An explosive and epic love story set in the gritty world of the Storm MC. This is the second book in the new Storm MC Reloaded series from USA Today bestselling author Nina Levine.
“Wow…unputdownable! This book is an angsty, steamy, forbidden, slow burn with some major push and pull.” – Fun Under The Covers Blog

As much as I loved Hurricane Hearts and the back story it delivered, this felt more like a book from the author.
It was dark, it was gritty, it was REAL.
Bring on the next book!
First of all I want to say what the hell took me so long to read this author?!? MC is one of my favourite genres. And secondly why did I not read book one first lol
The author is correct, this can be read as a stand-alone. In terms of a romantic couple it is complete in terms of the underlying MC story whilst reading book one would’ve been beneficial it wasn’t necessary. In the beginning I did feel like I had missed something but it didn’t take long to work it out and we all know a good MC story has something big going down anyway. Nina did a great job at filling in the blanks so I didn’t feel it was that big of an issue. I am now going to read book one read for the final part because that cliffy has me wanting to throw my kindle !!
Fury had my attention from page one… that guy made my knees go weak and my ovaries explode. He was raw, brutal and most definitely earned his MC handle. Zara was a great match for Fury, having grown up in the MC world for the most part. I’m glad the author dealt with her situation with sensitivity. All too often what she experienced is over and done with in days and that’s not true to reality so bravo Nina I’m glad you stayed true to life and gave the situation time to develop in an acceptable time frame.
I cannot rave about this book enough, so if you love MC, love dark, brutal, raw then read this… only maybe start with book one !!
This is a delicious, heartfelt, slow burn. Zara is one of the strongest woman characters that I have ever read about in a romance. It’s only natural with King as her father. Her battle with mental health screams at me because I know that battle all too well. Thank you for sharing that Nina! You’ve brought something into a book that not a lot of authors take on, something serious that people often hide. The chemistry between Fury and Zara is off the charts. I about screamed half way through the book because I did not expect it to take that turn at all! It packed plenty of steam that did not disappoint. Fury is everything, from his gorgeous looks to his patience, respect, and love. He loves like no other. In a way that makes your heart want to burst out of your chest. Zara struggles but learns to cope with the help of the people she loves and most of all a strength that’s all her own. Everything was brought together beautifully from beginning to end. I FLOVED this book so hard!
3.5 stars!
After the very long wait for this book to be released, the anticipation was at an all time high, I so love Nina’s storytelling normally, and I so hate saying this but it just didn’t live up to the expectations I had. Yes I liked it as far as a MC romance goes but after recently reading Winter and Birdies story in Hurricane Hearts I felt there were a few too many similar things going on, not necessarily the same but with elements of the same kind of theme. It was a bit unimaginative and after waiting so long it was kind of a disappointment, I don’t know maybe if i’d never read the previous book in this series I wouldn’t have felt this way.
As always with this author the writing was good and it flowed well, it’s just it’s plotline and content that left me wanting this book to be so much more.
I was mesmerized by every single word and every single moment of Zara and Fury. JESUS, I was glued to my kindle for hours without a single break except when my mind went blank and I utter what the actual fuck when I flipped the page and I read Part 2 four years later. um, whaaaaat just happened?!
SO, now you know this story is told in two parts LOL and most of the time, at least in my experience, when I read these types of stories (divided in parts) its because we’re being told about someone’s past and then jump to present day. Not this time. This is more like part one was Zara and Fury growing and part two was MC madness. Not gonna lie, it was weird. I mean yes, when you read an MC romance, there’s usually a club business ARC that goes along with the romance arc of the story, but this was like one or the other mostly. I dunno, it was odd.
This isn’t a standalone. There, I said it LOL It’s actually rare that an mc romance is a standalone if you include club business as part of the book and some authors don’t. But this one did. Most definitely. Not only is it part of the book, but at the end you’re left hanging with a bunch of unanswered question *shrug* And I am totally okay with that , I’m just kinda weirded out by the presentation of the whole thing.
I’m a huge fan of Nina Levine and mc romances in general and obviously I will continue reading her work and this series but that whole blindsided parts thing in this story still has me twitchy. I’m seriously confused as to why the focus of Zara and Fury took such and extreme backseat in part two and why club business and their romance journey wasn’t just one evenly told story without a huge gap in between. #sendhelp It makes me a little sad to rate the book middle of the road with 3.5 stars, but my twitchiness just can’t round it up to 4 stars so 3 it is.
Anywho, on to Battle Hearts in January 2020! I’m looking forward to maybe (lol) getting some club business answers and seeing where Nina takes the Storm MC! I’ll be better prepared next time for excessive club shenanigans!! 😉

Oh goodness…
I honestly am so conflicted on how I feel about this book.
So, I guess first off this book is separated into two parts.
In part one Zara is 18 years old and living the life of a wild woman. However, behind all her wild nights lives a woman who is terrorized and plagued with demons and nightmares of the one night that changed her life.
Fury is King’s go to guy who does a lot of the dirty work for the club. He lives is life by the rules of his club and without any kind of ties or commitments (besides those having to do with the club).
In the first part of the book, there really isn’t much of a sexual relationship between Zara and Fury. It’s more a friendship that comes to when Fury helps Zara overcome her demons and helps her to see the actions of that night are not her fault. And Zara show Fury that she is so much more than a pampered princess that he started out believing she was. She tough and has more courage and grit than any woman he’s ever known.
Then we get to the second half of the book…this is honestly where I felt a little disconnected from the story. 4 years have passed and Zara has overcome her nightmares and terrors and has finally found something in life that she enjoys. Her personal life and relationships however, haven’t exactly been anything to write home about since she’s still (yes, still after 4 years) mending a broken heart.
Fury, after issues drove him away from Zara is trying to put his life back together. Club issues and enemies are starting to rise and cause more pain and destruction for Storm.
When it comes to part two, I honestly no longer felt any kind of connection between Zara and Fury. In part one I loved how the relationship was building and the way they started out as friends. However, I guess I was kinda hoping that we would get more of a build-up with their relationship in part two, especially since it’s been 4 freakin years they were separated. Instead we get Fury demanding that Zara give them a chance now and she just gives in.
One thing I do like about Nina’s books is that her books are just solely based on a romance. We get all the club issues and how they are resolving them. Which was awesome to see, but man does it suck that we are kind of left on a cliffhanger when it comes to these issues!
