time travel, and it isn’t missed. It does have John and Marcie Wayne in it in minor roles, but the stars of this story are Sven and Caroline. It is a wonderfully told story of lust, trust, betrayal, forgiveness and second chances. If you object to a bit of Christian morals being presented then you will not enjoy this book. If you like the idea of the man leading in his family, keeping his wife and family safe and taken care of, seeing him apply discipline when needed, then you will find this book to be a joyful read. And this story is told with great realism and gut wrenching as well as joyful rendition of the human character. And even the small scenes of depicting the day to day activities of a toddler are told with sweet perceptiveness. Truly a great read. And the epilogue promises another good story to come!

Destiny Finds a Way
This is such a great read and completely captivates you into its pages.
Preacher Sven has a secret. New teacher Caroline has a secret. Both have made past mistakes that have changed them.
One thing is clear even though they both have been hurt, neither of them has stopped loving the other one.
When Sven meets supposedly widowed Caroline’s son Micah, he knew without a doubt that blond-headed child is his son he never knew about.
Will he win her back and form a secure home for his family.
Before long danger comes calling. We have a decision to make but whatever we choose we will do it together.
I was utterly engrossed within these pages. Can not wait for Victoria Phelps next book.

I absolutely adore this book.
This is a rather complex story about a woman who was left alone has a babe out of wedlock and decides to pretend to be a widow. Oh, fate set in and the child father is in the same town as she is. Is there a second chance for these two? This is a sweet well-written historical and was unexpected and outstanding read. I highly recommend you check it out.
